We're exploring best practices for selling packages online, especially via channel manager like SiteMinder and the direct Booking.com integration. Our goal is to effectively offer B&B packages with the associated products. We want to ensure that both the rate and products are dispatched to the channel via the channel manager, and upon returning to Mews, the product is accurately applied.Here's a specific challenge: In Mews, if our room rate is $150 and an additional $12 per person for breakfast, everything aligns seamlessly within Mews and our booking engine.However, when it comes to channels, we haven’t managed to set it up. Hi Team,When splitting a reservation we used to be able to choose the time the reservation was split, now the time functionality has been removed.This is causing us a big problem for room moves after midnight on the final night of the stay, as it is no longer possible to split the reservation and perform a room move.Is anyone else experiencing issues with not being able to select the time a reservation is split? 

Good morning all, We’ve gotten this situation a few times, so I thought I’d ask. We operate a receptionist-less hotel, where we utilize the kiosk and a digital receptionist. Sometimes guests find it easier to just book again through the booking engine, but it’ll place guests in a different room. It would be much easier for our operations if they were placed in the same room by default.  Is there an option that I am missing, or anything in the development road map coming up? It’s a small thing for most people here but would help us out!

Hi everyone - how do we implement “BETTENSTEUER” (like city tax) which is new from 2024? I did find a button Bettensteuer in Mews but only under PRODUCTS which would mean, that we would have to manually add this to each reservation. Surely this cannot be right…. Dear Mews Community, My intern has a great question to share with you regarding digital registration cards:'Hi all! I would like to get started with digital registration cards using tablets. I would like to have guests fill in these registration card themselves at the front desk. Is it possible to link the registration cards on the tablet directly to Mews profiles so that employees don't have any extra work on this. Is this possible and if so how? Thanks in advance for your help!For our hotels we would like to start working with a digital form of registration cards. We do not want a full self check-in but we do want to digitalize this process. I was wondering if anyone else has had this issue with Mews and Booking.com. Or knows what can cause it? Our Inventory updating was turned off due to an unexplained error. This is bound to cause huge problems. This was the error message we were sent from Mews: <?xml version='1.0' standalone='yes'?> <availability> <fault code="401" string="Authorization Required" /> </availability>   All your inventory operations are disabled because of the error and no updates are being sent! It’s been about a month with little to no explanation from Mews or Booking.com.

Hi, we have a restriction enabling a 2 night min at weekends (ie always on restriction which is closed to stay Fridays & Saturdays, with an exception of 2 nights).Occassionally we have a gap - eg. a Friday night where the Thursday before and the Sat, Sun after is booked.How can we permit that booking to be made.  I have tried to remove the restriction to make the booking and put it back in, but it doesn’t work and seems very complicated.  Does anyone know if there an override function for employees with permissions?  I can’t see anything in knowlegde base.Thank you very muchGeorgina

Hey Community, We built an automation with zapier to automate the procedure with our Guest card. Currently we run into a challenge with bookers that have more than one reservation assigned to their name. I found a solution but therefor i would need the count of reservations of the booker.Do you know if that number is send through the API or is there any way to get that number into an ZAP? That would help me a lotAppreciate your answers Hendrik

Dear community,Our accounting department often experiences problems to match proforma numbers.When we notice a bank transfer coming in to our bank account mentioning a pro forma number a huge amount of time is spend in order to find to which reservation or event it is related to.As from the best of my knowledge it is not possible to look up pro forma bills in Mews we have to start an internal investigation of who sent the proforma and then match is with the correct bill.I’d love to know if someone has a best practice to share. 

Hi thereJust curious, if somebody has a better solution than house use rooms for complimentary guests, who don’t have to pay city taxes.We find it very annoying, that the house use rooms don’t exist on arrival/departure lists for reception staff (except the room status list). Since during winter season we do have a lot of house use rooms (for music bands) it would be very helpful, to have a better solution.Looking forward to any feedback or experiences on this issue.Kind regards

OK, probably not the first time this question has been asked.. but how do we get a BOOKER to add their credit card themselves for guarantee purposes in MEWS..  😯

Hi All,I am seeking guidance on the optimal configuration of accounting categories in Mews to accurately allocate revenue across various space categories. Specifically, our objective is to delineate revenue as follows:Guest Rooms: To be categorised under 'Room Revenue' Car Parks: To be designated as 'Car Park' revenue Meeting Rooms: To fall under the 'Meeting Rooms' Revenue Co-Working Spaces: To be classified as 'Co-Working Space' revenue Bikes: To be accounted for under 'Bike Revenue'Mews provides the flexibility to assign an accounting category to Space Categories, Rates, and Services.However, it is unclear which accounting category takes precedence when all are assigned.I initially assumed that assigning the appropriate accounting category to the respective space category would supersede any other configurations. However, we have noticed inconsistencies in the resulting revenue splits.
