Hello Mews team,I wanted to see if anyone had a suggestion on how to better classify media stays. For example, we had an influencer stay with us, and all expenses were comped. I created a product to zero out all her charges. Would this be the best way to track these types of reservations and show at the end of the year how much has been spent on marketing?I appreciate your help and collaboration on how to improve this system, for a freshman at Mews University!

hi GuysWe had a very large block over the past 5 weeks with over 3250 room nights and when checking out the final invoice I got a message it contained more than 3000 items and could not be closed. I should now split the invoice in 3 parts to send it according to the message I got, but this is not an option and I need 1 invoicehow can this be solved?

Hello Mewsers I’ve spotted an interresting comment from @Joanna.Svehlova on an other thread NB: This comment is actually marked as the best answer for this topic The idea was to deactivate the automatic change of status (from Inspected to dirty) after 7 days (legionella cleaning) like it is done for the rooms. Indeed some spaces part of some services like parking spots, extra bed (done in the nick of time when needed), meeting room or restaurants are not supposed to be cleaned like a room should per say, right? Is it still possible, like apparently it once was, to contact the support and have it fixed the way it should (the way we want 😉) ? Meaning leave the status for those particular spaces on “Insepcted” permanently of course Thanks in advance to

Hi - We are not using the housekeeping functionality - and it is a bit of extra time each day to mark each room as inspected.  Is there a way to turn off the changing status?  So that we are always in the green - unless we mark the room as “out of service” or “house use” ?Thanks !

Hi everybody,please note, that Mews uses an old Booking.com API that apparently leads to a validation warning. One of my customers got overbooked which is why we checked the Channel Manager Queue. According to a reply message from Booking Mews uses a deprecated API version, see below. Not yet fully sure, the overbooking happened due to the old API usage, however, I want to raise awareness here so you check your Booking.com reservations or high demand dates for overbookings. There might be other reasons for the overbooking. Still using an old API version is not very comforting especially when it also comes with a validation warning when pushing inventory to Booking.com.There is a ticket open, so I am sure Mews is having a closer look.Kind regardsTobias  

Dear All,When receiving bookings made though the OTA Expedia, we see that there are 2 different types of bookings:Hotel Collect : meaning the clients pay on-site and commission invoice gets sent at the end of the month for checking. Rate of the reservation is therefore GROSS, commission is included in it. Virtual Card : meaning the clients have paid at booking and expedia has already received their commission directly, no invoice is sent. Rate of the reservation is therefore NET, commission has been deducted from a higher rate and arrives to you excluded.Consequently, the decision of booking with Virtual Card makes a difference in on average daily rate.We are seeking for the best way to see the gross amount on our account reports so that our ADR is correct.One idea would be to increase the rate of the Expedia Virtual Card by calculing what the gross amount is by using the relative adjustment and settling the invoice with 2 means

 Hi there i have multiple questions and issues at our property A Hotels City. We have a kiosk from Mews so guests can check in and make room keys themselves. Here comes the issues; Expedia Collect bookings:Issue; We've set up routing rules for Expedia collect bookings but many of the bookings we get doesn't get moved automatically to the travel agency which then asks the guest for a payment while checking in from the kiosk. Q.; Why do some get moved and some doesn't? Preauthorisation;Issue;At our property, we take a preauthorisation of 500DKK before check in for each reservation. We've set up scheduled payments so that the preauthorisation is made at check in time (2pm). This rule only works if the guest have entered a valid card and not all of our guests put in their card info while making the reservation. But while checking in from the kiosk, the guest can get their room

Hi everybody!Is there anybody out there using the UpsellGuru Integration?They need some “Upgrade Product” to map to, in order to post upgrade charges, but the Upsellguru Support cannot provide documentation or details on how exactly that product needs to be set up. Is it possible to change receivables invoices that have already been created?Can individual items be deleted from a receivables invoice so that the total invoice amount is reduced accordingly? Thanks!!

Hi there. We recently noticed automatically added cancellation and no-show fees on several reservations which are not supposed to have any fees at all… These fees and total amounts are being added to our revenue but this is wrongly added… If I cancel the cancellation fees or other items, then it just shows up in the guests profile as "to be refunded" and still being added to "room revenue"  Is there any way to completely delete these fees from the report hence they are amounts we're not getting... Hope it makes sense and someone has a solution 

We are working with Omniboost to get the Mews integration with Xero working. We cannot currently get the deposit transactions to be coded to a balance sheet liability code, they are currently coding to accommodation.  we have asked support several times but have not managed to get a clear answer that helps so trying here are urgently need help so our bookkeepers can have the correct info!Thank you

Hello!How are you supposed to find the right target bill when moving items? It might seem easy, but when you have several guests of the same company in house or from the same travel agency with routing rules applied, then you might find numerous entries in the move items to window… see an example:Most of the time you just want to move the items from the current reservation to an already open company bill in the same reservation, but it’s not clear which one it is … especially when the open balance is the same for many… wouldn’t it be a good idea to highlight or list the open bills of the current reservation first?What are your thoughts or hints  ?Regards,Jean-Philipp.

We are looking for a way to customize our emails for certain dates. For example, we want to send a different confirmation email when people book for certain dates (think of Christmas). We would like to know if there are solutions for this within Mews or with an integration.

Hi, is there a way to turn off the Overbooking function?We’re a small property with very different categories, we therefore do not want to be able to be overbooked as guests choose & book the category they want - and so usually do not want to upgrade to a higher category.For example we have just had an overbooking for one category which is a room but the higher category is a self catering house!  We are on diffusive.thank you so much in advance!

Hi All,Is anyone else struggling with routing rules not followed when there is an amendment on a reservation and have a good workaround? (😭)For example we have routing for Airbnb to route to the company profile but if a reservation amendment comes from the channel manager the routing is no longer followed and re-assigns the nights to the guest.This means when a guest checks in on kiosk they are then required to pay for the reservation.  Trying to avoid manual reservation checks each day which is not efficient and not the goal of having Mews, are others finding this issue?
