Hello Community,As there will most likely be a tax change in Germany in 2026, where breakfast food and breakfast beverages will be subject to different VAT rates, and as far as I know, Mews is not currently working on a solution - how do you plan to handle this in Mews for your portfolio?Our current setup uses a single breakfast product added via product rules. With the VAT update, we will be required to create two separate products. However, updating the existing product rules or creating new ones will affect existing reservations and increase the total price. A possible solution could be my feature request to allow setting start and end dates on product rules. We would like to remove specific periods from our quarterly or yearly performance reports in Mews. During those selected periods, our property was closed, which results in artificially low occupancy and revenue figures.Our goal is to view performance without having the closed dates included in the calculations. Is this possible in MEWS?

Hello . I am wondering if an yone has figured out an easy way to create a seasonal discount without using the restrictions. Basically here is an anexample. For 2026, I would like to offer a 10% discount on my standard rate for arrivals Dec 16 to Jan 6 2027. I have another ongoing early booking discount at 30 % on standard rate available all year except for the season Dec 16 to Jan 6 2027.We had it set up for 2025. Became exteremly difficult to manage when I reduced minimum night stay etc.Has anyone figured out an easier way ?Thank you

Ther Restrictions part of Mews is very confusing. I have set up a minimum night stay of 2 nights for a certain period. Suddlenly, on the Mews Booking engine that minimum is not working. Getting one night reservations and losing money. Does anyone know how to fix this ?

Dabei haben wir jedoch folgendes Problem: Wir bieten Zimmer mit der Möglichkeit für Zustellbetten an, verfügen aber nur über eine begrenzte Anzahl dieser Betten – weniger, als es Zimmer gibt, in denen sie theoretisch angeboten werden können. Da Mews leider kein eigenes Inventory-Management für Zustellbetten besitzt, können wir deren Verfügbarkeit aktuell nicht zuverlässig steuern. Gibt es dafür eine Lösung

Moin ​@Mews Community Team ,wird es für die Umstellung der MwSt. Food in D zum 01.01.26 eine Routine geben, die die Posten aller über Silvester im Haus befindlichen Reservierungen aktualisiert, wenn wir die MwSt. in der Silvesternacht für die betreffenden Produkte umstellen?Werden die Posten aller Reservierungen im kommenden Jahr automatisch aktualisiert? Je dois ajouter un repas dans un groupe par personnes mais notre forfait est avec les repas d’inclus mais quand je dois ajouter seulement un repas et si les personnes hébergent pendant EX: du 18 nov au 19 déc il y a 24 déj, 24 diner et 24 souper automatiquement, je dois ajouter juste 1 souper à chaque personnes mais l’ajout est du 18 nov au 19 déc donc 24 souper de plus est-ce qu’il y a un truc juste pour un repas car sinon je dois annuler 23 souper pour arrivé à mais fin . We are new to MEWS - day 4 today. Which report shows a list of guest that have unpaid bills? We collect full payment at check-in, but there are situations where this list/report is needed as shown in example below.For example:Morning front desk receives a request from an in house guest to extend their stay. So they extend the stay. The guest had originally paid by cash. Guest states that they will come by and settle the bill. Now the morning shift front desk is gone at the end of their shift. How do I as owner or next shift person know which bills/guests owe money that need to be collected? We are a large property - so going guest, by guest is NOT a solution for us. Second Example:What if a guest is checked out with a balance. How do I track those guests that ower the hotel money?

Hello - are we the only one experiencing a total black out on mews and mews events?It says internal Server Error - but the Mews Status Website says all systems operational .. -Danja 

How do I create a restriction OR policy where by the MEWS system automatically closes my discounted rates once occupancy reaches a certain threshold. For instance, if I want my winter special rate to be automatically turned off when my occupancy reaches 60%. How do I that? The key is that it has to be automated within MEWS. I don’t want to have to go through the rates and mark them private.

Bonjour à tous,J’ai configuré mes e-mails de check-in en ligne, rappels, confirmations etc… Ceci pour essayer que les enregistrements en ligne soient maximisés. Mais j’ai l’impression que les clients provenant du channel manager et de Booking.com en l’occurrence, ne reçoivent jamais ses e-mails automatiques. En tout cas le taux de réponse est tellement faible de leur part que c’est ce que je crois. Avez-vous la même expérience, ou comment faites-vous pour demander à vos clients booking de s’enregistrer en ligne via le Mews Guest Portal ? Merci d’avance, Jonas

We have a Self check in Kiosk from the MEWS at our property.The question we have for the Mews Community is if a guest trying to do a self check in, the check in kiosk will bring the guest to the payment page to pay for the room. The question we have is what an if the guest has prepaid the reservation and we already have received the virtual card for the payment or in another scenario the guest card is already been pre authorized by the system.So in any of those situation the guest might end up paying twice, does anyone have any idea how to make it go through with out ending up charging the guest twice? Also we do take the credit card for incidental if the reservation is prepaid will the kiosk ask for a credit card for incidental by itself? If anyone using the kiosk can help us with our question please let us know about it or if needed more information on our question do let us know as well. Thank you!

Hallo zusammen, ich habe mal wieder eine Frage.Ist es möglich, eine Garage als Raum zu erstellen? Wenn ja, wie genau muss das eingegeben werden? Mein Ziel ist es, dass ein Gast, der einen Parkplatz oder eine Garage gebucht hat, auch Zugang zu dieser bekommt, wenn er eincheckt.Bisher habe ich das immer über Salto separat gemacht, aber kann man das auch direkt über Mews abwickeln? Ich hatte mir vorgestellt, einen Raum zu erstellen, den Aufenthalttyp auf "Parkplatz" zu setzen und die Kapazität beispielsweise auf 20 festzulegen.Macht jemand das überhaupt ? Wie habt ihr Garage gelöst ( schranke / tore usw ) 

Hello!  I would like to make it a bit more difficult for our receptionists to mark rooms as “inspected.” Occasionally, housekeeping is still cleaning when guests want to check in. This means that rooms are sometimes marked as “clean” but haven’t been inspected yet. In such cases, our reception colleagues should consult the housekeeping manager or check the room themselves before marking it as inspected.Currently, when checking in a guest, a box appears with the option “mark as inspected,”. We have noticed that some receptionists then mark these rooms through there as inspected, without actually checking the room. This creates confusion for both housekeeping and reception.Please note: I don’t want to prevent them from inspecting rooms and marking them as such in the system. I just want it to be less easy and not doable with a single click.
