Hi all,After advice please on the price override function on stay products. We are so happy we have this function now and are using the override to update prices rather than updating the base price, so that future reservations who already booked are not affected by the price change. Where we struggle is that on the products page there is no indication that a price has been overridden and the price override has an expiry date. Has anyone got a solution for keeping track of your price overrides on products? (other than manually tracking) and solution to be aware when the price override is expiring? Thanks, Sam

hi all,I've got a question and was hoping for some insights on how others deal with this; In some of our hotels we sell cans of beer, and PET bottles with soda at the front desk. These are sold and paid for using MEWS and thus the receptionists needs to charge both the can, as the ‘deposit charge’ (statiegeld) for each item separately. How do other hotels deal with this situation? We have suggested to just raise pricing and make a correction posting in our accounting software, but we have already been informed that law requires to actually show on invoice that there is a separate deposit charge.  Furthermore, I've been told that in a few months the EU legislation comes into effect that we also need to show on invoice to guest what part of the sale is perhaps some sort of ‘packaging’. Dear Mews Community,I hope you can help. Since the beginning of this year one of our hotels changed to MEWS and we are still trying to create our SOP’s. The hotel has many groups in house where room and breakfast is paid by the organiser. At this moment we realised that there is no routing setup that can be done to automatically forward all nights to a group bill / PM / or…I’m aware that for a company we can create a routing, but this will not help as sometimes the company pays, sometimes they don't.I’m wondering if somebody of you have any feedback or best practices that we implement?Thank you in advance.Best regard,Milou

Hallo zusammen,gibt es noch weitere Unterkünfte die mit den Schnittstellen von Omniboost Probleme haben?Wir haben Mews jetzt seit 15 Monaten und die Übertragung von unserem POS läuft  immer noch nicht richtig. Seitens Mews bekomme ich leider keine Unterstützung, sondern werde immer wieder an Omniboost verwiesen.Für mich keine akzeptable Dauerlösung, dass Mews dahingehend auch nicht an Omniboost herantritt und für den Kunden einsteht.@Joanna.Svehlova

Hi Community, we do face some challenges with the end of the day time at midnight, and I’d like to check in with you if you have some best practices which might work out. In theory, we have no issues with the fact of closing the day at midnight, however, at a certain point we face operational issues to reconcile revenues with the POS system and BOF (Back office finance exports) If we would only consider MEWS its less of a problem, but with Export files for Finance and POS integrations, this makes all more complicated.Cash drops are one example. The BOF exports capture all cash drops till midnight, if the outlets are closing late in the night, the cash drop which is reported in the export file does not reconcile with the physical cash drop, as this will be posted on the next day. The next day it balances out, but we do state a daily over/shortage on cash reporting, which Auditors do not accept. At the month's end, we also missed revenue posted after midnig

Hello,I have a question about the groups in Mews.Where in Mews can I get this information please :number of rooms blocked VS number of rooms finaly bookedEx : a group booking of 20rooms, at the end they send 18rooms on the rooming list → 2rooms are left and need to be released. Hi, I was wondering if it was possible to reduce the number of automatic mails sent from mews. For example, guests sometimes receive the online check-in mail etc twice and it is sometimes a bit much in our opinion.

Hi Guys,Need your help!We have been talking with MEWS team for long time about this subject. As per MEWS Representative, MEWS can create packages by adding the product(s) to the room rate. We cannot create such as internal allocation where the guest no need to know how much individual cost. For example, we want to create Summer package for USD 450 as selling price  both for direct booking and display on the website as well,(see below breakdown for inclusions and internal allocation).Would appreciated if you can help this matter.Thank you very much in advance. Dear communityHas anyone experience with creating individual reports from Mews (daily reports & lists in pdf format)?Of course you can export a lot via filters and Excel, but for daily use in the departments this is not really convenience. We have already programmed some reports ourselves, but wanted to ask here how other hotels handle this. Hello all,Over the past few weeks, we've been experiencing consistent issues with the email addresses disappearing at the point of customer checkout, when we make the invoice. We've had to manually re-enter the email addresses every time in order to send the customer their invoice via email. Additionally, there have been instances where the email address has disappeared from the customer's sheet as well, but not always.We're unsure as to whether this is a bug in the program or if customers are deleting their own email addresses from their customer sheet. Could you please investigate this matter?I've attached an example of a customer record where the email address was disappeard,as well as an example of an invoice where the email address has disappeared.

For companies nearby we have contracts for which their guests can stay in our hotel with a discount and payment after departure per invoice.We have noticed that for returning guests, their open bill doesn’t appear in the Accounting Ledger as they have future stays attached to their profile. Our Front Office team doesn’t make the official invoice at check-out. Therefore bills tend to get very high within a short period of time.Would the only way to make the outstanding payments visible in the Accounting Ledger be for the Front Office to make the invoice after departure?Would Payment Routings help in this case?Thank you very much in advance!

Heyo,Does anyone have a way to use an event calendar inside of Mews rather than external apps/programs?At the Arcade Hotel, we host quite a few events, and have been using tasks to inform our staff. Nothing shows up on timeline, nothing shows up in notifications, only if they check tasks (which they do). What is everyone else using?Dan

Hello!I have been using MEWS for a month now, and so far so good but I would like to ask if there was a way to setup the default filters in some reports. Or maybe to save the selected filters and create a report of your liking. I know it’s possible to schedule exports, but it’s an excel sheet and when I’m having a look for some things I like to see it within MEWS, but then again, I always have to select the right filters every time.Looking forward to hearing from you! Kind regards,Sergi

Hi smart people,do you know a way how to access a chat with a guest via reservation? Is there some option to activate that shows the chat history in a reservation or guest profile similar to the notes?Sometimes we receive information that would be great to access again via reservation overview rather than having to search for this one chat with this one guest.I know how to access the reservation that is linked to a chat, however, not the other way around. Thank you and kind regardsTobias

We would like to automatically route all accomodation items to one Bill, and then all on-site adds to a 2nd Bill.This helps us for a few internal accounting reasons, and is helpful to guests.Is there a way to set a rule to do this automatically?  I feel there should be, only coming up short right now :)Thanks!  

In doing our government reporting audit, I need to go back and check bills that are associated with reservations.How can I quickly and easily find bills that are associated with a particular reservation after the bills have been closed?As a reminder - once bills are closed - they disappear from the reservation (screenshot below)_ Thank you :)Ethan  

Hi All,  We have a company who make a lot of reservations and they have multiple receptionists who make the bookings and they all use the same email adres (reception@…….) is there a way to have to have multiple bookers with the same email adres so that all emails and invoices are addressed to the right receptionist?  

Hi everyone,  I have a question about the news app and its nottifications. Some of our employees do recieve notifications about guest messages and some don't. They all have the option “recieve guest messages” enabled in their profile. They all have the newest IOS (16.3.1) but some of them don't even see mews under the settings. Any idea how to fix this?  It seems very random who gets the messages and who don't..
