Availability blocks confirmations

Is there a way to send a confirmation from the availability blocks before the rooms are picked up? with a summary of total rooms blocked of each category. Price per night and total price for entire booking?

I’m Josue - one of the Community Ambassadors - and I’m happy to help clarify your question regarding the availability block emails. 

Thank you to everyone for your engagement on this topic. As it was mentioned above, it is true that at the moment there isn’t a built‑in way in Mews to send a confirmation directly from an availability block before pickup that includes a summary of rooms per space category plus price per night and the total value of the whole block

If you often need more advanced contracts/quotes with total block value, some properties handle this via an external CRM such as Thynk integrated with Mews, using Mews mainly for the operational part (blocks and group reservations).

I’d also recommend logging or upvoting an idea in the feedback portal (feedback.mews.com) for an “availability block confirmation/quote” document, so it can be considered alongside the planned availability‑block revenue reporting improvements.

Hi @anna.ahlen,

As far as I know, this is not possible. I just tested it internally, but I can only send a cancellation if it has not been confirmed yet. Even it would work the confirmation email is not made for multiple room reservation and does not really look nice at all.

Yes that is what I have learned aswell. A lot of groups request a formal confirmation other than just my words in an email but there is no such thing in mews. strange. We had it in suite8 before. it was a pdf file created that you could change the details in for example cancellation policy.
