Hello everyone,I’m looking to configure Mews so that confirmation emails are only sent for direct bookings (Website) and not for OTA bookings via Booking.com. Out of the box, Mews sends a confirmation email for every new reservation, regardless of the channel. Right?Questions: Has anyone implemented a similar setup? Are there any official best practices or Mews-recommended workarounds to truly filter confirmation emails by channel? Thanks in advance for your insights! Best regards,Julius Backes

I have the feeling there are many outages with the booking.com integration lately, but we only “know” it as soon as a guest calls to let us know they still have not received their key codes. Is there a way to get a warning if the integration has a failure so we can manually pull the reservations before we get a notification from the guests? To avoid overbookings it would be super important to realize an outage ASAP

Hi Community,We are a hotel chain with multiple properties using Mews, and I’m reaching out to other hotel groups that share guest profiles across properties to ask how you are handling the "Match and Merge" functionality -particularly for guests booking through OTAs like Booking.com, where we receive a system-generated email address tied to a specific reservation.When emailing this generated address externally, the message is delivered to the guest via their Booking.com account.What we've noticed - and have seen happen - is that if the same guest has active bookings at multiple properties, and their profiles are merged, the communication can sometimes end up linked to the wrong booking.Example:Guest John Doe has a reservation at Hotel A next week.He also has another reservation at Hotel B in a month.A staff member merges the two profiles and chooses to keep the email a

Hello Community!We don't use the Mews booking engine for our reservations - instead, we work with an external provider.As a result, we also have a different payment gateway (merchant) for handling advance payments made through our own website.This setup means that any advance payments need to be manually registered in Mews as external payments.This manual step has proven to be one of the biggest pain points for our hotels. Payments are often misallocated, or bookings end up being charged twice by mistake.Over time, things have improved - especially after we’ve run training sessions for our staff - but the issue tends to resurface whenever new team members come onboard.Has anyone else experienced similar challenges? If so, have you found a smart or effective way to handle this and reduce errors?In a perfect world, I would love to be able to map payments from our external merchant directly to Mews

Can I send a customer a link via Mews that he can provide his credit card details in a secured way?Such as at online check in, but it does not make any sense to send a customer a request for online check in if his stay will only be in some months… Most guests don’t want to provide their credit card details by phone, mail or so and we don’t want to implement another system because Mews seems to be able to provide such a link. It would just be great to have it already before. I also tried to figure out a way that the guest is asked when confirming an offer with the {signIn} - but I didn’t manage.

Edit: die erste, direkt aus dem Buchungsvorgang geschickte Bestätigung ist mit der angefragten Kategorie. Schickt man aber später eine weitere Bestätigung (warum auch immer), steht die höhere kategorie in der neuen Bestätigung. Sie reply weiter unten.Moin.Gäste buchen telefonisch/email eine bestimmte Kategorie.Ich buche sie unter der gewünschten Kategorie ein, da die Kategorie aber wissentlich ausgebucht ist, schiebe ich sie in die nächst höhere Kategorie.Der Gast bekommt aber in der Bestätigung die höhere Kategorie bestätigt und beruft sich später darauf.Meine Idee war ja, den Gast erstmal sicher zu haben (z.B. Stammgäste, die immer nur in Economykategorie buchen, eigene Rate haben odgl.)Wenn jetzt zwischenzeitlich wieder in der Economy Stornos reinkommen, schiebe ich sie wieder runter um die bessere Kategorie frei zu haben für Gäste die mehr zahlen, bzw. der Gast hatte reines EZ gebucht und ich schiebe ihn erst in DZalsEZ und später fehlt

Hi everyone, We’ve configured payment policies in Mews for our main rate groups (“Non-Refundable,” “Best Available Rate,” and “Long Stay”) to automatically charge the guest’s credit card at the time of booking confirmation (mode: automatic, timing: confirmation, method: charge from payment card). This setup was mainly intended for direct bookings on our website, where we also want to enable alternative payment methods. However, we’ve recently noticed that these automatic policies are also being applied to channel manager bookings (e.g., via Booking.com), which is causing issues. For every channel booking, we now receive an “Action required – failed to charge card” message, as we prefer to handle these payments manually. I have two questions regarding best practices: Rate groups vs. payment policies – Does it make sense to create separate rate groups for direct bookings and channel manager bookings (e.g., separate BAR

Guten Morgen, gibt es hier in der Community jemanden der Duetto in Kombi mit MEWS erfolgreich verwendet? Gibt es Tools die mit MEWS nicht funktionieren? (oft stellt sich das ja erst nach Integration raus)Hauptsächlich geht es mir um die Automatisierung. Das Restriktionen setzten. Und um die Möglichkeit in Duetto Raten mit verschiedenen Abschlägen einzustellen über eine Restriktion (z.B. die Frühbucherrate). For the last couple mornings my head housekeeper has noticed that all stays are automatically being changed to clean, but they should be dirty so she has to manually change them to dirty? does anyone have a fix for this ?

Moin zusammen,ich bin auf der Suche nach einem Bericht, der mir das Verhältnis der wiederkehrenden Gäste zur Belegung zeigt.Ich möchte dabei die Anzahl RN in einem Zeitraum im Verhältnis zur Gesamtbelegung. Hintergrund: Wir wollen herausfinden, in wie weit ein Goodie-Programm für Wiederkehrer sinnvoll ist.Was ich finde, sind Zahlen zu den Personen über die Gästestatistik, übrigens auch, wenn ich dort Nächte (!?) filtere,oder über den Reservierungsbericht die einzelnen Reservierungen, allerdings müsste man die manuell zählen und müsste zudem über die Aufenthaltsdauer die RN dazu ausrechnen. Das kann es nicht sein, aber ich werde nicht fündig.Hat jemand eine Idee? Viele GrüßeLeif

I just received an email from a bride saying that she is the only one receiving reservation confirmations--if her guests book online through the availability block link, they don’t get their own confirmation. Has anyone else had this issue or know how to fix it? Thanks!
