Hi ,We've encountered an issue where, when a guest adds an extra payment method via the Guest Portal, Mews automatically charges the newly added card instead of the VCC, even when the nights are meant to be paid by a VCC.This is causing a lot of problems, as guests might not expect their personal card to be charged when the virtual card from the OTA should cover the stay. We have set up proper routings for Booking.com and Expedia, so the reception knows these reservations should be paid via VCC.Has anyone else experienced this issue? I have noticed that this was an issue before but that 4 months ago it was resolved. However I’m experiencing the issue now. Thanks in advance for your insights!Best,Emilie 

Good afternoon,Is anyone else experiencing issues with the Online Check-in process displaying the upgraded room category instead of the originally booked category (named in MEWS: Requested category) ?This can create confusion for guests who may assume the upgraded room comes with an additional charge. They will not realize that it’s a complimentary upgrade offered to them.If anyone has suggestions or insights on how to address this, your help would be greatly appreciated!Thank you,Carol

dringend suchen wir die Möglichkeit, das das Sekretariat unserer Gäste die Möglichkeit hat, sowohl eine Gastadresse anzugeben als auch  eine Rechnungsanschrift, das eine brauchen wir um gesetzeskonform zu arbeiten, das andere um Geld zu verdienen. Gleiches für den Online-Check-In und -Out.  Der Gast will die Daten einpflegen, kann er aber nicht. Stattdessen müssen wir etliche Rechnungen im Nachhinein korrigieren, umschreiben, stornieren was nur unnötige Arbeit für uns und unsere Firmenkunden darstellt.  

Hi,We’ve noted that the Before Start email has disappeared from the MEWS emails?  We can’t see anything in MEWS updates about this and its still showing as an email in the Knowledge Base, so just to ask is this an update?  Many thanks

Does anyone know if it’s possible to use the same voucher code for two different vouchers with restrictions? In my case, I am trying to set up a voucher that provides 5% off all the time. However, on weekends that there is a concert in town, a second voucher will provide 10% off instead, on very specific dates that I was able to set up with restrictions.  However, I want these vouchers to be easy to use. I was thinking that if I used the same voucher code for both, when guests type that code in on our booking engine, it would bring up the appropriate rate based on the dates selected and the restrictions I have set up.  Has anyone done this before, or have an easier way to do it if this route isn’t feasible?  Thank you! 

Hi guys, how do you deal with requests for one big group doing individual reservation, paying separately.So far I’ve only had big groups doing one reservation for everyone and then we check them in individually. This request has left me puzzled. Is there an integration from Marketplace that does it, or is it much simpler than I think?Margo

When trying to download an unpaid invoice as a PDF, Mews only offers only the option to issue a proforma invoice. However, some companies cannot make payments based on a proforma invoice. How can I generate an invoice that is not proforma?

I need to control my payments received per month. That is, matching payments to invoices. How to do it?The amount received each month does not correspond exactly to the invoices paid for the month because there are also deposits for future stays.I need to follow up on a monthly basis.Can you help :) ?

Hello everyone We are looking for an integration that would help us manage our direct events and groups reservations (meaning not the “block booking” ones) and so we’re wondering if we could get any advice from you Mewsers. The idea, in a nutshell, is to be able to manage everything from encoding the reservation to the sending of the confirmation letter and/or contract Are you using one of those? With good results ? Easy to use? Is the level of encoding’s error or interface glitch with Mews acceptable ? Can anyone recommend (physical) ID scanners that work well with the Mews kiosk? I have experience with AdriaScan and 365id (both have their up- and downsides), but not in combination with kiosk check-in. I am aware that Mews offers ID scan via the camera, but in my tests, it didn’t work very well.

Hey guys,Is Mews actually working on a platform for Mews support?We also use Mews Premium Support, and while I really like the support itself, the way tickets are handled is quite tough for me. There are so many emails that it’s really hard to go back to a support ticket and keep track of which ones are still open or have been closed.I think a platform for all tickets would really help to keep better track of things. Also, from Mews’ side, I’m pretty sure it would help with inquiries, as I’ve already had to ask the same question twice because of this issue.Maybe it even exists, and I’m just not aware of it.What are your experiences?

hello together, we would love to welcome our loyalty member in a special way to our breakfast.As we are using the product list to check who has breakfast included, we would love to be able to add the colum “loyalty program” and/or “guest notes” to the checklist. I believe that this is an awesome step into the loyalty topic which MEWS is focussing more now as per the MEWS roadmap (2weeks ago).As well other PMS system do not have this feature I believe.Do others want/need this as well?

Hi everyone,I would like to ask you about Mews PMS integrations with Booking.com. Specifically, I would like to know which integration is being used by other users - the Mews-Booking.com direct integration or the SiteMinder-Booking.com integration.Additionally, I am interested in understanding if you have experienced any overbookings and if so, the frequency of these overbookings. As background information, we migrated to the booking.com-Mews integration and do like the connection however we regularly receive overbookings via booking.com, there is a thought that with the Siteminder -Booking these overbookings could be minimised due to Siteminder holding the availability. As i understand the Mews-Booking.com integration has a minimum pull and push period of 30 seconds for rates, inventory & reservations, while the SiteMinder integration has a minimum pull period of 2 for reservations and a minimum push period of 30 seconds of rates &

Good afternoon everybody,In our hotel, we have a minibar in each room, and to track what guests have consumed, we currently ask them during check-out. However, I was wondering if there might be a report that allows me to review what guests have taken from the minibar in one place. The data for this should be entered into MEWS OPS by our housekeeping team (though it might not be correct, as currently, housekeepers are entering this information in the note box at the bottom of their screen when changing the status from dirty to clean). So mews sends an e-mail to the guests for the online checkout. The problem we have with that, is that the checkout is not available when there are active charges for multiple persons in an reservation … in these cases an error message is shown which asks guests to solve this at the reception.Only when all active charges are on the responsible person the online-checkout is available (i think). This is rarely the case, because Mews POS and other services we use, create charges on person level. When guests have spa treatments or order something in our shop, restaurant or bar it is very likely that charges are created in a way that make the online-checkin unavailable.What happens then for us, is that the guests flood our reception because of the message on the online-checkout.Does anyone have issues with this too? How do you handle that?It would be great to get feedback from Mews on this topic, as it seems like a bit of a logical error to me.
