Hi Mews Community.  Does anyone know how I can create restrictions in MEWS to accomplish the following:If the date of arrival is more than 30 days away, a booking needs to have a minimum of 2 nights.  (New one night bookings are only to be allowed if arrival date is closer than 30 days from now.) (Will apply to an Exact Rate)I have tried a few things in Services > Stay > Restrictions but cannot seem to get it to work.    

Hello there,Some of our rooms are used as meeting rooms quite often during the week. I understood that in that case it’d be better to create a new bookable service in order to registrate these time slots. However it is not really clear to me how I’ve to set this up.Someone has some experience with this ?

Dear Community Can you help me in finding out the correct MEWS Integration information? We would like to start sending SMS to guest who has already arrived in the hotel and has done their check-in.  I could not found any action to set up this zap. Looking forward to ideas :)

Hi all,How do you manage the tracking of your rollaway beds / baby cots at your location?We would like to find a way to associate the product with a reservation. To be noted, we only have a few of those on site and don’t always charge for their placement. Furthermore, the product report does not show which reservations have the product charged anyways.How do you keep track with how many beds are already confirmed or placed into the rooms with Mews? At this time we are using an excel sheet. Creating the bookable service seem to confusing and not mistake-proof..Thanks for your tips on that!

Hey at all We do have a challenge with the 2-way connection between Expedia - Siteminder - Mews The prices we sent out from MEWS comes 1:1 to Siteminder. From Siteminder to Expedia we charge + € 5 and + 5%  All the time when we receive a Expedia Booking in MEWS we need to change the price manually.Any Ideas, why the prices are incorrect?With booking.com we do not have this problems and they do have the same set up. Looking forward to your help

Hi,I’d like your advice on the following dilemma.We have 2 apartments, which we offer as apartments for 2 people. Each apartment has two extra bedrooms, which we open up for 3+ or 5+ guests (using extra beds function). As apartment 2 has larger extra bedrooms than the apartment 1, we would like to use different prices per extra bed (€55 per extra bed in apartment 1 and €75 per extra bed in apartment 2).As far as I can see, it is not possible to specify extra bed price per room type (or override the extra bed price per room type).Has anybody else had this issue, and if so how did you solve it?I’m thinking along the following lines:I suppose I could add a new tariff group for each apartment with it’s own tariff (based on the standard tariff), and set the extra bed price in each tariff. But that I suppose would require restrictions (to make each apartment only available to it’s dedicated tariff).As these apartments wi

Hi My accountant is asking for a report that details each reservation and their payments.Is there a way to extract this information? Looking at the various reports I can get all the reservations and their totals.And all the payments and their bills per person (the MEWS way) Anyone have an idea how to get the payments per reservation? Thanks!!

Hey!Anyone else that has experienced that (especially) front desk staff are not signing in on their own accounts, and rather just use the account already logged on?I feel like an automatic sign-out after being inactive for 10-15 minutes might help (if autofill-in can be disabled). This would also be beneficial for security reasons.How have you approached this?

We have a customer profile setup called ‘House Account’ this is shared across the enterprise & when a member of the public walks by & wants to purchase a product, we use the house account to process the sale.  The House Account is now very slow to load, due to a large amount of closed bills & payments.  We were suggested to create new house accounts each month, but unwilling to do that as the database will get messy very quickly.  If the guest is staying in house with us, we are encouraging staff to look up the guest to add the sale however some sites are very busy & if the guest purchases washing powder, bottle of water etc.. it is quicker for the staff to add to the generic house account rather than getting the guest details to add to their account. Really keen to hear if you have experienced this challenge & what you’ve done to overcome it.

Alright, who is a champion on the Mail Templates?Essentially, I assume (and we all know how good that is) that if I see a mail template, in the list, it is being sent out. There is no way to draft as I do not see a on/off switch, is that the case?As well, I see something on the list, buuuuuut I know it isn't being sent out. What’s the deal with that?Finally, can we create new ones or only work with the list that is there?Luv,Dan

I realised that the Mews booking engine does not use labels for the form (first name, last name, email address, ...). Autofill won't work properly.Most browsers support autofill and I think Mews should make use of that. It will bring more convenience for guests.I posted this as an idea in the Mews feedback forum. Hi everyone, i was wondering how you set up your rate management.We load the rate for double occupany and insert in adjusments -15 for a negative occupancy. Because of that we are not able to work with child prices. Has anyone else this problem? We are now thinking about to change the rate managment to single occupany. But is it then possible to book for 3 persons? Thank you!Nina

We are currently using Lightspeed L series but I’m not happy about the mapping nor the QR ordering possibilities . As an alternative we are of course looking into Mews POS.Does someone here have some experience with it already and could give me some feedback ?Thanks in advance

Hi guys, I would like to have your feedback on the following scenario: The property has a third-party supplier who rents out the kitchen.They sell meals to guests and locals.The hotel has a bar which is handled by the property. When guests take a meal from a supplier, they charge this in Mews on a room.At the end of the month, they pay the taken amounts back to the supplier.The same with Lightspeed, they book the meal in LS and take the payment on behalf of the supplier. This means they book revenue that is not actually theirs and payout 100%.They don’t wish to have separate terminals as the guest would need to pay for the food to the supplier and for the drinks to the hotel. IMHO this is a standard to have outsourced facilities and manage the accounting accordingly and the accountant should be able to deal with that easily, but as per them it is not the way they wish to handle that...any feedback wou

I have an overbooking in my hotels, not sure what caused it. What do I do?

I was recently contacted directly by Google to pilot with them for a new ads product. This is apparently more than sending the rates, availabilities... from MEWS to Google - something a lot of hotels running MEWS might already have. The bottom line is spending money based a on cost per click / commission model to rank higher as the OTAs and generate more revenue (which is Google’s promise, at least main assumption). I’m wondering how I can measure direct bookings related from a Google campaign? We run the integrated MEWS booking engine. Without being able to report on the success of a campaign I’m not willing to spend any incremental budget on that. Is anybody familiar with this topic and can help me regarding the backend integration? Thanks
