Hello Community!
You might have noticed there is a Best Answer option at the bottom of all questions. I’m here to explain what this does and why it helps 😊
Clicking Best Answer means that out of several responses you may receive to your question, one comment will have the most relevant solution. Marking that answer as the best will help others that are looking for a solution to the same question find the most obvious answer more easily. A best answer is visibly marked by a green tick, the status changes to ‘Solved’ and the answer is pinned directly underneath the question.
Why Mark a Best Answer?
When you mark an answer as the best, it gets highlighted at the top of the topic in green. This makes it significantly easier for others browsing the topic to spot the most effective answer without sifting through multiple responses.
However, there are occasions when an answer is marked as the best even though it hasn’t completely solved the problem. This can happen for a few reasons:
- Some areas of Mews may not be working as designed or are on the roadmap for improvement.
- The issue could be a bug that is currently being addressed.
How You Can Help
In instances where the issue persists, the best course of action is to:
- Raise a support ticket.
- Create or vote on a feature request.
While marking such responses as the best answer may not technically solve the issue, it helps keep the community moving by removing the question from the Help Others section.
So, next time you find an answer that helps, remember to mark it as the Best Answer. This simple action significantly improves the efficiency and value of our community for everyone.
Happy resolving,
Your Community Team
