Our developer has requested access to our Mews account in order to figure out how to set up the code to embed and activate the Booking Engine. I am looked at individual user permissions and what access rights to give him, but can’t really figure out which would be relevant and necessary for him? We don’t wasn’t to provide more access than necessary.  Thank you for all help!

Bonjour, j’ai vu que pour imprimer les factures au moment du check out  nous avons 3 types de choix/options possiblethe default Detailed overview, and additionally Overview by date, Overview by reservation,par contre aucune de ces options ne permet de masquer le détail des consommations au bar que le client aurait pu avoir. Par exemple une note pour notre restaurant :RESTAURANT (point de vente):cocktail champagne 18€ Menu du marché 35€ 2 verres de vin 24€Comment faire pour regrouper en 1 ligne les consommations de notre point de vente restaurant avec un global de 77€? je sais que la TVA sera ventilée à 20% pour les alcools mais les clients demandent souvent 1 seul ligne globale.Merci pour votre aide.   

Ist es möglich, bereits ausgestellte Debitor Rechnungen komplett zu stornieren? Es handelt sich um uneinbringliche Forderungen (Firmen sind insolvent), eine Zahlung wird nicht mehr stattfinden. Buchhalterisch sind die Forderungen aus dem Umsatz genommen, aber wie korrigiert/storniert man die weiter existierenden Debitor Rechnungen dazu? Besten Dank!

Hello everyone,we've noticed that when creating a reservation, on the “Details” page, the confirmation mode defaults to “Do not send”. By changing the reservation status (to Requested or Optional) or even back to Confirmed, the confirmation mode automatically changes from “Do not send” to “Send”. This can be a source of error if the person making the reservation doesn't notice it. I think it would be preferable for the confirmation mode to default to “Do not send”, and for the person making the reservation to change it manually if necessary. what do you think? 

Hello everyone,we have encountered a small problem with customers who received booking confirmations and quotes (with rates) when they were travel agency bookings. customers were able to confirm and cancel these bookings directly from Mews Guest Portal. While it is clearly stated in the configuration of e-mail sending parameters, in the first remark: “Mews does not send e-mails to the recipient's address if it is not that of the company or travel agency associated with the booking.”but it seems that this rule is not applied. can you explain?

Hi I tried searching for similar questions, but couldn’t find anything. The team here got curious about how we can check for past guests in specific rooms. We were wondering e.g. who was in room 202 yesterday, in the case that their reservation was moved to another room or cancelled. I suppose that is shown on the guest’s action log, but the rooms don’t seem to have a similar action log where that is accessible. There is a ‘Recent space changes’ option, but that doesn’t show past guests. In our case, we don’t know who was the guest that was in 202 - that’s what we’re trying to find out. Any suggestions? How to Configure Additional Person Charges Based on Room Category.We have room categories where the cost for an additional person is not the same depending on the category (e.g., Suite, Classic).

Hey all!We want to make a 3 days/2 nights packagedeal for our guest. Including a diner on the first day and the option for a diner on the second day.Question:How do i set things up so guest get the offer to book the second diner during the online check-in and things are correctly on the productlist? Its just a temporarly thing, so a workaround with a plug-in, isnt a option. Setting things up like a late check out gives the product on the list for the 2nd day and the day of depature.  Any good tips? Thanks in advance!

We manage two adjacent MEWS properties (though technically with different addresses) and would like to adjust the following elements:                1.            Remove the Address: Is it possible to hide the address field entirely from the                                booking engine?                2.            Change Property Names in Booking Engine Only:                •             Wilmina Hotel → renamed to Hotel                •             Carlotta Apartments → renamed to ApartmentsWe’d like these name changes to apply exclusively to the booking engine without affecting other parts of the system. Alternatively, would it be feasible to overwrite specific elements of the booking engine using custom JSON code? We would greatly appreciate any guidanc

Hi all.I hope you're doing well.I have a question that I hope you can assist me with.Currently, all of our rates across all properties include breakfast. However, the issue is that the breakfast product does not appear on the bills/invoices. While the breakfast is included at no additional cost (listed as 0 DKK), it does have a value of 119 DKK (incl. tax) if purchased separately—such as when a guest invites a non-staying person to join them for breakfast.Our corporate clients have been reaching out to request that the breakfast product, along with its value and tax breakdown, is visible on their invoices for accounting purposes.Is there a way to display the breakfast item on the invoices, showing its value of 119 DKK (incl. tax), without impacting the total price of the stay?I hope this makes sense, and I look forward to hearing your suggestions.Regards

