Hello! We are new to the Mews community and are running into a small issue.Currently we have a minimum stay set up for the Fridays (3 nights) and Saturdays (2 nights) throughout the year.We have this setup through a closed for arrival restriction with the exemption being the minimum nights. However, we would like for this restriction to disappear X amount of nights before the arrival date to fill in any remaining gaps.We have tried adding a Maximum Before exemption, but this does not seem to work. Do you have any tips & tricks? Kind regards, Patrick

Hello  Wondering if anyone can help me do this. I need to create a reservation sales report for Summer season for a specific space- may 1 2025 to oct 31 2025I think I know how but on the interval option I cannot see the ability to do a range. I see current month, year, quarter etc. Any help , much appreciated. Thanks. 

Is there a way to restrict a rate in the Mews booking engine to mobile only? We want to offer Mobile path discounts on OTAs, but I cannot see a way to match this on the Mews Booking Engine. 

Hallo zusammen!Ich stehe mal wieder vor einem Rätsel.Wir bieten seit Kurzem die Möglichkeit, das bei Buchungen über unsere Website (IBE vom Channelmanager, nicht von Mews) nicht nur per Kreditkarte sondern auch per Paypal bezahlt werden kann. Wenn eine Rate gebucht wird, die direkt bezahlt werden muss, schickt Mews direkt diese Mail an den Gast, dass nicht abgebucht werden kann, weil keine Zahlkarte hinterlegt ist. Der Gast hat aber bereits per Paypal bezahlt. Selbst wenn ich die Zahlung Minuten später verbucht habe, ist die Mail schon raus. Das führt bei den Gästen zu Verwirrung.Gibt es eine Möglichkeit, dass die Paypal-Zahlung irgendwie von Mews registriert wird und diese Mail, dass nicht abgebucht werden kann, nicht rausgeht?Wie handhabt ihr das bei Paypal-Zahlungen?Vielen Dank und viele GrüßeHeike

Hallo zusammen, wenn wir in Mews den Haken setzen bei ‘Stornierungskosten erheben’ werden die Stornokosten aber mit 7 % anstatt mit 0% Mwst. aufgebucht.Ist das etwas, was wir über die Einstellungen steuern können, oder ist das ein Mewsthema?Danke euch. viele Grüße, Jasmin

Hi everyone,  We have a reception desk with 2 computers and multiple people who use them and nobody was logging out of their mews account, so the first person who logged into mews that morning had every action on their name. Hello All, we’re quite new to MEWS and this is my first question in this community. Attending Unfold in Amsterdam next week while searching for Hotels I recognized at BobW guest options for Local gym access and Breakfast partners all integrated in the Mews Booking Engine as it seems. Does anyone know what software integration can be used for such nice features? We are in the city centre of Hamburg/Germany and surrounded from nice Fitness Studios and Cafés. Just finished onboarding but we have not been able to setup our prepaid OTA rates correctly. Are any of you in an area where Expedia rates are programmed in your PMS as net rates and tax is withheld and paid by Expedia? If yes, how did you set up your rates in Mews?

I have been working through the various pieces of documentation to setup GA4 and the MEWS Widget with mixed results. After implementing the setup, i opened google tag manager in preview mode as well as GA4 in debug mode to check that events were being triggered. While navigating through my website, events were triggered successfully up until where i would expect the purchase event to trigger. While a purchase was made and all events leading up to the purchase were triggered, the purchase was not triggered at all, as well as no page location or page name triggering.  I have double checked my setup and implementation a number of times with no obvious errors, and also reviewed the community topics (some of which seem to have a similar problem but never got an answer).  Hoping to find some guidance from anyone that has had the same issue. 

Hello!What options exist for metasearch with the Mews booking engine? Are there any? I’m seeing Mirai, but that looks like it would be a new booking engine solution in general that supports metasearch. Our CRS is Siteminder, but this isn’t an option for a booking engine for us.

