Hey community,  We are trying to better track conversion on our website. We are currently use Google analytics GA 4 and i did the setup with this doc: https://mews-systems.gitbook.io/booking-engine-guide/booking-engine-widget/integrations/google-tag-manager but it does not really work.  Did anyone connect Tag with Mews booking engine and GA4 succesfully? Would super nice to understand what i need to do differently.  Best Hendrik

Suddenly we woke up today to find something really weird with our Mews account. This is what happened: for every customer that we have whether they have checked out before and paid their bills or they are currently checked in and have already paid their reservation, in their profile page, and in their Billing section, all the billing Items names are changed to “Invoice refund” for no reason whatsoever with a negative amount.How is that change possible? Who can change the invoice names and stateWhy would Mews change the name of all these invoices?

Hallo everyone! We are a new property and new with Mews. We are facing some difficulties adding the breakfast in the OTAs and creating the rates with a product including depending on the occupancy. The price of the product/breakfast does not reflect to Booking.com as an example. Hey,We operate capsule hotels, and our operations are mostly automated to allow the host more space to be there for the guest.The biggest issue we are facing at the moment is with online check-in. We use a solution from Goki that actually starts the reservation after completing the online check-in. However, as this solution is not as well-integrated as the one from Mews, we are experiencing difficulties in obtaining data from companions and also with early check-ins.Is the feature planned that the online check-in also starts the reservation on the day of arrival when the room is inspected?This would provide great value for all properties that use pin codes for doors, as the trigger to generate a personal pin code is the status change of the reservation from confirmed to started.Question: Is this planned, or is there a way to make this work? Best regardsHendrik

Hello everyone, I'm having issues with Mews and my connections to my Channel Managers, specifically Hotel Spider and Synxis.When we derive rates from Mews, starting from a base rate like Flexi and moving to a promotional rate where we apply a percentage discount of -10, -5, etc., Mews cannot round, which creates rates with decimals such as 0.1, 0.2, 0.3... which don't exist in Swiss currency, where rounding typically occurs in increments of 5. When we send these rates to the channels, they can round them. However, if we apply a rate where the client's card must be charged by Mews, when it comes back to Mews, the system doesn't charge the rate the client reserved but instead incorrect rates. This sometimes leads us to having to refund the client for a few cents. Does anyone have any ideas on how to work around this issue?

Today 25/03 , B21-07, checked in 23/03, accounting already 3 nights. Should be 2 nights on 25/03, i would understand if it would account days, then is more clear, check in 23/03 is 1 day, 24/03 – 2 day, and 25/03 – is 3 day.We are cleaning stayover rooms after 3 days. But if person arrived on 23/03, and today we have 25/03, and in the system showing 3 nights, when actually is 2 day,  the housekeeping company cleaning room when in shows in Mews 3/3,  but suppose to be 2/3. Thats a lot money for us. Thats why its important that would be correct. 

Hello im new here and only just gone on mews. We have set up automated payments which is working well except where card is declined. Is there a way to automate sending a payment link with predetermined text as I. have 2 card declined already today and 1 yesterday. Also is there a rule to stop mews sending payment link for airbnb and agoda bookings. Can I automate agoda virtual cards after they stay

Hello all mews users! We are based in Greece, and have Mews as PMS, Chanel manager SiteMinder and Mews booking engine, a and their payment terminal and functionalities. So far so good, until a new regulations came live: The Greek government wants us to be directly and lively connected to MyData which is a governmental plateforme.  To make it short, when you checkout and proceed with payment, all this needs to be send to the plate form. So far some people says that mew will be able in a while, other says that mews will not be able to connect, other says that with an invoicers application and not site minder as Chanel manager things can be done. We are a small property and for a start we can do this manually until we have concrete answer weather Mews will find a way or not.  Dear Greek properties can you please send us some insights ? Best

Hotelkit , Flexkeeper and optii are just too expensive . Maitre has come back at an affordable price just looking for something to compare it with.  James

Hello everyone, how do you split amounts with Mews? For instance, when you receive a payment and need to allocate it to different bills. Also, how do you handle check-out if you have multiple guests in the same room who want to split the bill among themselves? Personally, I find it a bit cumbersome to have to use a calculator and recreate invoices via Excel after the guests have checked out.

Hi All, As I’m looking into the booking engine configuration, I noticed the price comparison with competitors. Enabling it will be shown on the booking engine but the content is not sufficiently updatable where we might want to show different rates from different competitors. Even some of the text display content are not editable such as “Book online, get more” which I might want to update/change.For example if I put 3 competitors I can’t seem to put a price for each competitors, since the configuration field “Competitor price relative adjustment” is applied to all displayed competitors.Does it seem to you that this feature, although very useful and informative, can use more advanced configuration and tweaking to cater for a more personalized experience and data display for each Hotel Owner?

Hi Mews community,Advice please, How are you monitoring reservations where guests are potentially already blacklisted? It is possible that a guest makes another reservation with a different OTA which sends a generic email address. What work around have you found to identify these potential profiles that need to be merged? We also work with kiosks so checking on arrival is not possible. Thanks for any options, 

Hello everyone, I am curious about your thoughts and solutions:To those of you who allow guest to choose their own specific room at an extra charge.How do you manage this practically and system wise. To my knowledge this is not a feature in mews (yet). How does your Revenue Manager feel about having a space “blocked” for X nights when a different room could have resultet in an additional room being sold? To those who have chosen not to: how come?what were your thoughts and processes?looking forward to hearing from all of you :)

Hello everybody This thread is not quite a new one but more of an addition to an already existing topic (see below)Indeed, on the feedback forum, I came accross an additionnal trick explained in order to have a PO number appearing on the invoice as it is possible for the reservation linked to a travel agent but for company reservation related. I’ve been using it since October 2023 and it work pretty fine You can just create a dedicated “fake” travel agency profile called for example **PO Company** (you can of course use an already existing “real one” . You will understand why further below) When you encode a company reservation you just then have to also put up the travel agency to obtain the “Travel agency confirmation number” case (see below)

Hi all, I’ve got a problem with automatic mails sent by Mews for Expedia customers.They are all blocked by Expedia with this reason :The file you attached to your message on Wed, 7 Feb 2024 13:17:12 GMT has the same name as a file that was already uploaded. To send your message, first change the name of the attachment then try sending it again. After investigations, it seems that the file in question is the qrcode attached, named qrcode.png Expedia recommends that we use a unique file name per email, like qrcode_uniqueUuid.png to pass the test. Here is their message :Remove the attachment / put the QR code in the body of the email if possible. Add some unique identifier in the file name so it passes this validation

We have 4 Massage Rooms in our Spa. We are thinking of adding them as a bookable/ hourly service in mews. Is anyone doing that already and can help with experiences? The main Problems we see yet are thatwe can only book full hours in the reservaition interface we have added 1 rate for each masseur, but we cannot restrict the rates with availabilities, so 1 masseur could get booked multiple times

I would like to create a rate or a public voucher, that does not include automatic emails from MEWS to the guest after confirmation. Is this possible?
