Hello Greek properties!We are about to open a property in Athens, and local laws requires us to submit all issued invoices to the local tax authorities in real time. Mews doesnt offer any intergration themselves for this so I am looking here if there is any advise how to best work with this?  

Hey Community,  I wonder how you handle automatic check-ins with group bookings in your property?  As a property that only has single beds, all bookings are prepaid and the whole customer journey is digital we have the problem that only the booker is in the system and gets all the messaging.  Is it possible to have an automated process for groups where a form is send out and the group can put Names and email addresses in there and after submitting the individual bookings in Mews are changed?  Would be nice to get some best practice here. Cheers Hendrik

Hello,since this afternoon profiles are suddenly displayed with the name of the companion although we have not changed anything. Or vice versa, where profiles of the companion suddenly have the name of the main booker. We have several identical profiles with the same name that are not actually profiles. Does anyone else have this problem?Is this maybe because of the new funktion with matching simmilar profils? Kind regards Anna

Hello  I am trying to find the easiest way to calculate percentages of sales by platform since we just star working with Mews last month.  I see the easiest way it would be to enhance it, would be connecting the booking engine with the channel manager (siteminder in my case), would you recommed it to me? And what is the advantages and disadvantages to have it separately?? thanks in advance   

Good afternoon everyone,I just noticed that the new MEWS features (Ledger Beta, new timeline, etc.) are only activated in our demo environment and not in the live version. Is there a way for us to enable these features ourselves, or do I need to submit another support ticket? Hi everyone,I need help setting up specific payment policies for a rate group. Specifically, I want to prevent the automatic charging of city tax before check-in. Instead, only the nights and other products should be charged at that time.I noticed that this can be configured in "Additional Expenses." However, I am unsure how to define city tax as "additionnal expenses" or “products” within this setup. Currently, in our configuration, city tax is treated as a product rather than using the standard bookable service configuration.Could you clarify how city tax is categorized (product vs. additional expense) and guide me on how to achieve this setup?Thank you for your support.Best regards,Châu.  

I am searching for a solution which will enable me to save all invoices and bills, as individual pdf files for a specific period - ex. Hallo!Die Buchungsbestätigung aus Mews geht ja auch an Gäste raus, die über Expedia gebucht haben. Wenn der Gast über Expedia Collect bezahlt dürfen wir keine Rechnung aushändigen und wir dürfen an sich auch nicht den Preis nennen, den wir bekommen. Der ist ja schon bereinigt um die Kommission. Wenn aber aus Mews die Buchungsbestätigung verschickt wird ist sowohl die Rate als auch der Preis genannt.Wenn ich den Preis aus der Buchungsbestätigung entferne, bekommt ihn aber auch kein anderer Gast zu sehen.Besteht die Möglichkeit, eine eigene Buchungsbestätigung an Expedia-Gäste zu verschicken? Oder kann man einen Filter anlegen, dass wenn die E-Mail-Adresse des Gastes @m.expediapartnercentral.com lautet, diese keine Bestätigung bekommen?Wie handhabt ihr das?Vielen Dank für eure Hilfe.Heike

Hi All,What is your experience with the new ‘Enhanced’ rate management overview?In my opinion it’s a big mess now, missing structure to have clear overview of your rates, base rates, rate groups, …..Search & filter options are nice but they are not stored, so every time you click on a rate and return to the overview they are gone again…Same for sorting options...I have the idea it’s released without it was even finished!Happy to read other hoteliers experiences on this.Best,Dirkhttps://releases.mews.com/en/enhanced-rates-and-vouchers-tables-in-mews-operations

Hi Mews community! Thrilled to be part of the community and looking forward to contribute forward in any way I can. We recently launched our website with the booking engine and all works fine. The question I have is whether I can move the booking options to be shown directly on my hotel’s landing page? Rather than having to click to open a separate booking engine page» it would be more instantous and easier for our website visitors if they can do their date selection directly on the landing page. i have seen Siteminder offering something like this and we’re hoping Mews do to I just haven’t found optionallty for this in the configurations yet. Thank you for all your input and guidance in this matter! 

