I'm excited to announce we're looking for properties to join our Beta programme for our new Check Out feature that allows you to check guests out directly after closing a bill. 

The Problem We're Solving

It is common practice to settle incidental charges prior to guests checking out, however after closing the bill users have to navigate multiple clicks to find the check out button.

In the background we have also made some technical changes that allow us to deploy changes faster and reduce maintenance overheads so you may see some subtle UI changes but our objective here is that these are unintrusive and can be easily navigated by the user.

What's Changed?

You can now check out reservations directly from the Bill Details page — no need to jump to the checkout report or reservation.

Here's how it works:

  • When at least one reservation on the bill is ready to check out, a Check Out button appears on the closed bill
  • You can select one or multiple reservations to check out at the same time (up to 10)
  • Only reservations in the "To Check Out" state with no unbalanced bills blocking them will be available
  • Checkout behaviour mirrors the Checkout Report — so if you have automated bill closing and emailing configured, that will still apply at checkout

✅ Are keen to test new UI changes before they roll out to everyone

✅ Are happy to share feedback on usability and any edge cases they spot

 

What We're Looking For in Beta Testers

We'd love your feedback on:

  • Whether the subtle additional changes we have made to the the Bill Details page feel intuitive and works as expected
  • The new Check Out button — does it show up when expected? Does the checkout flow behave correctly? Does it save you time?
  • Any unexpected behaviour or edge cases you come across

Hi Laura, unfortunately the check-out-button is not visible to us.

Hi Leif, I will send you a DM it would be great to understand which closed bill you expected to see this on but didn’t. The check out button will only display if at least one reservation is in the ready to check out state and they have no further charges to pay.

I think you mean me, not Leif :-). The button wasn't displayed for a single departure today where we settled the bill.

Could you please activate it for the following properties?

- Meiser Design Hotel
- Meiser Altstadt Hotel

One small note: the link to the “Full Beta Documentation” does not seem to work for me.