When we started with Mews we uploaded the import file with the already existing company profiles from our old PMS, and it contained a whole bunch of double data so I’m trying to merge the company profiles. Unfortunately I often have the case that one profile has the address, the other doesn’t, and when I want to merge both profiles I don’t see the address information, so I am never really sure which one to keep and which one not, but merging them does not mean the address will be updated and it happens that when I pick the wrong one, the address is just gone. Does anyone have any tips to handle this as uncomplicated as possible? :) 

Good afternoon,I am currently seeking clarification on how to display the invoice due date on an invoice. I have not been able to locate a relevant article in the Mews Help documentation.From my understanding, there are two settings that determine the due date:The financial settings, which I believe serve as a general default for the property. The company profile, which follows the terms specified in the contract.If no due date is specified within the company profile, I assume the system defaults to the property's general setting. Additionally, I presume that the due date is calculated based on the invoice issue date.I would appreciate any further guidance you can provide.Thank you in advance for your assistance.

Currently MEWS charges cancellation fees on the day of cancellation when automatically applied - is there any way to have this set so it charges on the intended day of arrival instead to keep revenue in the relevant day?

Ich habe gerade versucht, im Gruppenreiter eine Zimmerliste mit den Teilnehmern und den E-Mail-Adressen hochzuladen. In der Liste war nun ein Teilnehmer, der bereits einmal zu Gast war und für den bereits ein Konto existiert - das wusste aber vorab niemand, so dass wir den bereits existierenden Gast nicht vor herunterladen der Blanko-Liste die wir an den Bucher geschickt haben noch nicht vorher eingetragen hatten, also war er auf der Blanko-liste auch noch nicht mit seinem bereits existierenden Konto.  Jetzt habe ich von Mews die Fehlermeldung erhalten, dass bereits ein Konto mit der E-Mail-Adresse existiert und musste bei 30 Teilnehmern erst einmal heraussuchen, wer denn bereits im System vorhanden ist.  Hat jemand einen praktikablen Trick, wie man so etwas umgeht? Ich weiß, wäre der Gast bereits eingetragen gewesen, hätte Mews bei der Liste auch diekt die Kundenkennung eingetragen, aber wenn wir den Firmen die Liste blanko schicken und sie vorab noch ni

Greetings to all, We have situation in which a parking as bookable service has been added to guests bill and now it needs to be canceled or better yet to be removed. However since guest has checked out, nothing can be done with it. There is no option to -remove and item- , so how to make this outstanding bill to 0 and to close it? Thank you for all your tips and advices. BestBojana

Good morning ya’all!I was wondering if it's possible to change room prices for past dates? Sometimes we have larger groups with negotiated rates, but when some guests (within this group) decide to extend their stay by one more day, Mews applies the rack rate instead of the agreed ‘group rate’.If I don’t notice this right away, I can no longer make adjustments for past dates (only for the current day). Hallo Zusammen,auf den Rechnungen wird bei uns, sobald ein Gast Übernachtung und Frühstück gebucht hat, wird die Übernachtung in der Rechnung immer als ‘Unterkunft Paket’ bezeichnet.Manche Firmen möchten dies nur rein als Übernachtung oder Logis ausgewiesen haben ohne das Wort ‘Paket’. In solchen Fallen stornieren wir alles und buchen es manuell im Abrechnungsfenster nochmal auf dann wird es nicht als Unterkunftspaket angezeigt.Das ist natürlich bei größeren Rechnungen sehr aufwendig. Hat jemand zufällig eine andere Lösung? LGNina

I know Mews can run on Mac in the cloud, but can it use Mews connector app to connect with printers and key cutters? This is what I find (Looks like you have to run windows) our hotel was going to be switching to Mac.  Install the Mews Connector app onto the same computer as your local devices, for example, key cutters or printers. This computer needs to:be a Windows PC, with Windows Vista or later version, operate 24/7 and never shut down, run on .NET framework 4.8.

Ähnlich, wie es bei den Zahlungen läuft, dass man z.B. x% bei Buchung, y % bis … Tage vor Anreise und dann z% bis … Tage vor Anreise.Gedacht habe ich mir, dass als Stornokosten z.B. 20 % bis 60 Tage vor Anreise, 40 % bis 30 Tage vor Anreise, 60 % bis 7 Tage vor Anreise und danach 80 % anfallen. Nur so als Beispiel.Wie kann ich das umsetzen? Ich kann nur eine Stornobedingung anlegen und der Rate zuweisen. Damit ist die Staffelung nicht möglich.Wie regelt ihr das und gibt es “Workarounds”?Vielen Dank und viele GrüßeHeike

Traditionally, rates are considered commissionable / non-commissionable. It looks like Mews considers whether a travel agent is commissionable?I don’t understand how to manage this. I found the setting to enable the channel manager to create company profile/travel agent contracts. However in practice, I don’t understand what to do with this. I’m finding this incredibly confusing and complicated. How can I ensure commission is being calculated for commissionable rates, and that they are being paid on time?
