Has someone managed to link the Mews Gift Voucher app to the mews booking engine?

Great question! At the moment, guests can’t enter a Mews Gift Voucher code directly in the Mews Booking Engine.

The reason is that the Gift Voucher shop works as a separate platform connected to Mews PMS and Mews Payments, but it doesn’t yet provide a voucher field in the online booking flow.

Here’s the current (and supported) workflow:

1. The guest books their stay as usual via the Booking Engine (or you create the reservation for them).

2. You can add a note to the reservation that payment will be made using a Mews Gift Voucher.

3. At pre-arrival, check-in, or check-out, your team:

   • Opens the reservation bill in Mews

   • Goes to Billing → arrow next to “Process payment” → “Redeem Mews Gift Voucher”

   • Enters the voucher code and applies the available balance to the bill

4. If there’s any remaining amount, it can be paid using the usual payment method.

Booking Engine redemption for Mews Gift Vouchers is on the roadmap 👍
It’s not live just yet, so for now, manual redemption on the bill is the way to go.
