Notification de modification ou d'annulation

Bonjour,

Hello,

This subject is now quite old, but I hope it hasn't been buried.

Mews: have you made any progress on email receipts/notifications for reservation modifications or cancellations? This is a fundamental feature and an essential one. For a small hotel like ours, not receiving them creates more difficulties than anything else... especially since the billing of cancellation fees is automatic and, of course, goes unnotified.

Thank you for digging this subject back up if necessary.

Have a nice day.

Hello @Marielle,

I’m Josue - one of the Community Ambassadors - and I’m happy to help clarify your question regarding the modification/cancellation notifications.

I checked internally, and at the moment Mews does not offer a native email notification for every reservation modification or cancellation, and I’m not able to confirm a timeline for such a feature.

For now, the most practical workaround is to use Zapier with the Mews connector to trigger an alert when a reservation is canceled. A similar automation may also be possible for reservation modifications, depending on the setup and the specific use case. This Community thread gives a bit more detail on the current workaround: Notified when there is any cancellation

If you need an immediate option without automation, another workaround is to review the relevant reservation reports regularly, for example, filtering for only cancelled reservations.

I completely understand the operational impact this can have for hotels, and thank you for raising it. This need has already been shared with Product, and Mews is aware of the demand. At the moment, though, I can’t confirm a native feature or a release timeline. The best next step is to upvote or comment on the relevant request (link here) in the feedback portal so Product can track interest and use cases.

If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to let me know! 😎

~ Best regards,

@josue.orellana is there any opportunity to use n8n instead?

I might help on this @Marielle !

Best,
