Update:
The Peppol fiscal registry integration for Belgium is now live, you can use these setup and usage guides to get started using it:
From 1 January 2026, all businesses operating in Belgium must comply with new legal requirements surrounding invoicing.
Wait, what’s changing?
In an effort to reduce fraud and improve efficiency, the Belgian government is mandating that all Belgian VAT-registered entities issue and send B2B invoices through a structured digital format. This means paper and PDF invoices will no longer meet compliance requirements.
Please note that B2C invoicing is not currently part of this mandate.
How we’re supporting you
Instead of asking your teams to learn new tools or juggle multiple systems, we're integrating the new e-invoicing into Mews.
Together with our e-invoicing partner, Invopop, we’re creating:
-
A seamless, compliant invoicing process within Mews
-
A connection to a certified Peppol Access Point managed behind the scenes by Mews and Invopop.
-
Automatic creation and sending of compliant e-invoices, once you set up the integration in Mews
Of course, we still recommend hoteliers continue to validate their overall setup with their tax advisor.
What you need to do
Nothing for now. At the moment we’re busy building the integration and it will be available via Mews Marketplace in December 2025. Once it’s built, we’ll update this Mews Help Article with more guidance, so keep an eye out.