Hello everyone,At our hotel, we require more than 60% confirmations that include either adding cost centers or removing the room rate. However, we’ve noticed that Mews does not currently allow these changes to be made directly within the confirmation emails.We’re wondering if there’s any way to fix this limitation within Mews? Alternatively, are there any external tools or integrations available that can provide adjustable confirmation emails?Any insights or suggestions would be greatly appreciated!Thank you in advance.

For those hotels that are utilizing Mews Kiosk and have a dedicated physical Kiosk to place the iPad and the key cutter, what physical kiosk are you using? Custom built? Generic Ipad Stand? How does the key cutter and Mews Terminal integrate.   

Hello everyone, I am having difficulty closing a customer invoice. the customer left without paying a small consumption. His registered card could not be charged, so we sent a payment link. The customer tried to pay 3 times with Apple Pay, and the last time with a credit card it was OK. But as a result the first 3 payments are pending and blocking me from closing my invoice even if it is zero because it says "being verified". If I want to close it as is, it gives me a negative invoice, but the customer owes me nothing since the last payment has been made. How to remove verification?

Hi Everyone, Could someone please clarify the correct procedure for credit notes?I'm unsure why I need to create a bill counter in order to issue a credit note for an invoice.Is this step necessary, or can I simply reissue the invoice if a credit note is required?Thank you for your help! :)

Hello Community,I am reaching out regarding two issues with my booking confirmation email for a hotel, created through Beefree and integrated into Mews. Button Display: When I insert a button with the {signInLink} placeholder, the button appears in blue by default on Mews, despite the background colour I set in Beefree. I would like to know how to force the button’s colour in the HTML code so that it displays correctly. Header Logo: A default logo appears in the header on all emails in Mews. Dear all,We are currently in Peak Season, and the hotel is fully booked on certain dates. However, we have noticed an issue where, despite some room categories being overbooked, the hotel remains open for new reservations. This situation should ideally not occur, or there should be an alert indicating that the hotel is fully booked, requiring validation for any overbooking.For example:The hotel has 15 rooms in total, divided into 3 categories (Classic, Superior, and Sea View, with 5 rooms each). For the night of December 31st, the hotel is FULL (15 rooms sold), but there is an overbooking of 1 room in the Classic category, while 1 room remains available in the Sea View category. We will need to upgrade the overbooked Classic room to the Sea View category, but this adjustment has not been made yet.If the staff does not notice this situation, they could inadvertently accept a new reservation in the Sea View cate

Hey guys, Had the topic “online check-in” before… But I was wondering if someone is using GOKI as well and what online check-in solution you use? Im looking for a solution that does not change systems, where upsell and communication is possible and where it is possible after check-in is completed to open the locks with. Process should be completly automatic without anyone to have a manual task. We doing it at the moment with the goki check-in but I feel like there is a lot of potential process wise. If anyone has some insight, let me know :)  BestHendrik

Moin liebe Community,wie geht ihr damit um, wenn Gäste eine Auskunft nach der DSGVO wünschen? Wenn man die Gastdaten per PDF exportiert, dann erstellt MEWS ja nur einen “Meldeschein”, es stehen keine weiteren Daten, wie z.B. die Reservierungen darin. Wir haben unser System im November von Suite 8 auf mews umgestellt.Nun möchte ich per 31.11.2024 die Umsätze in die Fibu aus dem Buchhaltungsbericht übernehmen, da wir die Schnittstelle erst ab Januar zu Datev nutzen werdenBei der Auswertung von konsumierten Umsätzen sind die Debitoren mit Null ausgewiesen. Diese müssen doch aber auch gebucht werden?Nehme ich den Bericht "geschlossen", werden die Debitoren aufgelistet.Wir bilanzieren und ich bin der Meinung, dass wir die konsumierten Umsätze versteuern müssen, was auch in Fidelio der Fall war.Welche Auswertung muss ich nehmen, wie wird es von anderen gehandhabt, welche die Zahlen evtl. auch manuell in die Fibu übernehmen?

Ich habe einen Check-in Automaten von Ariane. Leider werden die Reservierungen nach 24 Uhr nicht mehr gefunden. Wo kann ich die Einstellung korrekt vornehmen, um auch nach 24 Uhr am Automaten einchecken zu lassen?
