Mews POS: Making the Change

Transitioning from a familiar system to something entirely new can feel overwhelming. As a member of the Mews Onboarding team, I've had the opportunity to guide numerous customers through the process of adopting Mews POS. However, the onboarding journey may encounter delays due to assumptions or incorrect actions.

In this article, I'll be offering valuable insights on how you can proactively prepare for a seamless transition to Mews POS.

1. Onboarding timeline

It would be helpful to monitor your workload closely to ensure the successful launch of your POS within the given four-week timeline.

Below is the timeline that we work to together to ensure the process stays on track:

2. Complete POS courses on Mews University

We highly recommend you and your team completing the Mews University POS courses. By completing the courses you will be able to confidently navigate the system and easily perform your job tasks.

3. Include all relevant stakeholders in the onboarding process

Introduce your team to your POS onboarding manager - the initial Welcome Call is the best time to make these intros. It's essential that everyone understands their role and collaborates to achieve a successful launch. Your F&B team's input is crucial in structuring your account to best suit your daily operations.

4. Check your hardware

To ensure a smooth and successful launch, it's highly recommended that you have your hardware (printers and card readers) ready with updated software and tested at least 5 days before you go live. This will give you peace of mind and help you identify and address potential issues or glitches before going live. Find out more about these requirements in this article: General requirements for Mews POS.

5.  Maintain consistent communication with your onboarding manager and seek assistance.

Our team is here to support and guide you. If there is anything you are unsure of, make sure to raise it with your Onboarding Manager so we can discuss and iron out any creases.
You can rest assured that your journey with Mews POS is safe and secure. It is a significant step towards achieving your goals, and we are committed to making it a successful one.
