Hi all, I can’t see any planned updates for this in the Mews app. I was wondering if anyone has ever suggested or voted for the option to check out guests directly through the app.
Our housekeeping team needs to inspect rooms when guests don’t leave on time, and it would be ideal if they could check the guest out on the spot after confirming the room is empty.
Has anyone looked into this or has any thoughts on it?

+1The issue here is that HK will not necessarily have billing permissions to enable them to charge bills which is required for closing bills (checking people out);
an alternate maybe: MEWS also does not flip a due out room to dirty until the guest is checked out of the system, so if you have the status in options as not flipping to Dirty overnight, HK can just change the status to Dirty and FO check that way - due out and Dirty = Departed?
