Hello, we connected Duve to Mews for our guest journey. Now we are accepting Payments in Duve via Stripe. To make sure the payment gets from Duve to Mews and the guest invoice we need to find the Billing ID so that we can sync the data. Does anyone know how to find the correct infos. Hello everybodyWhile setting up Mews and especially the breakfast products we put them as consumed “before night” and not “after night” as we should have. It escaped the vigilance of our account manager and ours...😩 The result is that now while printing our F&B breakfast list (using the products report) there is 1 day gap. Indeed the number of the breakfasts products for let’s say the 15th of November is actually the one of the 14th of November and so on (see below): We have tried to correct it of course by setting the concerned products to “after night”, but it does not seem to be updating everyhting that as already been registered in Mews. And there are already thousands of reservations and products registered... Do you know if there is way to do an automatic refresh/update, passing the products from co

Dear Mewsters,I'm writing to seek your insights on implementing a seasonal modification to our minimum stay requirement. Currently, our listing maintains a year-round minimum of two nights. However, we're interested in adjusting this to a three-night minimum during the peak summer season, specifically from June 20th to September 22nd.We'd like the three-night minimum to apply solely to bookings with arrival dates on Fridays and Saturdays. This approach aims to balance guest flexibility with maximizing occupancy during busy periods.While we believe this is a straightforward adjustment, we acknowledge the potential interplay with our dynamic pricing software, PriceLabs. Hi Community,Currently unable to find this or post a new idea in the ideas forum so bringing this to the community team. We have had the issue for many years now that when fully booked only those with overbooking rights can split a reservation. Are we missing a workaround? Obviously we do not want to give the whole team overbooking rights and it is a waste of time needing managers to split each reservation. Thanks, 

Hello in the round,We have here in Germany as of the 1.01.2024 a food tax increase from 7% to 19%, the problem that we are having is that all food products booked before the start of January for our up coming bookings have not increased to the new tax of 19% so that we have to go through all bookings individually and manuel cancel the food products and repost so that the tax changes from 7% to 19% is corrected. This is more than time consuming and wanted to ask if there is another way to bypass having to do this. In the background we have changed the tax but it seems that Mews was unable to correct the pre-exisiting posted food items from 7% to 19%. The biggest problem is that on every booking the breakfast must be corrected… which is very time consuming. We have tried to contact Mew Tech, but have yet to receive feedback if they can correct it, and have been informed that we should leave all bookings open until the problem is corrected. Hi allI’ve inheritied a bit of a mess and I see in Expedia I have “Standalone Rate” and “Package Rate”.  When I’m doing the mapping from MEWS → SiteMinder → Expedia; I’m choosing the Standalone Rate.However in the Siteminder help file it says:Package ratesPackage rates are displayed with the word "Package". This type of rate is a price-bundle deal consisting of products, services, and extras — from flights, car rentals, and insurance, to tours and other activities. Their prices are calculated by Expedia, so our platform does not send pricing to Expedia. Restrictions are also frequently blocked by the channel.💡 Like linked rates, these rates share availability with the “SellRate” and must be mapped. I don’t see how to map these?  Any thoughts?  Should I disactivate the Package rates in Expedia? Merry Christmas!

Hi fellow users!We want to prevent check-ins to be completed if there is an outstanding balance. we are operating Hostels and all our bookings should be pre-paid. We’ve tried using the “preauthorization required” under visit option, but that didn’t work as expected. any other solutions before I raise this as an improvement request. thanks!Michael

Hey Community, We recently  looked at out analytics of how people use our direct booking engine and figured that we loose more than 50% after people place their reservation into the busket. I wonder if there are some stats to see what causes this and how that looks like for other Propertys?  Also wondering how to encourage people in the last step of the booking engine to actually make the booking.  Happy to get some insights here :) BestHendrik

I can see analytics, but not of the Booking Engine conversions I can see rates on Hotel Search, but not sure I’m doing it correctly. I can run and ad, but not track its results. How can I ensure my information is consistent across all needed data points to ensure we’re not flagged. Hello, most of the time, my team forgets to check the "send marketing emails" option in the profile internals when checking in through the browser. However, when using Mews Kiosk, this doesn't happen since the button is on the profile filling screen. Is there any way to have this button available in the profile section through MEWS for the Browser as well? 

Hi,I am looking to understand in more detail the automatic settlement logic for reservations with unassociated payment cards. Basically, I want to take manual preauths for automatic preauths that have failed, either for those reservations with unassociated cards or for those whose associated card has failed. I am afraid that if I take a manual preauth and it passes, then if the customer subsequently  fills his online check in form, the auto preauth may be triggered, resulting in a double preauth. What logic does mews use when an auto preauth fails, I have done some tests where it doesn’t seem to reschedule the auto preauth even if the customer subsequently associates a payment card but I am not sure if that behaviour is 100% true in all cases...

Hello Mews addicts,who can help me for setting up a booking banner on our wordpress site. Right now I have a booking button that links to a url outside of our own site. I know there is a Hotels for Trees integration/partnership with Mews, but is there any other organizations that there is a potential for a direct partnership?

Hi,We have the new Expedia Direct integration and are having problems with Expedia Collect reservations not coming in correctly. In my integration config, I have set it up like sorate id                     Payment type99999999               Hotel Collect.Both the Hotel Collect and Expedia Collect bookings are catched by this mapping but the Expedia Collects  come in with wrong daily rates. Also here in Quebec we have different tax requirements for Expedia Collect and Hotel Collect so it would be very nice if the integration could route the Expedia Collects to a different rate. Is this possible ? There is a lot of Info out there about appending an A to the rate or using a different expedia notification code or trying to get expedia to change its rates so that the Expedia Collects have a different numeric id (the number before the A) but I have not succeeded in implementing any of them. Hi again users!Is it possible to automate the creation of Payment Request email? We have bookings paid at hotel coming through an OTA without the CVV, so we want to trigger the payment link from MEWS Payment, instead of having to manually trigger it for each booking. thanks!Michael

I am trying to see if there are any existing ways to have MEWS flag or send a report for any reservations made where the name of the guest and the name of the card on file do not match. We like to make sure guests book with a card issued under their name.  Are there any existing features to assist with this? Or does anyone have any suggestions? 

For online check-in, you now have the choice of checking in with your name + booking number or just your surname.I don't understand why both are required when creating just the key. If a guest has lost their room card, they don't automatically have their booking number to hand. Can this also be changed for the key setting? It doesn't make sense to me.Thanks

Hallo zusammen,in Deutschland steht ja die MwSt. Änderung an.Gibt es hierzu von Mews ein ‘How to do Guide’ oder ähnliches?Desweiteren die Frage - wenn ich die Ratenregeln ändere, ändert es die Artikel in allen Buchungen oder nur in den neu erstellten? Genauso bei den Artikeln selbst - wenn ich den Betrag ändere, übernimmt es das für alle Buchungen oder nur neue?Vielleicht hat jemand von Euch schon einen Plan und könnte mir helfen. :)Dankeschön und viele Grüße
