Is there a recommended process for back-ups of Mews reservations in case of a Mews system outage? How do you know who has a reservation with you tonight?We scheduled a daily reservation report sent to an Email.Does anybody have a better solution for this?Thx Max

Hi Everyone, Just want to check something again ;)  If i create a new reservation, with a new guestprofile, and want to add details like adress or preferences during the reservation, i cant return to the reservationsscreen. I miss the  ← arrow at the left upper site or the option to close this screen. Do i miss something?    

When I recieve a cancellation, I would like to keep the amount but resell the room the same night to optimize my revenue. Today if I cancel the reservation, the revenue will be retrieved from the revenue stated in reports etc… How do you deal with this?

Hi there, is there a way to change the arrival or departure time automatically as soon as the early check in or late check out is added to a reservation?

Hi,It seems when someone using the Mews booking engine and chooses the option “I´m Booking for Someone Else”, Mews automatically invoices the “Booker” instead of the “Guest”.We do not want to invoice Bookers, but rather the Guest, regardless of who makes the booking as the Guest will be responsible for the payment. Besides manually moving the charges, is there any way to automate this?Alternatively, can we simply remove the “I’m booking for someone else” field from the booking engine?

Hi All, Just want to check somehting: Last few days MEWS is closing my windows  automaticly when i click a tekstfield to for exeampla change the emailadres or phonenumber. Got it on multipule devices.  My first thougt was i needed a new mouse and keybord, but even on my laptop it does this. Anyonbe more experice this problem? 

Hi CommunityDie Neuerung mit dem “Zurück-Pfeil” statt der vielen geöffneten Tabs ist ja an und für sich eine gute Sache.Wenn man nun aber in der Zeitachse ist, dort ein gewünschtes Datum eingibt, eine Reservierung bearbeitet und dann auf “zurück” klickt um zu prüfen, in welches Zimmer man diese legen will, landet man immer wieder am heutigen Datum. Beim Tagesgeschäft mit vielen zukünftigen Buchungen ist das doch ganz schön nervig.Was denkt ihr dazu?

Hallo Zusammen, wir stehen aktuell vor der Herausforderung eine Art “Stammdaten Historie” für das Steuerbüro zu finden.Durch die MwSt- Änderungen im F&B ( 2022 und 2023 7% Food/ ab 2024 wieder 19%) haben wir ja die jeweilige Buchhaltungskategorie in Mews ändern müssen (Datev!) Nun möchten wir für 2022 und 2023 Umsatzberichte ziehen und prüfen, welche Buchhaltungskategorie hinterlegt ist, da stehen aber die aktuellste Konten drin. BSP: in 2023 war Food 7% auf 430022in 2024 ist Food 19% auf 440022Ziehe ich mir einen Buchhaltungsbericht für 2023 stehen die Konten von 2024 drin.Wir haben also für eine eventuelle Betriebsprüfung keinen tatsächlichen Nachweis, dass in 2023 alle Umsätze auch mit den richtigen Steuern auf die korrekten Konten gebucht wurde.Unser STB fordert das jetzt aber an - und nun brauche ich Eure Hilfe bitte. Mich verwundert es sehr, dass es hier offensichtlich niemanden gibt, den die monatliche Zeitachse irritiert. Es gibt eine Ansicht nach Stunden, eine für eine Woche und eine für ein Jahr. Was fehlt ist die Monatsansicht für ca 30 Tage, diese ist bei MEWS fälschlicherweise eine Jahresansicht. Ich möchte doch gerne sehen können, was die nächsten Wochen auf uns zukommt und wir wir dran schrauben müssen. Bitte, es kann doch doch nicht schwierig sein diese Monatsansicht zu ermöglichen. Oder bin ich blind und liege falsch?

We are getting a lot of questions from confused guests because the final "summary" message of the Mews booking engine shows them the total price in big bold numbers and it says the amount that will be paid in small gray letters below. People simply do not read that and they think they have to pay the full price at the time of reservation.Can we please make the text "You'll pay €XXX Amount when you finish your reservation" in bigger letters to explain they only pay this quantity and not the whole price at the time of reservation? 

Hallo zusammen, ein Gast hat ausgecheckt und nach dem Schließen der Rechnung festgestellt, dass etwas im Firmennamen fehlt (Zeppelin GmbH/ Zeppelin Rental GmbH). Wir haben die Firma in der Kartei angepasst, aber nach erneutem Ausstellen der Rechnung (Rechnungsdetails ändern) steht dort nach wie vor der falsche Firmennamen als Rechnungsempfänger drin. Wie können wir das Problem lösen/ was machen wir falsch?

Hallo zusammen,wir nutzen seit Montag BIZZON für unser Restaurant. Allerdings stellte sich uns gestern die Frage wie das mit dem Trinkgeld funktioniert, welches per Karte gezahlt wird. Bei unserer vorherigen Kasse war es immer so, dass das Trinkgeld der Karten vom Barumsatz direkt abgezogen wurde und wir den Betrag somit direkt an die Mitarbeiter abgeben konnten. Bei BIZZON scheint das Trinkgeld aber so nicht auf, also im Barumsatz sondern separat. Mich würde nun interessieren wie ihr das handhabt, damit dieses Kartentrinkgeld auch ausgezahlt werden kann. Danke euch! Viele Grüße,Paul

Hi Everyone, I have a general question about guests who book prepaid reservations through online travel agencies . Do you ask them for a credit card when they check in to cover any extra expenses? How do you best handle this? thank you Manpreet 

When customizing the templates - I do only see the default template in my own language - I can not choose the default translations of the same template - that would make it much easier to customize the other languages too. My workaround is in the moment to filter the already sent mails to my guests and I get the defaults from the other languages from there - but find it strange that it is not possible to access these translations from the customizing menu.Best regards,Karo

Good morning, Referring to the message of Google discontinuing its Google Hotel Search integration with Mews, should we disable it in the Market Place?(I think mainly of Inventory Update errors once the integration goes down)Whilst the measure would come into effect on July 1st, I see it’s still a functioning integration at this time.I won’t complain :-)

Hallo alle zusammen! Wir haben in unserem Hotel gerade auf Mews umgestellt. Wir sind sehr zufrieden, aber es gibt noch einige Unklarheiten mit unseren Meldezetteln. Laut der TVB hier in Achenkirch muss die Meldezettelnummer auf dem unterschriebenen Meldezettel angegeben sein, und wir müssen diese Meldezettel 7 Jahre lang aufbewahren. Wie gehen andere Hotels in Österreich damit um? Denn diese Meldezettelnummer aus Feratel wird nicht in Mews übertragen. Die Lösung, die der TVB derzeit vorschlägt, ist, alle Meldezettel aus Mews auszudrucken und die Nummer von Hand darauf zu schreiben, aber wir möchten gerade weg vom Drucken und manuellen Schritten. Hat ein anderer österreichischer Mews-Nutzer damit Erfahrung?Vielen lieben Dank!Liebe Grüße, Judith    4o
