Do I have the correct MEWS subscription

We’ve received our first invoice and I notice it has PMS Advanced as the subscription. As we require and Open API, is this subscription correct, or has there been an oversight? I also note the Analytics in the Enterprise subscription. Although we are small (mum and pop shop with a cleaner), each of our 13 individual serviced apartments is treated as a separate property. Each can have different targets (largely down to the apartment owners’ individual expectations). Looking at detail per property rather than generally overall is really important in this small portfolio. Do we need to be on Enterprise to get the open API? Is the cost going to be prohibitive?

Any and all input gratefully received.

Many thanks in advance.

Hi Julie,

It depends what you need the API for - if building a custom integration, you will need enterprise I believe, if using marketplace integrations then advanced is fine.

For the apartments, you can segment out different revenue streams for reporting in accounting by assigning each space category or space its own accounting category (example Apartment 1 Accommodation, Apartment 2 Accommodation etc) - what you cannot do easily is segregate the payments for each apartment if this is required. One workaround is potentially to have one service per apartment? Just be aware this may increase subscription costs as depends the type of contract signed as iirc some are per service?

In analytics (Mews BI), you can segregate revenue out by space by making a custom report based on space name and revenue or occupancy etc andc it is a powerful BI tool, however generally more suited to larger properties that require granular detail and custom reports.

Dear Matt

Thank you so much for taking the time to reply with such helpful informatio. I have confirmed our subscription and we are going to be Enterprise to build a custom integration, which is exciting. I am taking the advise with the accounting categories right now, feel confident that I am on the right path. I’ll bake a look at Mews BI. Although we are small both myself and my partner are incredibly detailed, so I think we’ll like the analytics :)

Very best wishes

Julie
