 Hi there i have multiple questions and issues at our property A Hotels City. We have a kiosk from Mews so guests can check in and make room keys themselves. Here comes the issues; Expedia Collect bookings:Issue; We've set up routing rules for Expedia collect bookings but many of the bookings we get doesn't get moved automatically to the travel agency which then asks the guest for a payment while checking in from the kiosk. Q.; Why do some get moved and some doesn't? Preauthorisation;Issue;At our property, we take a preauthorisation of 500DKK before check in for each reservation. We've set up scheduled payments so that the preauthorisation is made at check in time (2pm). This rule only works if the guest have entered a valid card and not all of our guests put in their card info while making the reservation. Hi everybody!Is there anybody out there using the UpsellGuru Integration?They need some “Upgrade Product” to map to, in order to post upgrade charges, but the Upsellguru Support cannot provide documentation or details on how exactly that product needs to be set up. Is it possible to change receivables invoices that have already been created?Can individual items be deleted from a receivables invoice so that the total invoice amount is reduced accordingly? Thanks!!

Hi there. We recently noticed automatically added cancellation and no-show fees on several reservations which are not supposed to have any fees at all… These fees and total amounts are being added to our revenue but this is wrongly added… If I cancel the cancellation fees or other items, then it just shows up in the guests profile as "to be refunded" and still being added to "room revenue"  Is there any way to completely delete these fees from the report hence they are amounts we're not getting... Hope it makes sense and someone has a solution 

We are working with Omniboost to get the Mews integration with Xero working. We cannot currently get the deposit transactions to be coded to a balance sheet liability code, they are currently coding to accommodation.  we have asked support several times but have not managed to get a clear answer that helps so trying here are urgently need help so our bookkeepers can have the correct info!Thank you

Hello!How are you supposed to find the right target bill when moving items? It might seem easy, but when you have several guests of the same company in house or from the same travel agency with routing rules applied, then you might find numerous entries in the move items to window… see an example:Most of the time you just want to move the items from the current reservation to an already open company bill in the same reservation, but it’s not clear which one it is … especially when the open balance is the same for many… wouldn’t it be a good idea to highlight or list the open bills of the current reservation first?What are your thoughts or hints  ?Regards,Jean-Philipp.

We are looking for a way to customize our emails for certain dates. For example, we want to send a different confirmation email when people book for certain dates (think of Christmas). We would like to know if there are solutions for this within Mews or with an integration.

Hi, is there a way to turn off the Overbooking function?We’re a small property with very different categories, we therefore do not want to be able to be overbooked as guests choose & book the category they want - and so usually do not want to upgrade to a higher category.For example we have just had an overbooking for one category which is a room but the higher category is a self catering house!  We are on diffusive.thank you so much in advance!

Hi All,Is anyone else struggling with routing rules not followed when there is an amendment on a reservation and have a good workaround? (😭)For example we have routing for Airbnb to route to the company profile but if a reservation amendment comes from the channel manager the routing is no longer followed and re-assigns the nights to the guest.This means when a guest checks in on kiosk they are then required to pay for the reservation.  Trying to avoid manual reservation checks each day which is not efficient and not the goal of having Mews, are others finding this issue?

When creating packages most properties add the product price on top of the night price 🛌🍴 What happens if your product is already included in your night price (the one you set up in the rate) but you still need to show the ventilation on your accounting report? 📊 It is actually quite easy to set up!The idea is to create twice the same product and add them both to the product rule. One product will have the actual price of the ventilation and be linked to the correct accounting category and the other product will have the price in negative and be linked to the accommodation category. Of course when creating the product the option “bill as package” should be ticked in both the product and the general bookable service settings. 🔧Since the negative product will only be used for the package I recommend disabling both the options “offer to customer” and “offer to employees”. 🚫

How can I reduce the availability/bookability of our hotel to a maximum of 1 year (for the OTAs). And where do I set the general prices for the rooms?

Good morning everyone, We have just been hit with a 3000 USD chargeback claim. It turns out a stolen credit card was used.A guest entered a false name for the reservation that matched the stolen credit card. They used the self check-in at the MEWS Kiosk, but they entered an incorrect passport number. (on purpose obviously) Unfortunately, the Kiosk does not validate passport information, so it depends on people being honest. I think it would help us enormously if we would be able to scan and save the passport copy from the MEWS Kiosk during the self check in. I understand there might be some hardware purchases (like a passport scanner) we’d need to do, but I’m just looking for a solution to this problem.Please note that whatever solution we need will need to be done in the self check in, as we are a hotel without a reception desk, just self check in stations.  How do other hotels avoid credit card fraud during self check

Hello everybody!I am currently in the process of setting up our system as a new customer.Is there a way to add a html snippet anywhere that is used as a footer in all outgoing emails to customers / guests? Since legally we are required to include certain company information on any official communication, that would by great. Because as of now it looks like I had to manually add and maintain this info in all email templates in all languages. A very tedious and inefficient work…Any ideas? Hello,We want to use the Mews Dasboard in our office on large screens to have a up to date overview of bookings, arrivals and check-outs. But after a few hours we have to log on to Mews again. How can we arrange to have the Mews Dashboard vissable, refreshed but not have to log on every few hours?

Good evening everyone,  As background, we are a 100% self service hotel. We do not have a receptionist sitting at a desk in the lobby. We utilize the MEWS kiosk. We operate out of Costa Rica, where the MEWS terminal is not an option. Guests all have paid 100% of their reservation before they set foot in the lobby.  One of our methods of ensuring an easy payment on checkout day is to always have an (enabled) card on file. For single bookings, that is not an issue, as the card is added and enabled automatically. For group bookings however, this is not possible to do as guests don’t book their own rooms. We are trying to find a way to avoid manually adding guests credit cards for group bookings of let’s say 20+ rooms. Both at reception and calling people before their arrival is very intrusive. Sending guests a 1 dollar payment request before their arrival is actually feasible though. The issue with that is that it doesn’t save the card, and so

Hi gyus How do you manage having a currency conversion rate in the reception where it is lower than the official without changing the currency rate in mews? if we change the rate in MEWS it will affect the IBE exchange rate. we are NOT interested in adding fees.

Hello, we connected Duve to Mews for our guest journey. Now we are accepting Payments in Duve via Stripe. To make sure the payment gets from Duve to Mews and the guest invoice we need to find the Billing ID so that we can sync the data. Does anyone know how to find the correct infos. Hello everybodyWhile setting up Mews and especially the breakfast products we put them as consumed “before night” and not “after night” as we should have. It escaped the vigilance of our account manager and ours...😩 The result is that now while printing our F&B breakfast list (using the products report) there is 1 day gap. Indeed the number of the breakfasts products for let’s say the 15th of November is actually the one of the 14th of November and so on (see below): We have tried to correct it of course by setting the concerned products to “after night”, but it does not seem to be updating everyhting that as already been registered in Mews. And there are already thousands of reservations and products registered... Do you know if there is way to do an automatic refresh/update, passing the products from co
