Hallo liebe Community,seit der neuen Ledger-Funktion haben wir ein Problem mit den ausstehenden Salden.Bisher haben wir die Gegenkonto-Funktion immer als Abgleich und Kontrolle für offene Rechnungen genutzt. Seit dem letzten Update werden jedoch bei Erstattungen und Gutschriften diese Positionen weiterhin mit unterschiedlichen Salden angezeigt, anstatt – wie zuvor – mit 0 Saldo ausgeblendet zu werden.Ein Beispiel habe ich im Anhang beigefügt.Da wir dieses Tool in der Buchhaltung als Übersicht für offene Rechnungen verwenden, befürchten wir, dass die Liste durch weitere Gutschriften zunehmend „zugemüllt“ wird und der Überblick verloren geht. Vom Support wurde uns bereits ein Workaround über Excel empfohlen, was in der täglichen Praxis allerdings wenig sinnvoll erscheint.Hat jemand ähnliche Erfahrungen gemacht oder eine praktikable Lösung gefunden?Vielen Dank vorab und viele GrüßePaul Eisfeld 

Good morning everybody from Venice, Italy.I would like to ask the community how they approach the following very common situation: When you have two or more rooms travelling together as a family, it can very well happen that one customer will settle for all of them. In a previous PMS I was able to just route any charges to e.g. the kids’ room to the parent room using ‘route to room’ and inserting the corresponding room number.Mews does not seem to have this feature, other than changing the bill owner, which however does not solve the issue of any further charges made during the stay to be routed automatically to the main room. Any charges made to the kids’ room remains in a new bill in the kids’ room.Is there any feature or work-around that perhaps I am overlooking?Thank you very much for your feedback, it will be much appreciated.Paola

Hallo,een klant heeft er ons op attent gemaakt dat de interne nota ook op de peppol factuur staat.Dat kan natuurlijk niet de bedoeling zijn.  Ik heb hiervoor op 22/1/2026 een ticket aangemaakt maar tot nu toe nog geen antwoord op ontvangen.Hoe kunnen we dit asap oplossen aub?Alvast bedankt.Chantal

We have a few guests who come very regularly (like one day a week). When we try to book them for a year, it is a very monotonous process to manually book 45 rooms!Is there a method we’re missing? Thanks

Hello AllI need to prepare my lodging tax return.  This is due every quarter. We are new to MEWS and have been on it for three months. I need the following information (Keyword here is STAYED in):How many room nights stayed in by the guests at the hotel How many of those nights came from OTAs How many reservations were were 7-30 nights stayed in How many reservations were 30+ night stayed in How much revenue from nightly stay within a given period How much revenue from 7-30 nightly stay for a given period How much Revenue from 30+ nightly stay in a given period I have been trying to figure this out from the reservation report, but this is not helping since it pulls data from when the reservation was created, or overlapping etc. It need data for nights that were consumed (for lack of better word) or STAYED in (regardless of when the reservation was created or modified or updated). Taxes are collected when the night is stayed in. Any guidance you can provide would be much appreciated.

Is there a way to automatically mark reservations as paid through SiteMinder and Airbnb on Mews? The reservations are paid through Airbnb and we need the guest balance in Mews to be $0 in order for our Lynx integration to send the guest their door lock code!

Hey community,  We are trying to better track conversion on our website. We are currently use Google analytics GA 4 and i did the setup with this doc: https://mews-systems.gitbook.io/booking-engine-guide/booking-engine-widget/integrations/google-tag-manager but it does not really work.  Did anyone connect Tag with Mews booking engine and GA4 succesfully? Would super nice to understand what i need to do differently.  Best Hendrik

Hallo zusammen,ich habe vor, die Parkgarage als buchbaren Service zu erstellen, damit es übersichtlicher ist, wie viele Parkplätze mir zur Verfügung stehen.Kann bzw. muss ich den Gast während des Aufenthalts einchecken, damit sich das automatisch im Service „Parkgarage“ überträgt?Oder muss ich ihn dort separat eingeben?Was muss ich dabei beachten?Im Moment habe ich Veranstaltungsräume und das Kongresshaus als Service angelegt weil wir das separat benutzen aber läuft über Hauptkasse.   

It is a pain to have to manually update all translations for room rates, products, and room names for each language. There should be a way to auto translate all of this like it does for other parts of the built-in booking engine. Any solutions out there?

