Failed payments

Hello,We have recently onboarded and are experiencing some weird issues with mews payments. I have certain card transactions which “seem” to go through in the sense that they generate a payment that appears on the invoice, allows us to close it and also appears in the payment report in the Carte-Terminal section and in my accounting report. The transaction itself when processed did not result in any failure message to the user but its status in the payment report is empty and does not read “Débité” like my other successful transactions. The transaction does not appear in my payout report and has been confirmed by support to have basically failed. Does anybody else experience such issues? Is it me or is it absolutely not normal for the system to1.) Not warn the user at payment time that a transaction has failed so that he may correct it.2.) Not flag the transaction status as failed.3.) post a payment for this failed transaction that shows up on the closed invoice and in my accounting re

Rate Structure

Hello everyone,It happened now a few times that I was in contact with hotels, that were not sure about how they would like to set up their rate structure, what rates to offer and how to define cancellation policies etc.Thus, I thought it would be nice to ask the community about what it is that is important for you, when developing a new rate structure?What are rates, where you think that they are a must-have?To me I often see the following rates:Flexible Rates (with free cancellation) Automatic payment only at the beginning of the stay Non-Refundable Rates (with no cancellation possible) Automatic payment at confirmation of the stay And sometimes special/cheaper rates that can only be booked if I stay for a specific amount of nights When I would create this rate structure, I personally would try to work as much as possible with derived rates. Hello Mews Community! 🤠 Using accounting categories, you can easily organize and track your property's products, revenue, and payments. Once you've set them up, your accounting team can make good use of these categories to keep tabs on your income and expenses 💻💳Remember, the accounting categories are different from your actual products. They simply help you link your products to specific categories for better organization 📁📂. So, let's say you have a shop on your property. You can link all the items to the 'shop 🛒' accounting category. When you check your accounting report and expand that category, voila! You'll see all the products linked to it, giving you a nice breakdown of your revenue. Oh, and don't worry, it'll even show the revenue divided by VAT rates.🤓 To create an accounting category you can follow this guide from the help center ❔If you are working with an accounting software, you will have to fill in the ledger account code.
