Housekeeping Team has full rights to view Manager Reports, finance,... ?

Good Day.When my housekeeping team members log into their accounts on a PC (not in the mobile APP), they can browse through all manager reports, financial details etc.Yes, I double checked if the rights setting is made for “Housekeeping only”.Just that one box is checked.Any idea why that is possible ?have a great day.Carsten

No email sending to guest for OTA bookings

Recently we have setup the Mews app with Mail templates sending to guest automatically.  It was all good for Direct booking through booking engine.  However, for those OTA bookings (such as Booking.com), the guest never receive any email setup on Mews (including confirmation email and online checkin etc).  We can confirm the integration is fine (Bookings and rate are synchronized).  We also enabled the option of “Send confirmation email to channel reservations”.  Appreciate your advice what is missing for the OTA bookings.

Hallo zusammenIch öffne diesen thread neu, da der “before start” template-thread als gelöst klassiert ist.Da die Diskussion mit dem “before start” / “online check-in” template nicht weiterkommt, eine andere Lösungsrichtung: Wäre es nicht möglich und einfacher zum programmieren, wenn es einfach ein E-Mail Template gäbe, bei welchem das Hotel den Trigger frei wählen könnte? Dann kann man dies optional an- oder ausschalten und den Trigger wählen (ähnlich wie bei automatischen Zahlungen: z.B. conf.date +3days oder chk-indate -2days). Den Trigger könnte man auch gleich für alle templates customised machen. Die momentane Situation stellt sich ja genau dem Prinzip von individueller Gästekommunikation entgegen.Es ist wirklich sehr unangenehm, wenn man überhaupt keine Übersicht hat, ob Gäste nun eine Mail kriegen oder nicht (Self check-in Fall wurde ja bereits im anderen thread angesprochen). Gerade bei wiederkehrenden Gästen ist es umso peinlicher, wenn die jedesmal stranden und kein Zugangsco

Hallo zusammen,wir bereiten aktuell die gesetzlich vorgeschriebene Meldung unseres Kassensystems gemäß § 146a der Abgabenordnung (Meldepflicht bis 31.07.2025) vor. Folgende Informationen werden benötigt: Hersteller und genaue Bezeichnung des Kassensystems Seriennummer des Systems (sofern vorhanden) Zertifizierungsnummer der eingesetzten TSE beim BSI Art der TSE (z. B. Cloud) Seriennummer / 64-stelliger Hashwert der TSE Datum der Inbetriebnahme  Leider habe ich auf meine Anfrage an den MEWS Support bisher keine Rückmeldung erhalten. Daher meine Fragen an euch: Hat jemand von euch bereits eine Antwort vom MEWS Support erhalten? KIOSK: Balance Check only at CheckOut?

Hello!Is there a way to setup the Kiosk so that the “Balance Check” option is only enforced during CheckOut?At CheckIn we don’t want to force guests to provide a credit card or payment, but upon CheckOut it should be enforced… As I understood the help article if I enable “Balance Check” Option it will enforce payments at CheckIn, but that’s not what we want as we want to keep the self CheckIn - especially in the night - as smooth as possible.Kind regards,Jean-Philipp

And we would love to learn from you and gain your insights and feedback.  Firstly, what do we understand to be the meaning of Allowances?:The ability to assign a allowance (to be seen as credit) as part of a rate and/or add on which is then deducted, or treated as a payment.This is usually paired as an option within a larger package. Segments of this include resorts, city-centre hotels, hotels with heavy corporate business. As an offer within a corp rate agreement, there will be a (eg.) $20 spend available on the guest bill (or folio) that can be put towards room postings from the hotel restaurant.  Is this a functionality you are currently using either a work-around for, or are you interested in using this feature in the near future; and are you willing to be part of the discovery process for the functionality of allowances?Please comment on this post and we will ge

Send confirmation emails only for direct bookings

Hello everyone,I’m looking to configure Mews so that confirmation emails are only sent for direct bookings (Website) and not for OTA bookings via Booking.com. Out of the box, Mews sends a confirmation email for every new reservation, regardless of the channel. Right?Questions: Has anyone implemented a similar setup? Guten Morgen Ihr Lieben, ich habe jetzt zum X-ten Mal Darstellungsproleme der MEWS App auf dem Rechner.Was ich getan haben:alle Cookies gelöscht. anderen Browser ausprobiert. Rechner neu gestartet.So sieht das heut aus. Es werden keine Icons angezeigt: Problem bleibt. Hat noch jemand eine Idee? Oder hat das gleiche Problem. Booking.com integration Outages

I have the feeling there are many outages with the booking.com integration lately, but we only “know” it as soon as a guest calls to let us know they still have not received their key codes. Is there a way to get a warning if the integration has a failure so we can manually pull the reservations before we get a notification from the guests? To avoid overbookings it would be super important to realize an outage ASAP

Hi Community,We are a hotel chain with multiple properties using Mews, and I’m reaching out to other hotel groups that share guest profiles across properties to ask how you are handling the "Match and Merge" functionality -particularly for guests booking through OTAs like Booking.com, where we receive a system-generated email address tied to a specific reservation.When emailing this generated address externally, the message is delivered to the guest via their Booking.com account.What we've noticed - and have seen happen - is that if the same guest has active bookings at multiple properties, and their profiles are merged, the communication can sometimes end up linked to the wrong booking.Example:Guest John Doe has a reservation at Hotel A next week.He also has another reservation at Hotel B in a month.A staff member merges the two profiles and chooses to keep the email address associated with the Hotel B booking.Now, all communication related to John’s reservation at Hotel A (pre-arriva

External Payments

Hello Community!We don't use the Mews booking engine for our reservations - instead, we work with an external provider.As a result, we also have a different payment gateway (merchant) for handling advance payments made through our own website.This setup means that any advance payments need to be manually registered in Mews as external payments.This manual step has proven to be one of the biggest pain points for our hotels. Payments are often misallocated, or bookings end up being charged twice by mistake.Over time, things have improved - especially after we’ve run training sessions for our staff - but the issue tends to resurface whenever new team members come onboard.Has anyone else experienced similar challenges?
