Rate change report

Is there a way to have a report by the end of the day to see if any price adjustment was made on any rate of that rate.

For example, if a FDA does an adjustment in the pricing of a reservation due to a complaint at check-out, how can I, front office manager, or the revenue manager can track it?

On the action log, in the report section, does not show this.

I’m Josue - one of the Community Ambassadors - and I’m happy to help clarify your question regarding tracking rate / price changes.

Good news - the Action Log actually does cover this, though the right filter combination might not be obvious at first glance.

Here's how to track price adjustments made to reservations:

  1. Go to Main menu > Operations > Action log
  2. Set your Start and End dates (e.g. today's date for an end-of-day review)
  3. Under Type select Reservation changes
  4. Under Reservation change type, select Repriced — this captures any changes to the total amount due on a reservation
  5. You can also filter by Employee to see which team member made the adjustment

If you want to track changes to the rate itself (rather than a manual price override), select Rate changed as the Reservation change type instead.

There's also a Rate filter - if you select a specific rate from that dropdown, the Action Log will show only price adjustment activity for that rate.

For individual reservations, you can also go directly into the reservation and click the Action log tab to see the full change history for that booking specifically.

Hope that helps!

If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to let me know! 😎
