Als früherer leidenschaftlicher Entwickler frage ich mich….gibt es in Mews eigentlich “easter eggs”?

Paraphrasing what a brilliant engineer once told me: it's not a bug, it's an ✨ easter egg ✨ 😵

Jokes aside, no, we did not hide anything on purpose, but like @MattJones wisely said, we do have some features that are not as "in your face" as others, specially if they are not essential to most businesses (like keyboard shortcuts) but rather small delights.

It's always a fine balance between bombarding users with information vs. a quick onboarding of the essentials (which is already quite long, as running hotels is quite complex). But our most ambitious users like Matt (love the Chief Tech Nerd title!) will find and make great use of them!

Tell me more! What's your favorite "hidden" feature, and how did you find it? 🕵

Haha, definitely in a way - plenty of little tips and tricks that people skip in training or forget to ever use:

  • Custom Links
  • Keyboard Shortcuts, especially pressing enter to save instead of clicking button if in a single line text field
  • Res report for sales statistics
  • Availability adjustments in reporting
  • Email Queue confirming an email was delivered/opened
  • Product Checklist
