Subject: Issue with Credit Card Pre-Authorization ProcessHello everyone,At Hotel St Pol, we require a credit card number from all our guests to guarantee their booking. For direct bookings, we ask for the credit card number, and during online check-in, the guest must confirm their credit card. When booking online, the guest enters their credit card number and must immediately verify it.Until about 10 days ago, we had to ask approximately 15% of our guests to verify their credit card because they hadn't done so yet. However, in recent days, we've encountered issues with about 70% of our reservations when attempting to perform pre-authorizations. We are curious if there have been any changes to the software or with Stripe that could be causing this.For some of our regular guests, who have a valid credit card on file, we suddenly receive a "Pending" status, or we find it impossible to perform a pre-authorization, receiving messages that immediate payment is

Hi everyone, We’ve configured payment policies in Mews for our main rate groups (“Non-Refundable,” “Best Available Rate,” and “Long Stay”) to automatically charge the guest’s credit card at the time of booking confirmation (mode: automatic, timing: confirmation, method: charge from payment card). This setup was mainly intended for direct bookings on our website, where we also want to enable alternative payment methods. However, we’ve recently noticed that these automatic policies are also being applied to channel manager bookings (e.g., via Booking.com), which is causing issues. For every channel booking, we now receive an “Action required – failed to charge card” message, as we prefer to handle these payments manually. I have two questions regarding best practices: Rate groups vs. payment policies – Does it make sense to create separate rate groups for direct bookings and channel manager bookings (e.g., separate BAR

Guten Morgen, gibt es hier in der Community jemanden der Duetto in Kombi mit MEWS erfolgreich verwendet? Gibt es Tools die mit MEWS nicht funktionieren? (oft stellt sich das ja erst nach Integration raus)Hauptsächlich geht es mir um die Automatisierung. Das Restriktionen setzten. Und um die Möglichkeit in Duetto Raten mit verschiedenen Abschlägen einzustellen über eine Restriktion (z.B. die Frühbucherrate). For the last couple mornings my head housekeeper has noticed that all stays are automatically being changed to clean, but they should be dirty so she has to manually change them to dirty? does anyone have a fix for this ?

Moin zusammen,ich bin auf der Suche nach einem Bericht, der mir das Verhältnis der wiederkehrenden Gäste zur Belegung zeigt.Ich möchte dabei die Anzahl RN in einem Zeitraum im Verhältnis zur Gesamtbelegung. Hintergrund: Wir wollen herausfinden, in wie weit ein Goodie-Programm für Wiederkehrer sinnvoll ist.Was ich finde, sind Zahlen zu den Personen über die Gästestatistik, übrigens auch, wenn ich dort Nächte (!?) filtere,oder über den Reservierungsbericht die einzelnen Reservierungen, allerdings müsste man die manuell zählen und müsste zudem über die Aufenthaltsdauer die RN dazu ausrechnen. Das kann es nicht sein, aber ich werde nicht fündig.Hat jemand eine Idee? Viele GrüßeLeif

I just received an email from a bride saying that she is the only one receiving reservation confirmations--if her guests book online through the availability block link, they don’t get their own confirmation. Has anyone else had this issue or know how to fix it? Thanks! 

Hallo zusammen,weiß jemand, ob es Änderungen in der Zuweisung von Stornobedingungen geben soll?Ich verstehe nicht, warum man die Stornofristen nicht unabhängig von einer Rate hinterlegen kann.@Mews gibt es nicht die Möglichkeit die Restriktionen als zusätzliches Reservierungsfeld einzubauen?Als Messehotel ist es echt anstrengend mit über 20 Raten arbeiten zu müssen, aufgrund verschiedener Stornofristen.Vielleicht hat ja jemand einen Anwendertipp? Danke und viele Grüße

Would it be possible to add an optional company name field in the booking process?During the week we have a lot of business guests and they need an invoice in the name of the company. There are many reasons why this makes sense: It helps us already before check-in to see who's coming or identify several reservations by guests from the same company or a booking from a new guest from a “returning” company or you can reduce the number of change requests because of wrong billing address etc…..It’s useful and necessary in every way and the OTA’s send this information as well.This couldn't be too big of a deal, or?Thanks,Max

When my head housekeeper is assigning rooms to the housekeeping team for cleaning she has to assign rooms for both checkouts and stays, checkouts take a lot more time then stays so she try’s to give the staff an equal amount of both but in the system there is no way to differentiate these so she has to do a manual process of figuring it out as there is not housekeeping report that can help with this either 

As the header reads. We make notes on the guest invoice in the restaurant but the notes don’t show on the final bill. Usually the notes are ref.numbers or group names. Essesntial for the billing department and also the customer. Help, please.

Hi Everyone! I see that a lot of the time the email customization is a bit simple. With the HTML allowing you to fully customize these templates, I would love to see what you have done with yours. How have you customized your templates? Do you have any screenshot examples to show? Is there anything that you would suggest as a best practise? What softwares did you use to make the templates (if any)?@BertSerry I know that Yalo Hotel is an incredible example of one. Hello mewsters!I have been struggling with for a long time: what would be the best way to manage apartments that are located in different addresses than our hoste/hotel? We currently have two separate mews “profiles” but it doesn’t seem to help. One of the problems is to send individual confirmation emails/arrival instructions. I know there is lot of PMS’s systems that can do this easily, but is there a way to do this with MEWS?Thanks for sharing your best practices and tips!

Hello .We are new to mew. I read an article on saving filters for reports and creating a custom link.Sounds like a great idea. i tried that. Created a custom link. When I click on the link ( In custom links section ) nothing happens. Does anyone use this feature ? Thanks.
