I’m not sure I fully understand how to activate it. I’m currently using digital keys with Vostio through the Bluetooth/app solution, but I can’t find any information on how to enable the wallet option instead?

I would be interested to hear about the experiences of hoteliers who are using Vostio live and how guests are using the option. How are the guest reactions? Are there any technical problems?

Currently, wallet-based keys are only compatible with Assa Abloy Vingcard door locks running Vostio. We’ve taken a note of the interest for Salto and will of course keep you informed if this changes in future.

Wallet-based keys use NFC technology, not bluetooth. Wallet keys are only compatible with Vostio v10, so if you’re an existing Vostio customer you may need to upgrade your system to support wallet keys.

Wallet-based keys require the use Vostio v10 from Assa Abloy, so an upgrade to your system is likely required before Wallet keys can be enabled.

Thank you for sharing this update. I noticed that wallet-based room keys are compatible with ASSA ABLOY Vostio NFC door locks.
Do you know if they are also compatible with Onity locks?

According to our key solution vendor we need some additional licences and Setup services for the Wallet Key solution, however, they are not sure exactly what is required for the pure NFC/Wallet Solution with MEWS.

An initial offer shows:

So it would be great to receive some more detailed information on what exactly is needed.

Is the Vostio Advanced Solution enough, if only NFC based keys are required? 

Is the Vostio MobileKey Solution required in addition?

Is there a need for some on-site setup?

My previous understanding is that the Mobilkey Solution was required for BLE (as well as the on-site setup), but for the new NFC solution we (and our Vendor) are not sure … 

So maybe you can get some more in depth technical and license info from your contact at AssaAbloy!
