Hi, I’m new and in training and setting up my rates. By default it seems anybody can make a booking in the far future. I can put closed restrictions in a certain time window but if I go farther than that in the future then I can book something say in year 3050 no problem. It is kind of weird to me to have such dates open in my system. Are these far-future availabilities pushed to the OTAs and channel managers? Is the only way to protect oneself from such bookings to put a ridiculously high price on the tarif? seems like a hack to me and a malicious user could still make a phony booking... Is there anyway tarifs can be closed for all dates above a certain date ?Thanks

Hello We have just Migrate from Amadeus-Hotel Concepts to Mews and we are experiencing a weird bug Indeed while scanning the id to complete the guest profile (or by completing it manually), it appears that all guests borned before 1961 are considered by Mews as being born in the year twothousands...It means that if you are born in 1960, it captures 2060 as the year of birth and therefore you cannot save your guest profile as there is an error message poping up We are in a dd/mm/yy configuration ans have not try another one as we want to stick to it (more common in Europe) Did somebody already enounter that issue and find a solution? If so, I would be glad if you could help. Hello everyone We just migrated from Amadeus Idpms to Mews One of the consequences is that some of the open receivables on our books in Amadeus were not yet balanced at the time of migration (because not paid yet).  Recently we have received a payment for an invoice issued in June 2023 I was wondering how to post the payment in Mews. Here is the idea I thought of:=> First: going on to the company profile - billing - open new bill=> Then: go on payment - external - choose invoice and post a negative value of the paid amount (put a note for reference like: “ bill june 2023 Amadeus”)=> Last: post the payment (wire transfer in this case) which would balance the bill  What do you think? The main question here of course is: how to process the remaining receivables from the previous PMS in Mews ?😉 Thanks in advance for your help and insights Regards

We created a package with 2 different half board.On the first night, I need to post products from our first restaurant (Evening Meal - food + beverages at RestoX). On the second night, I need to post another product from our other restaurant (Evening Meal - food & beverage at RestoY).In the product configuration, you do not have this kind of choice.The product is “Per Person”. But one is before the first night and the other one is before the second night. The only options are Reservation Start / Reservation End. Neither is correct.  => how to post the correct products with correct prices on the correct nights?

Hi there! Today the new kiosk app has been uploaded on our tablet and since then the camera icon for scanning ID´s does not show up on the screen! This makes it very difficult for us to check-in people properly. Anybody else that suffers from this problem? Thanks for your answer. Christina 

Does anyone know of software or somewhere in MEWS B.I. that can show you how many date searches queries were denied due to no-avail?Essentially, we would like to crunch some numbers to understand if we are in fact giving too much to OTA’s, and can actually reserve more rooms for ourselves for specific dates or periods.

Hi,We have create packages room + breakfast, in the setup we have choose bill as package. If guest stay more than one night it’s show in one line stay 10/10 - 19/10 and the total price. We need to show to guest the price of the package per night, is it possible? and if yes how to do it?Thank you.

Hi, we will be closed midweek throughout the winter.  The only way to show this on the calendar seems to be as a restriction or by adding house use for each room/date.  This is very onerous, but also means that clean rooms are automatically marked as dirty when it goes into that period of time.  Is there a way to easily set a repeated block on weekdays please?

Hello everyone.  I am looking at setting up a Black Friday deal which is open for selected arrival dates between Black Friday 2023 and the end of 2024.  This part is all fine however, I would like to limit the booking period from Black Friday to 31st December 2023.  I cannot see a way of doing this through the restrictions option.  Has anyone successfully set anything like this up before or is the only way to manually turn it off after the 31st December? Thanks in advance...

We are using the Saflok / Kaba / Dormakaba Ambiance system and the keycutter with MEWS and experiencing problems.  Does anyone know how to fix these specific error codes from MEWS when trying to cut keys but failing?Error code:  “"Get reservation data failed..." Error code:  “"Message does not contain "KA|"

Hi Team,When splitting a reservation we used to be able to choose the time the reservation was split, now the time functionality has been removed.This is causing us a big problem for room moves after midnight on the final night of the stay, as it is no longer possible to split the reservation and perform a room move.Is anyone else experiencing issues with not being able to select the time a reservation is split?
