Hi,We are looking in to the options of adding our rooms and apartments on AirBnB. As there is no direct MEWS marketplace plugin (like the MEWS Booking.com marketplace plugin) we will have to use a channel manager. MEWS explains how to use a channel manager and which ones work with AirBnB, but that’s about it. No advice or feature list.So, I am looking at the channel managers (with Mews marketplace plugins) that should be able to do the job:Not Promoted by AirBnB, but these say they have AIrBnB support (so I’m not sure what the limitations are)Siteminder CubilisPromoted by AirBnB (and has MEWS marketplace plugin)Roomcloud  Rentals United Yieldplanet STAAHI would like the following to work:Real time update of availability Tariffs and restrictions centrally managed in MEWS and pushed via channel manager to AirBnB Ability to chat with AirBnB guests via

We all know the struggle and time-consuming of manually taking Payments. As a guest you need to go to the reception when checking out, leave the key, check the bill, wait for the receptionist to insert the correct amount into the terminal, insert your card and process the payment 🙄. Within Mews, this process can be fully automated so that the guest journey becomes much quicker and more convenient for guest and reception.  If you wonder how a better adoption of MewsPay could help your property, I recommend having a look at this webinar or research. 

A travel agency has 3 reservations on the books.They paid for all 3 with a single wire transfer. I would like to issue a single invoice with the 3 Reservations, such that I can record the single payment. I do not want to split the payment into 3 parts.We preach the Golden Rule → What Happens in real life is recorded in the system Is this possible?  Or do I have to move the 3 rooms under a single bill? Thank you ;)Ethan Client will be sending a SINGLE wire for the full amount of all three reservations.

Hello Community, We noticed that a lot of hotels are saving invoices in PDF format. And I was wondering why? and also what would be the frequency of this process? should it be daily or could it be weekly or monthly?  Thanks

Hey folks, I was wondering how do you handle Mews updates in your organization?We have been experiencing quite some pressure to update training materials and reacting to Mews releases when certain features become available.We often have to:Evaluate the update - is it a technical advantage / does it require updating 3rd party integrated systems / does it break anything / do we need to change a SOP. Find a way to communicate this with the wider teams - adequate communication frequency v/s spam.What are your best practices controlling the flow of information?How do these align with the notifications available on Mews PMS itself?What system do you use to communicate effectively (email, workplace, newsletters)? Thanks!

Hi Mewsers, I was wondering if someone could help me with the automatic settlement rules.As per policy we want to charge reservations a couple of days in advance. This has been set as an automatic settlement rule for the different rate groups. We offer both RO and BB rates. If a guest books a BB rate, the breakfast product is added to the booking (packaged). In the rate group we’ve selected to charge both nights and products in order to charge the package as a whole instead of only the nights. However, with the products enabled, all items are now charged (ie. parking, museum tickets...), which we of course do not want. How are you all coping with this?

HiI have set up my hotels so that the staff can "ignore the cleaning" for some of our guests' stays.I checked the box in the stay options.But nothing to do, I do not have the option when the status of a reservation check-inCan you help me?

Dear Mews friends,I am having a problem with the listing of our VAT number on the invoices. The data of the customer is clearly listed including his VAT number, but our VAT number is not listed on the invoice. This data is entered correctly in settings, property, and general settings. Our own data are mentioned twice on the invoice.Below the example. 

We want to make a Special Rate that is available from April 1 - April 30th. I can make the Rate.I can make the Voucher -> And set the dates the Voucher is valid.I can make a booking engine for that voucher. I can’t seem to find where to restrict the dates that the Rate/Voucher is applicable. I’m sure this is blindingly obvious and I forgot …

Hello together,how do you feel about having a group at the community “MEWS INCIDENT” which you can sign for.If signed members getting Mews incidents and updates (same than subscribing at https://status.mews.com/ ).Additionally users so having the possibility asking questions regarding this incidents and sharing ideas how to handle until incident is resolved.As well I would like to see more topics here than currently posted via E-Mail. p.a. there is a bug at the moment where users can do changes of property settings without the right “manage property settings”.This would be something I´d love to see here and get information as this effects potentially every property world wide. What do you think? BestMariusz

Hi everybody,we recently stumbled  across the challenge that it is possible (independent of the role and rights) to overbook a property if you follow following steps:Case:Guest wants to prolong his stay for another night and the reservation team did not check the availability for the next day (the hotel is fully booked on the next day) Reservation is opened with click on manage under properties tab the departure date is prolonged for one night no warning appears that there is no availability, it only shows that the change was successfull the timeline, however, now shows that we are overbookedI do have two big problems with that:Everybody, no matter the role and rights can overbook the hotel via this way there is no warning whatsoever, that the hotel will be overbooked when prolonging this guest’s stayDoes anybody know a way how to avoid this? Hi Mews Community.  Does anyone know how I can create restrictions in MEWS to accomplish the following:If the date of arrival is more than 30 days away, a booking needs to have a minimum of 2 nights.  (New one night bookings are only to be allowed if arrival date is closer than 30 days from now.) (Will apply to an Exact Rate)I have tried a few things in Services > Stay > Restrictions but cannot seem to get it to work.    

Hello there,Some of our rooms are used as meeting rooms quite often during the week. I understood that in that case it’d be better to create a new bookable service in order to registrate these time slots. However it is not really clear to me how I’ve to set this up.Someone has some experience with this ?

Hi all,How do you manage the tracking of your rollaway beds / baby cots at your location?We would like to find a way to associate the product with a reservation. To be noted, we only have a few of those on site and don’t always charge for their placement. Furthermore, the product report does not show which reservations have the product charged anyways.How do you keep track with how many beds are already confirmed or placed into the rooms with Mews? At this time we are using an excel sheet. Creating the bookable service seem to confusing and not mistake-proof..Thanks for your tips on that!

Hey at all We do have a challenge with the 2-way connection between Expedia - Siteminder - Mews The prices we sent out from MEWS comes 1:1 to Siteminder. From Siteminder to Expedia we charge + € 5 and + 5%  All the time when we receive a Expedia Booking in MEWS we need to change the price manually.Any Ideas, why the prices are incorrect?With booking.com we do not have this problems and they do have the same set up. Looking forward to your help