Hallo community,unsere HSK Handys haben die App gestern via Microsoft Azure upgadeted.Seitdem sind einige Handy bzw. die App auf spanisch (2von10) obwohl in der MEWS App die Sprache auf deutsch eingestellt ist.Hat von euch jemand das selbe Problem?

Wir haben vor einer Woche von Hs3 auf Mews umgestellt.Wir verwenden im Restaurant eine Vectron Kasse.Jemand einen Tip wie man den Tagesabschluss (Finanzen) automatisieren oder einfach gestalten kann??? Ich finde Die Auswertungen über Mews (aktuell) sehr unübersichtlich und überladen.LG Michael

Guten Tag zusammen, momentan werden unsere POS Umsätze (Gastronovi) in MEWS komplett detailliert übertrage. Der Gast verzehrt ein Schnitzel und 1 Wein und das wird dann auch so an MEWS auf die Gastrechnung gesetzt. Wir möchten dies nur in Restaurant Speisen und Restaurant Getränke ausweisen. Wo kann ich das umstellen? Laut Gastronovi, muss es in MEWS direkt angepasst werden.Danke für die Hilfe Nadine Samoilow

Hey guys,We’ve now managed to start paid reservations on the day of arrival just by completing the online check-in. I really like the check-in process and its smooth integration with the data. However, with OTA guests it’s such a bottleneck because a verification email is sent, and Booking.com’s email service sometimes takes up to 20 minutes to deliver it.How can this be handled better? Is it possible to switch to SMS verification?Has anyone else experienced these issues and found a good solution?Best regards,Hendrik

Bonjour, Il arrive souvent que nous devons changer le nom d’une réservation sans l’annuler. Par contre, l’ancien nom reste visible dans le nom du groupe et en haut à gauche de la réservation. Cela crée de la confusion. Est-ce qu’on peut faire quelque chose?  

Hey everyone! Question for those working with breakfast rate setups on OTAs. We currently use SiteMinder and MEWS direct connect (varies by property) with Booking.com and Expedia, and we offer breakfast-inclusive rates.The challenge we keep running into is that when we change breakfast pricing, we basically have to reload the rates from scratch. Simply updating the product price in MEWS is not an option, since any modifications to previously reservations would overwrite historical pricing and mess up the original breakdown as soon as our guests start the online checkin process. MEWS at the moment doesn't offer the option to block the product posting on previously made reservations which still need to arrive. I’m curious how others have structured their setup? Is there a smarter or more flexible way to set up breakfast rates so breakfast price changes can be applied quickly, ideally within minutes instead of rebuilding everything?Would really appreciate hearing how others handle this!

Hallo Community,wir haben eine (abhängige) Werbeaktionsrate erstellt und möchten diese nun mit korrektem Streichpreis auf der WBE anzeigen lassen. Die Werbeaktionsrate ist Ratengruppe A (Non-Ref) zugeordnet. Die Basisrate dafür ist Ratengruppe B (Flex) zugeordnet und soll als Streichpreis angezeigt werden. Als Streichpreis bedient Mews sich jedoch scheinbar nur aus der selben Ratengruppe. Ich habe bereits versucht eine Dummy-Rate (Kopie der Basisrate) in Ratengruppe A als Fundament für den Streichpreis zu hinterlegen. Diese muss jedoch aktiviert sein, um als Streichpreis angezeigt zu werden. Wenn nun ein Gast ohne Promocode für die Werbeaktionsrate bucht, kann er die Dummy-Rate sehen. Nicht gut. Gibt es noch eine andere Lösung? Vielen Dank und einen guten Start in die Woche! Liebe Grüße, Niclas

Hallo zusammen, ich habe mal wieder eine Frage in die Runde.Hat jemand Erfahrung mit dem „Elternzimmer“? Wie funktioniert das? Was genau ist da eigentlich drin? Auf Mews.com wird das so schlecht erklärt (oder bin ich wirklich zu blöd?). Lohnt es sich, das zu implementieren? Wo kann man das konfigurieren?Ich traue mich irgendwie nicht, das in der Live-Version auszuprobieren. Ich habe bei Mews nachgefragt, ob ich eine Demo bekommen kann, aber die sind ein bisschen geizig, wenn es um Demos geht – keine Ahnung, warum. Bei Fidelio wurde mir immer eine Demo bzw. ein Trainingsprogramm zur Verfügung gestellt, aber bei Mews ist das irgendwie schwerer zu bekommen.
