Hello, does MEWS have the ability to reduce the daily rate according to the length of the stay - i.e. 20% discount for 3 nights of more.Thank you very much 

Dear colleagues and Mews addicts ;-)Does anyone know why a customer sometimes gets automatic emails in different languages from Mews.Have a customer who books online on our site in Dutch language. Gets an automatic mail forwarded in French. Afterwards a mail " Before start" in Dutch then a mail " Booking confirmation" in Dutch then a mail " succ pre" again in French. Customer is angry and wants his mails in Dutch and when I check his customer card I see that the Dutch language is set there. Does anyone know what to do?Gr Robin 

How are properties handling operationally the change of categories on an existing reservation now the ‘keep old price’ tick box has been removed? On the properties tab, requested category, we used to amend the category and price at the same time. Now the tick box is missing so we must look up the new price, write it down, change the category, go to the pricing tab and amend the rate. 

Hello from Paris !When we have to block a room in House Use, we no longer see the schedule and therefore the dates to be blocked. Do you think this function should be improved? My team and I have trouble using it 

Hi,Which report are you using to fill out the monthly CBS (Dutch) statistics?I'm using the statistics report, but because in The Netherlands we only register 1 nationality (person)  per room these figures are not right. Most rooms are occuupied with 2 persons, so I counted all figures times two, but there is still a big difference when I compare it to the guest totals of the manager report.Hopefully someone have a solution for this? Thx Gerjan Hebers

Hello 🙂I currently work with data with an emphasis on finance.We pay percentages to the staff who manage to upsell upgrades, late checkouts etc. However, we could extract this data semi-automatically in our last property management system.No easy task, mind you. Exponentially increasing workload based on the number of staff on each property. Hi everyone! One week ago, I set up different age categories and loaded the city tax as a 0 euros in the products for them. However, when I have one reservation with 4 adults that finally are 2 adults and 2 children (the system does not recognise when there is children and put adults everywhere) and I change from 4 adults to 2 adults and 2 children, the system automatically put the children city tax a 0 euros but it adds the amount substracted to the daily rate and I have to rechange it manually. :( Send help please!!! :)

We are new to Mews. I'm finding it hard getting the answer for this! We have to add Zbed charges to bills as they're not being applied when people book through our site or 3rd party. These are being added on the bill by adding “product” and selecting miscellaneous. This is where we have the charges set up. Thing is, once its added, it cannot be corrected or removed. Is there a way to remove these items firstly. Second, is there an easier way to add things to bills?? I know there is an “item” section but these prices are incorrect and it also adds for every night. We cant add “breakfast” just for one night etc. Hoping this makes sense and any help is gratefully received!!

We are facing the problem of changes of the creditor very often such as address or name changes.Currently we need to cancel the whole invoice and recharge it - which is super complicated.As well as parts of the invoice are products which we received via API (Bizzon POS / Eventtemple). By German law it is not allowed to Do changes with Adobe or similar. How do you handle this? Thank you for your feedbacks in advanceBestMariusz

Is there a way to charge a credit card after the bill has been closed? Our guest checked out and then we had a report of incidental usage in the room. I checked them back in and do not have access to her credit card for incidentals. Thank you 

Hi There,Is there any way I can remove my family rooms from the inventory count? It now counts more rooms then I acctually have. So I can have 17 rooms available even if I only have 14 fysical rooms in the hotel but 3 are also bookable as a family room (so a combination of 3 rooms) Especially with my reporting, I cannot see what my actual occupancy was because Mews counts all my family rooms as additional rooms in the reporting. So I do all the counting manually now which takes a lot of time. Is there anyone with the same problem? and how to fix it? Warm regards,Sijtske

what is the difference between "Mews payments - stripe" and "terminal" when putting card payments in?

Hi! I'm quite new to Mews. Could anyone please tell me if there is a way of knowing if a bank account is directly linked to Mews to receive direct payments please? We have had a cancellation recently and was within 14 days of their arrival. If you go on to Charge and Close, does the payment automatically get taken via guests previously saved card and transferred in to the mews account? We usually take payments through a PDQ .Sorry I couldn't find this answer on mews.Thanks for any help!Lisa

Hey, We are using in our Hotel a Screen that you can basically set up yourself with different content also depending on what day it is. One thing i am trying to do is showing the live prices for direct booking but there is no way to scrape the prices. Did anyone ever manage that? Also would like to put the live prices on the website without clicking through the booking eninge . Is it possible to have a widget for that? Or is there any other way?  Curious if anyone ran into that. Cheers Hendrik

Hello! As far as I know, emails are always send at the preferred language of the guest. Would it be possible to always send it in English? We have our custom email and there’s important information that we want to share, but if the guest selects another language they receive the default email. Or the only way is to create emails for all languages and copy/paste the English version? Kind regards, Sergi

Hi All I was wondering if anyone had any first hand experience with any good guest communication programs that allow you to compose text messages to guests. Our current guest communication software does not allow this.Does anyone have any recommendations outside of Hijiffy?

Hi everyone! Just wanted to know if you are able to set up different types of “child” in the age category and if then, you can set up a brekafast rate and no city tax for them.I already have aldut and child created for the city tax but I would like to make the difference between a child from 2-12 yo that does not pay breakfast from a teenager that pays a cheaper breakfast than adults. Thanks!!

We are looking into possibly changing the language that we use for rebates. We want to make it as simple as possible for our Front Desk staff to understand what it is they are doing when they hit the rebate button as well as educating them through the process when doing a rebate.