Dear Mews community,do you know if we do have a tools to track repeating guests? I know it is visible in the timeline, but that is not enough for tracking in reporting.What is your approach, how do you track repeating guests prior the arrival? Manual report or some data from MEWS?Thank you,Dan

Dear reader, I am in the process of starting a cooperation with a new OTA. The reservations will reach Mews via our standard Channel Manager (Stardekk).Anything I need to do so that the reservation gets read into Mews correctly? (eg. should I like a ‘Travel Agency’ or something? Or will the reservation simply drop, mentioning the name of the new OTA?)Thanks ! :-)

Hallo!Kann mir jemand bei der Abrechnung eines AirBnB-Gastes helfen?Die Zahlung kommt ja dann über AirBnB und der Gast muss bei uns nichts bezahlen. Richte ich dann eine Steuerungsregel ein oder wie handhabt ihr das?Der von AirBnB ausgezahlte Betrag ist dann allerdings auch um die Kommission vermindert. Wie geht ihr damit um? Bei Expedia Collect wird der verminderte Betrag übertragen, bei AirBnB aber, soweit ich das gesehen habe, nicht.Dann habe ich außerdem noch das Problem, dass die Kreditkartendaten vom Gast mit übermittelt wurden und es bei uns bei der Rate so eingestellt ist, dass automatisch die Kreditkarte belastet wird. Somit hat der Gast jetzt doppelt bezahlt. Alles ein bißchen blöd gelaufen.Wer kann mir Tipps geben, damit das besser läuft? Danke im Voraus!Viele GrüßeHeike 

Hallo zusammen!Wir bei der VAYA Group befinden uns mitten in unserem Umstellungsprozess auf Mews. Wir haben jetzt unsere ersten 3 Hotels live, und es ist eine Frage aufgetaucht, bei der ihr uns vielleicht helfen könnt.Wir haben bei VAYA regelmäßig Busgruppen, bei denen wir gemäß dem Meldengesetz eine Gruppenmeldung machen können, bei der nur der Reiseleiter die Meldung unterschreiben muss.Die Daten unserer Mitreisenden (Name, Geburtsdatum) lassen wir im Voraus ausfüllen und sind bereits in Mews.Wie geht ihr mit solchen Busgruppen um und wie meldet ihr diese Gruppen bei Feratel oder Capcorn an?Laut Feratel sollten wir das über Mews machen, aber wie wir das am besten machen sollten, ist uns leider unklar.Vielen Dank im Voraus für eure Hilfe!Liebe Grüße,Judith

Has anyone had this error message that the automatic billing is removed when you change another rate in an existing reservation?I have set up automation for one company, but also selected all rates in the settings.Best regards,Jasmin

Hello everybody, I’m part of a new hotel that just opened.We had our first event and we have trouble with the billing. Our billing goes through another program than Mews and we don’t know how to close our bill in Mews. Does someone have the same and could help me? Thanks a lot, Ameline

Does anyone know if Mews is planning a feature where you get an error message or notification if the mail transfer was not successful? It is not possible to check every send status after a confirmation or invoice. Also, many mails from mews seem to end up in the spam folder. 

Phishing emails sent to guests – are others experiencing this?We are currently experiencing an issue where fraudulent emails are being sent to our guests. These emails contain their reservation number and urge them to enter their credit card details via a link.What’s particularly concerning is that the emails include both the correct email address and reservation number for upcoming stays.We use Mews as our only system where both guest email addresses and reservation numbers are stored – so we would like to know if others are experiencing similar issues or are aware of any potential security breach in Mews?

Hi Community,Has anyone else experienced issues with keycutting from Mews to Visionline for large rooms?Keys for rooms of 4 guests or smaller, works fine. Rooms of 6 or more guests, keys cannot be cut via Mews and must be cut directly in visionline. The mapping within Mews has been checked, the settings within visionline have been checked. Support from both companies cannot figure it out.  Hoping someone has already discovered the magic setting to get this working! 

What is absolutely missing in the Excel template is the column with language. You always have to go back to the profile to enter the language so that communication takes place in the guest's language. Please add this urgently!!!

Am I crazy to think the current SOP for optional reservations in MEWS does not make sense? Currently:FD: Manually create Optional Reservation MEWS: Optional Reservation Email sent GUEST: clicks on email and then “Confirms” MEWS: Reservation Confirmed MEWS: “Reservation Confirmation” automatically sent to guest which contains link to “Online check-in” FD: Requests Guest to check-in online (even though stay date could be months in advance) so that credit card details are taken GUEST: Checks in Online (hopefully!) and enters CC info FD: We can charge the reservationThat Step 6 winds up being very confusing and frustrating
