Handling Hotelgutscheine

Hallo liebe Community,wir erstellen derzeit in Mews Gutscheine über ein angelegtes Produkt. Die (fortlaufenden) Gutscheinnummern vergeben wir manuell und tragen diese dann in eine von uns erstellte Excel-Datei ein. Gutscheine, die dann eingelöst werden, müssen beim Einlösen erst umständlich auf Gültigkeit etc. geprüft werden.Das ist alles andere als eine optimale Lösung.Welche Erfahrungen habt ihr gemacht und wie löst ihr das Problem?P.S.: Unsere Restaurants arbeiten mit Lightspeed, die ein tolles Gutscheinsystem haben. Leider können die Gutscheine dann nur über Lightspeed eingelöst werden und haben keine Integration zu Mews.

A question on Space configuration.If the vast majority of your rooms are configured with a “normal bed count” of 2, how do you go about allowing a child or an infant to be booked and stay in parents bed.This is challenging when you operate with child rates, and want to have the applicable rate added. I have the following set-up for extra persons.Infant (0-2 years - Free of charge)Child (3 - 12 years - charge applies)Teen (13 - 17 years - charge applies)Adult (18 years and over - charge applies)If I increase the normal bed count, then 3 adults can book a space which can sleep 2. There is no possibility of adding an extra bed.All tips are appreciated.

Tag manager GA 4

Hey community, We are trying to better track conversion on our website. We are currently use Google analytics GA 4 and i did the setup with this doc: https://mews-systems.gitbook.io/booking-engine-guide/booking-engine-widget/integrations/google-tag-manager but it does not really work. Did anyone connect Tag with Mews booking engine and GA4 succesfully? Would super nice to understand what i need to do differently. Best Hendrik

Routing rules improvements - Call for feedback

Is your property using routing rules? These are (typically) used to move items from guest bills to company owned bills to settle business travels, big company events etc.And they are one of the things we are now working on to make them more efficient and useful.Our goal is to improve transparency of routing, minimise the need for manual routing when the reservation is updated or modified, and make routing easier to configure and maintain for properties with multiple services and large numbers of company profiles in the system. Under sell limit we understand the selling of a limited relative/absolute amount of rooms in a combination of space- and/or date selection at a certain rate(group). Changing address + Reinstating after closing an invoice/closed bill

Hello Mews Community!Hope you are doing great 😁At the moment we are working on enabling you to change the address on an invoice/closed bill. We know that at the moment it is a difficult procedure, including working with the rebate functionality. Currently, we are looking to fully automate this for you, so that a front desk agent solely needs to worry about the correct address, and not the accounting mystery that goes behind it. We have already spoken to accountants in various legal environments to make sure that the proposal is compliant with legal entities such as Germany, Italy, etc. So no worries, we will not exclude anyone to use this eventually 🤗We are not yet ready to start the beta program (YET - I will update this conversation once we are!), but I would love to speak to a couple of front desk agents/front office supervisors to show our plans, and make sure that what we would like to propose makes their lives as easy as possible. Booking for Someone Else and Billing

Hi,It seems when someone using the Mews booking engine and chooses the option “I´m Booking for Someone Else”, Mews automatically invoices the “Booker” instead of the “Guest”.We do not want to invoice Bookers, but rather the Guest, regardless of who makes the booking as the Guest will be responsible for the payment. Besides manually moving the charges, is there any way to automate this?Alternatively, can we simply remove the “I’m booking for someone else” field from the booking engine?

Housekeeping - Automatische Statusanpassung nach x Tagen

Hallo liebe Community,wie sind eure Erfahrungen mit der Einstellung, dass der HSK Status nach x Tagen von geprüft auf schmutzig springt? An sich ist das eine gute Sache wegen Staub, aber woran erkennt die Hausdame, ob es sich bei dem schmutzigen Zimmer um einen Statuswechsel oder ein wirklich zu Reinigendes Zimmer handelt? Das ist bei uns noch nicht so übersichtlich.An starken Abreisetagen mit wenig Anreisen werden bei uns manchmal Zimmer liegengelassen um den Personaleinsatz zu optimieren. Dann wäre ein schmutziges Zimmer nicht gleich an der Abreise zu erkennen.Eventuell hat ja noch jemand einen Trick17 :)Liebe GrüßeVanessa

Housekeeping software

Hi All, We are looking for some good mobile first housekeeping software to implement with Mews. The Functionality in mews is to limiting for us and is not clear enough on the housekeepers side. One of the most important features is the realtime room/space status in mews, so once a room is marked as clean by a housekeeper it should instantly update the space status to clean or inspected in Mews. Also, housekeepers should see all booked products and note’s clearly, not hidden away somewhere and what would be even better if they would get a “task list” per room with everything that should be done extra like adding rose petals or a bottle of champagne. After some research I found Flexkeeper and it looks really appealing with all the features we would like to see. But I was wondering if there is anybody here who has experience with Flexkeeper or perhaps any other tool that works for them.

Invoice refund

Suddenly we woke up today to find something really weird with our Mews account. This is what happened: for every customer that we have whether they have checked out before and paid their bills or they are currently checked in and have already paid their reservation, in their profile page, and in their Billing section, all the billing Items names are changed to “Invoice refund” for no reason whatsoever with a negative amount.How is that change possible? Who can change the invoice names and stateWhy would Mews change the name of all these invoices?
