Discuss Mews Products

Good afternoon everyone!New day, new question (sorry 😄). I was wondering if there is a quick way to change the options of products I have created in Mews. For example, an extra bed that is currently charged as “per person per night” – I want to change this to “per night.” However, Mews gives me an error saying that this cannot be changed once the product has been created.Is it really not possible, or is there maybe an alternative solution?Thanks for your replies!Warm regardsPierrick Hotel Pavillon Du ZouteKnokke-Heist (Belgium)

Good afternoon everyone,Since our Mews launch, we have a direct connection with Booking.com to edit prices and availability. Before Mews, we worked with Cubilis as our channel manager. A few months ago, we decided to remove some of the roomtypes from the rooms offered on Booking.com.Today, I want to reverse this, but when I check the calendar view on Booking.com, I noticed that the price is missing (see screenshot underneath). How can I fix this in Mews so that the rooms can be sold again?  

Dear Community 👋🏼Has anyone have the same issue like I currently facing?.We have recently added Stripe as new payment provider and integrated the mews S1 terminal as the payment device, which is starting next month we will completly using stipe to replace the Adyen.Taking payment directly from the terminal with card or contactless is no issue, as well online pament when we have enterd the credit card details in mews manually.However, the credit card which captured in mews from the terminal payment, can not be re-preauthorize nor re-charge. Anyone aware what the issue here?.So far what I understood correctly, that the payment using S1 Teriminal will captured and tokanized the card details, which we can reuse it.I have wrote mews to change the Stripe as our default payment, however

Liebe Community,seit fast einem Jahr arbeiten wir nun sowohl mit MEWS, als auch dem RMS Duetto. Gibt es hier jemanden, der die gleiche Problematik in Bezug auf Zu- und Abschläge von Zimmerkategorien teilt? Weder MEWS, noch Duetto unterstützt Personenzu- oder Abschläge, z.B. ein DZ/EZ, Triple oder Vierbett. Hier musste ich ein Add On auf der Homepage erstellen. We want to configure the printing options of our Mews Terminal, so it only prints the customers receipt. A couple of weeks ago our management decided it was not necesary printing the merchant’s receipt anymorte and we always get up having a copy at the end. Is there a way we can customize that? thanks in advance.

Hi, we are adding all are notes manually and we want to automate this process. It would be great if we could add notes to a rate code so we are sure all neccessary information for this guest (corporate, special perks, colleagues) is automatically added. This way Front Office knows what guests are coming and what information they need to know up front. Can this become a feature?

Hi Community,Has anyone figured a way to hide the service charge box when adding an additional service product?We have the setting that ‘order requires a product’ however we are continuously needing to remind the team to ignore this first box and only use products. In our properties we never want to use this service charge box and hoping someone out here has found a way to hide this. Thanks!

Hi,Which report and where I could see last month booking engine booked RN and revenue (pref. net)?

I am curious about why it is not possible for guests to purchase upsells after they have checked in? I know they can do it as part of the checkin process in guest portal, but why can’t they do it after?For example, a guest forgot to add parking, then they later open guest portal again, they can read about the reservation that they already know about, but they cannot do anything with it, changes, adding products etc.So the result is that they need to contact the hotel via a message.I just wonder why this is? Is it designed that way on purpose?

Hello all!  We’re on our 3rd week with Mews, still trying to figure some stuff out 😄 If anyone knows, how do I modify a room rate on a reservation that is due to check out?  Any help will be greatly appreciated! 

Is it just me or does it take ages whenever you create a new company profile and want to add a routing rule until the company profile is found? Moin zusammen,  wir versuchen derzeitig unser Secret Escapes handling zu optimieren und stoßen da an einige limitierungen seitens Mews. Mich würde interessieren, wie ihr im moment Secret Escpaes handhabt, da ja die Gäste einen Anspruch auf die Rechnung haben.  Unsere Idee ist es, auf der Gastrechnung lediglich die folgenden Produkte stehen zu lassen: Übernachtung Frühstück City TaxAlle anderen Produkte sollen an sich weitere geroutet werden auf ein PM (was nicht geht). We have already discussed this issue with our contact person at MEWS, and apparently the reports we want to / can pull are a bit limited. So I am happy to share our feedback here and open an conversation, in order to see if someone of you have had the same “issue”.  We would need the following data (based on reports) to work in the following topics: - Revenue Conversion --> General and individually (per person)- Lead Conversion --> General and individually (per person)- Lead per hour --> General and individually (per person)- Group Booking Pace --> Group Forecast- No TDN (Turndown) analysis possible --> We can only create the Cancellation Report. At this stage, this is not possible to get this extraction from MEWS. Hey Everyone,I’m experiencing an issue with the Mews application when assigning spaces. When I try to assign rooms, I’m unable to add a space and press Enter. When I press Enter, it deletes the recently added space and overwrites the previous space.To add multiple spaces, I now have to use the mouse and select them manually. Previously, I could add a space, press Enter, and then add the next space with another Enter. This functionality no longer works.Can you please help me restore this feature?Thank you!

Hello,I keep running into missing space feature classifications to finally make full use of the “Preferred space feature” assignment strategy and the “Optimize space allocation” function Mews. I went through 25 hotels and checked for space features that most hotels seem to have/would be able to make use of.Please use this thread to let me know if I am missing anything important. One of my client properties that uses Mews, also utilises Zenchef as the booking software for their F&B services.The client would like to know if the Mews / Zenchef integration also allows for payment / credit card guarantees of reservations, using the Stipe account associated with the Mews subscription. From what I can read in the integration documentation, this is not the case, but if a community member has a solution, I would be extremely grateful for advice.

Rate handling is one of the fundamental systems in MEWS and a logic that runs through many systems. In my opinion, MEWS implements this quite well with variable pricing, rate restrictions and products including product rules. The technical support of rates in third-party systems is also quite good, as it is a widely used logic.Since we have been with MEWS for a few months now and have completed the first turn of the year, I have a few points to mention on this topic: The way in which MEWS regulates special occupancy (single person and additional people) in rates is not particularly flexible (why are only absolute value adjustments possible and not relative ones). I therefore assume that many people use rates or products for these scenarios to be more flexible.It would be extremely helpful if you could create rate restrictions and product rules based on the number of people in a room.   Yielding is a
