Dear MEWS Community,Screen real estate is precious, especially when managing reservations, yet there are many ways to maximize the use of this limited space. A simple improvement would be to display more information in the hover-box that appears when you mouse over a reservation.Currently, the hover-box only shows the guest's first and last name along with their arrival and departure dates. This information is almost redundant, as it’s already visible on the timeline screen. Additionally, the hover-box is relatively small compared to the available screen space, which leaves room for more relevant details.Why not make better use of the hover-box by adding more useful information? The possibilities are endless. Hello, Just checking if I’m the only one here having this issue? Normally speaking, when we receive a reservation via Booking.com, the credit card details are automatically loaded into Mews (in the payment methods). Now this is not the case, and we have to do it manually. Anyone else with this issue? I thought this might be an issue on the side of the channel manager, but other OTA cards load in correctly. Thank you.

Are there any best practices in entering guest extensions to ensure KPI tracking is correct (eg sales channel, number of guests etc.) and avoid conflicts with OTA trackings which trigger a commission?Any tips would be helpful. Thank you!

What report can i create in Mews that will give me an overview of No Shows like this ?  

Basically I have an Employee X who created a Customer Profile at a certain date. Then changes to that profile has been done over a certain period of time. Then this profile was deleted from Mews, meaning that the customer profile does not exist, it was merged with another profile or deleted altogether.I want to find out that happened to that delete customer profile and what are the actions that were done by that employee on that profile. Knowing that the customer profile doesn’t exist anymore, I cannot go to the action log of that profile, neither do I have an action log for the employee X to know what that employee did. Action Log and Activity Report do not provide that information.Help.

How can i use my own stripe account as a payment method

In an effort to leverage the Guest Journey within Mews, I have updated our Checkout Invitation to include a note about adding gratuities as part of checking out online and added this to the ‘Rules’ for checking out online. I’m trying to determine whether there is a best practice for doing this already in use by other properties or if there are recommendations for how to improve the process I’ve created. Hey Community,  We are seeing a huge potenial in having bulk updates for the room status, we basically need it to be able to make sure guests dont check-in in to early without paying the early check-in fee but still give the oppertunity to have everything ready before coming to the hotel. We use the goki online check-in for that and if a room is on inspectedand the guest checks in the reservation starts automatically even before official check-in time.Idea is to make it possible to change all clean rooms automatically to inspected on a specific time. Does anyone know if this would be possible to build with zapier?   Best regardsHendrik  

Is it possible to create a field in a reservation to be able to add a baby in the room (0-2 years) 100% free of charge? If the reservation is booked as including breakfast rate and we want to add a baby we need to add a child but the will modify the including breakfast rate.

Dear Mews Community,I'm looking for a person who has more in-depth knowledge of Zapier. I would like to do some automation with the integration, but I haven't quite gotten through it yet. As an example, in addition to many other automation ideas, I would like to know if the following automation is feasible:I would like to generate a Google Sheet daily with all reservations in the house. I know there is the "Guests in the House" report within Mews, but I would prefer to map this via Zapier to bring the data directly into an appropriate format.Unfortunately, I couldn't find a pre-built trigger within Zapier for this. There is only the trigger for new reservations, but not for existing ones.Does anyone know whether this is may possible with Webhooks by Zapier for example?I would be very happy to have an exchange partner on this topic.Best regardsNiclas

Dear CommunityWe are opening our Hotel in December and I am thinking about processes a lot. We offer shuttle service to the cable car free of charge. Now I was wondering if one of you has a suggestion of a Software which could be handy to add guests & time and location, so every porter & front desk has access to the information. I would love to hear your inputs. Best regardsLaura 

HiI am a Product Manager within the Finance team, I met with a customer yesterday who suggested that they would like to start adding a service charge to all Bills in Mews, similar to the way that a service charge is added to a bill in a restaurant. Their idea was to add the service charge as a % of the total bill value or as a % of the accommodation items to avoid F&B items being charged multiple service charge. They discussed that they would need to inform the customers of the charge in advance of the stay and they would likely do this via the confirmation email. They commented that are a lot of properties are doing this now.The property is unsure how their guests might react to the charge and we were keen to start a conversation about this subject:does anyone have any experience of adding a similar charge and has it been successful? are their other properties interested or considering adding a similar charge? 

Hello everybody, does anybody have a clue if there is the possibility to remove the system integrated counter for postings? I.e. if we give out vouchers it says “Voucher 105 - Voucher Nr. 1234”Red is the number the counter in the system gives it and shows on the invoice, green is the internal voucher number. Is there any possibility to remove these? So that it only says “Voucher - Voucher Nr. 1234” Thank you kindly!

Hi everybody Is there an option to add a Tip during the Check Out Process on the MEWS Kiosk?Until now we just can add it to the minibar products, but as we do not have minibars in our rooms, it does not make a lot of sense there. Best practise would be to have a “add tip” section on the Mews Payment Terminal. Can this be done somehow? Thank you Dominik

PHow do I book a group - i.e. a group of 20 corporate leaders where a contract would go to one person and the company would pay with one credit card for all the guests and the entire program etc. We plan on having a lot of group bookings at our venue (rather than just individual guest bookings for rooms) - for instance, small corporate retreats which will require room blocks.  Does Mews have the capabilities of sending quotes, contracts and invoices?  If not, will this be a feature in the near future? If not, is there a "work-around"? Does it also have the ability to create BEO's?
