We are soon upon our winter ski season when rooming list are very popular. Is there a way to add a rooming list into the availability block? 

Hello! Travel agents receive commissions based off our dynamic rates and group rates added into the block. We have built a TA contract for an agent and added the company to the group block, however, the commission does not report on the rooming list. When will TA commission show on reports? After check in, after creating the reservation, or after check out? 

Hello Community! Does anyone know of a way I can report the anticipated revenue from an added availability block? We need to report the value of the initial contract and currently need to manually calculate. Thank you.

I have questions regarding open items: for annual financial statements we need an open items list. It has to show all outstanding customer payments not yet having been paid, even if closed after this date.If the path ‘open bill’ - ‘payment’ - ‘external payment’ is chosen, there`s no way either to give in past payment dates. It follows that the accounting ledger report shows items as unpaid as long as ‘external payment’ is done, no matter what the real payment date was.

Hi Mewsers, This is a question for properties in Belgium or the Netherlands (or pretty much every country where payment rounding is a thing). With payment rounding I mean that all payments are rounded to the nearest  5 (ie. € 7,93 becomes € 7,95 and € 13,41 becomes € 13,40).As Mews does not support payment  rounding as a feature, we have created a product for this. This to ensure that all transactions are registered correctly for accounting. However, we are wondering how other properties are coping with this legal requirement.

Hello,We have a small property lodge in Queenstown and we would like to find a way to deal with our “Trust the chef - dinner for 2” product.Ideally we would like the following things:We want the client to initiate the booking We want the client to choose the date of their dinner We want the customer to give us some compulsory information such as the number of people attending, dietary requirement, etc… We want to be able to decline or accept the client’s booking We want to be able to weekly share those information with our chefWe unfortunately have not found an efficient way to deal with this in MEWS.We are happy to offer a free stay at our property in Queenstown for any viable solution or work around 😊Thank youWayne

Hello together, we are using Event Temple to organize our convention / event spaces, proposals and function sheets/banquet checks.In Event Temple we can also add over night stays to bookings which are posted to MEWS.If it is a fixed contingent all is fine. The amount of rooms, names, rates etc. are posted in MEWS and the rooms are blocked.BUT: if we offer allotments, we want the bookings in MEWS, but not blocking rooms (reducing the availability) as we do not know how many rooms will be picked up.As well we would like to see on one spot how many rooms are booked as allotments already to decide how many we can still offer. p.a.Allotment 100 rooms for 01.10.2023 - 03.10.2023wash step 1 - 30.06.2023 - reducing to 80 non-picked up rooms availablewash step 2 - 31.07.2023 - reducing to 50 non-picked up rooms availablewash step 3 - 31.08.2023 - reducing to 20 non-picked up

Dear community,I am reaching out for assistance with automating the status change of online check-in reservations to "Started" on the day of arrival once the room has been inspected.Currently, we use a diffenrent  online check-in system, and we have achieved a high percentage (60-70%) of guests who are able to check-in online and have their reservation status set to "Started," allowing them to access their digital room keys and enter their rooms seamlessly. This has greatly benefited our operations.However, we are interested in integrating the Mews online check-in system for branding and integration purposes. I am seeking input and suggestions if there is a possibility to set this up. I was thinking it might be possible with Zapier to automatically change the reservation status to "Started" once the room has been inspected, based on the link sent out on the day of arrival.Any insights or guidance on this matter would be greatly appreciated.Thank yo

HI All, our invoices for platform fee and marketplace integrations are now mailed to our finance department.However, is there any way to see old invoices in mews itself?I did find a report in the finance section, however that is only the total amount and not the fees broken down.thanks very much for your help

Hi allRight now, we are preparing to switch the housekeeping to the MEWS Commander. Until everybody is settled in well, we still have to work with printed lists, just to make sure 😉Since the “reservation report” is the one, we’re using right now (also for reception and restaurant because we need more information than on the “guest inhouse” list), we are unhappy, that the “inouse use” rooms are not on this list. They have to be put on manually and therefore they can be forgotten.What kind of list - if any - do you use for housekeeping?Would like to hear, how you work with it. Hi everybody,For our three properties in three different cities, we are currently using the Mews IBE as an overlay widget on our website in an multiple enterprise version. Bookers stay on our Domain. This enterprise version does have limited functions, though, that are available in the standalone version (e.g. suggestion of alternative travel dates, if low availability and more).Since there is no release date available, when those new functions are also available on the widget enterprise version, I want to switch to the standalone version (htts://app.mews.com/distributor...).I would like to avoid that a new window opens with the mews Domain and would rather like to have this on the same page with our URL or if not possible in another way with a subdomain like booking.bigmamahotels.com. Background is that a domain switch can lead to a trust issue as from the guest

Hi all,After advice please on the price override function on stay products. We are so happy we have this function now and are using the override to update prices rather than updating the base price, so that future reservations who already booked are not affected by the price change. Where we struggle is that on the products page there is no indication that a price has been overridden and the price override has an expiry date. Has anyone got a solution for keeping track of your price overrides on products? (other than manually tracking) and solution to be aware when the price override is expiring? Thanks, Sam

hi all,I've got a question and was hoping for some insights on how others deal with this; In some of our hotels we sell cans of beer, and PET bottles with soda at the front desk. These are sold and paid for using MEWS and thus the receptionists needs to charge both the can, as the ‘deposit charge’ (statiegeld) for each item separately. How do other hotels deal with this situation? We have suggested to just raise pricing and make a correction posting in our accounting software, but we have already been informed that law requires to actually show on invoice that there is a separate deposit charge.  Furthermore, I've been told that in a few months the EU legislation comes into effect that we also need to show on invoice to guest what part of the sale is perhaps some sort of ‘packaging’. Dear Mews Community,I hope you can help. Since the beginning of this year one of our hotels changed to MEWS and we are still trying to create our SOP’s. The hotel has many groups in house where room and breakfast is paid by the organiser. At this moment we realised that there is no routing setup that can be done to automatically forward all nights to a group bill / PM / or…I’m aware that for a company we can create a routing, but this will not help as sometimes the company pays, sometimes they don't.I’m wondering if somebody of you have any feedback or best practices that we implement?Thank you in advance.Best regard,Milou

Hallo zusammen,gibt es noch weitere Unterkünfte die mit den Schnittstellen von Omniboost Probleme haben?Wir haben Mews jetzt seit 15 Monaten und die Übertragung von unserem POS läuft  immer noch nicht richtig. Seitens Mews bekomme ich leider keine Unterstützung, sondern werde immer wieder an Omniboost verwiesen.Für mich keine akzeptable Dauerlösung, dass Mews dahingehend auch nicht an Omniboost herantritt und für den Kunden einsteht.@Joanna.Svehlova

Hi Community, we do face some challenges with the end of the day time at midnight, and I’d like to check in with you if you have some best practices which might work out. In theory, we have no issues with the fact of closing the day at midnight, however, at a certain point we face operational issues to reconcile revenues with the POS system and BOF (Back office finance exports) If we would only consider MEWS its less of a problem, but with Export files for Finance and POS integrations, this makes all more complicated.Cash drops are one example. The BOF exports capture all cash drops till midnight, if the outlets are closing late in the night, the cash drop which is reported in the export file does not reconcile with the physical cash drop, as this will be posted on the next day. The next day it balances out, but we do state a daily over/shortage on cash reporting, which Auditors do not accept. At the month's end, we also missed revenue posted after midnig
