City Ledger/Rechnungsverfolgung aktiviert in MEWS- nun stimmen die Datev Exporte nicht mehr

Hallo zusammen,wir haben seit kurzem City Ledger aktiviert und da man das dafür ja muss → Rechnungsverfolgung aktiviert. In MEWS auf Ops Seite sind wir sehr zufrieden damit, jedoch stimmt unser Datev Export jetzt nicht mehr und es kommt hier zu “Doppelbuchungen”.Das Team City Ledger bei MEWS was uns eigentlich angeboten hatte uns hier zu begleiten reagiert nun nicht auf unser Problem.Hat jemand von Euch Erfahrungen und kann uns helfen?Vielen Dank.Liebe GrüßeSabrinaEmiLu

Stornierungen

Hey,mir ist kürzlich aufgefallen, dass wir gar keine Stornobestätigungsmail von mews erhalten, wenn eine Buchung z.B. über booking.com storniert wurde. Die Buchung verschwindet einfach aus dem Kalender.Nach Rückfrage an den Support habe ich folgende Info bekommen:After investigating your case, Mews sends the Cancellation email only for reservations made via Mews Operations or the Mews Booking Engine. Wie handhabt ihr das? Man muss ja irgendwo nachvollziehen können, wann etwas storniert wurde, damit man entsprechend reagieren und ggf. Stornogebühren berechnen kann.VG,Dennis

Systemaussetzer?

Wir haben im Moment so ein paar Vorkommnisse im System, bei denen ich nicht weiß, ob die Mitarbeiter auf einmal Fehler machen oder ob es an Systemausfällen/-fehlern liegt.  Gestern hat eine Kollegin versucht, Frühstück zu einer Buchung hinzuzufügen, bekam aber eine Fehlermeldung. Daraufhin hat sie es noch einmal hinzugefügt, und danach kontrolliert ob es auch wirklich nur einmal hinzugefügt wurde, laut ihrer Aussage (und ich glaube ihr, sie ist keine die Blödsinn erzählt um sich rauszureden) war es auch wirklich nur einmal in den Produkten. Heute morgen standen diverse Gäste aber doppelt mit Frühstück im System.  Dann hatten wir heute einen Fall, wo auf einmal das Abreisedatum geändert war ohne dass die Kollegin (bei ihr weiß ich nun aber nicht sicher, ob sie nicht eine Ausrede nutzt um einen eigenen Fehler zu vertuschen) etwas gemacht hat. Da sich so etwas in den letzten Tagen häuft und ich fürchte, es wird zu schnell etwas auf “System hängt gerade” geschoben wird, wollte ich generell

Changing VAT for Bookable Services

Hello,Does anyone know how we can change the VAT rate for the "Day/Night" product in a Bookable Service?Currently, we have two bookable services: a "stay" service and a "meeting" service.Room accommodation should be taxed at 7% VAT, while meeting room rental should be taxed at 19% VAT.However, both are currently set to 7%, and I haven't been able to find where to change this. Any help would be appreciated.Thank you!

Booking.com blocking emails - Before start Online check-in

Is anyone else facing problems with sending before start/before start reminders to booking.com guest?We are pushing very hard to get our guest so check-in online, however I see that booking.com is not accually forwarding these emails to the guest. In MEWS it shows as sendt.  I have tried to make a booking myself at booking.com and it is not working. I tried to remove the Sigin box, in the email templets, with just a link however it is still not working. Funny thing is that when I send the bill it has acually worked.  Does anyone know how to fix this?

Hello dear Mews Community! We have changed our tax advisor. Until now, we worked with a physical folder, and 7 pages of the Mews accounting report were manually recorded. Now, we are transitioning to a digital exchange with a digitally equipped tax advisor. Are there any comparable hotels that digitally transfer their Mews accounting reports to their tax advisor? If so, what experiences have you had, and how do you work with Excel exports or connections from Mews to DATEV Unternehmen Online via OmniBoost? I would appreciate specific feedback. Looking forward to your insights!

Booking engine does not change number of guests

Hi, Today a guest pointed out that our booking module does not save the guest changes. So when you first select a date range with 2 adults and then view the rooms and select a room and add a child it does not save it and the booking is made only for 2 adults.  I made a screen recording wish might explain it more clearly:

Aktuelle Abrechnungsprobleme über Stripe Terminals

Hallo zusammen,wir haben gerade ganz akut das Problem dass EC Kartenzahlungen am Stripe Terminal als “genehmigt” angezeigt werden, und der Gast uns auch einen Abbuchungsbeleg von seiner Bank zeigen kann, die Zahlung jedoch nicht in MEWS eingespielt wird und hier die Fehlermeldung “Maestro wird nicht akzeptiert, bitte versuche es mit einer anderen Kartenart”. Somit wird wohl auch kein Geldeingang vorhanden sein.Habt ihr gerade auch die Probleme?Wir haben bereits ein Supportticket eröffnet, bisher gab es noch keine Lösungsansätze dazu.Kreditkarten scheinen zu funktionieren und online Abrechnungen auch. Danke für Euren Input, oder Upvote, wenn ihr auch die Probleme habt.Und by the way, mit Adyen hatten wir so gut wie nie Probleme, seitdem wir Stripe haben zickt die Abrechnung öfters. Digital Key problems, Vostio

Is anyone working with the combination MEWS - Booking.com - Vostio Digital Key?We've been experiencing issues from the very beginning, and so far, no one seems able to provide a solid solution.When a guest makes a reservation through Booking.com, they automatically receive a message from MEWS prompting them to check in online and create a digital key. Most guests are able to complete the online check-in, but then they don’t see the option to generate a digital key. In cases where guests do manage to create the key, it often doesn’t work upon arrival.In general, we’re also having ongoing issues with the functionality of the digital keys. The doors don’t open on the first attempts, and after multiple tries, it might eventually work.Is there anyone else who has experienced similar issues or has found a reliable way to resolve them?

Moin, kurze Frage in die Runde: Unser Steuerberater benutzt kein Datev, daher benötigt er die historischen Monatsangaben in Form von Exportfiles. Bevor wir jetzt sämtliche Filterstellungen durchgehen und testen….welche Reports nutzt ihr und vor allem mit welchen Filterstellungen? Gibt es vielleicht bereits eine best practice für die Bereitstellungen von Daten für Steuerberater?

Can anyone clarify whether revenue from availability blocks is reflected in Mews Manager Analytics, particularly in cases where none of the blocked availability has been picked up? I had understood that it wouldn’t be included until converted into actual bookings, but I’ve noticed no revenue increase even after the block was released and the spaces were booked.

Facture détaillée pour les clients

Bonjour,Côté facturation, les compagnies qui réservent pour leurs employés nous demandent parfois une facture avec le détail des tarifs journaliers. Sur les factures actuelles, nous voyons seulement le total du séjour condensé.La seule solution que j’ai trouvé pour voir le détail, c’est d’aller décocher l’option ‘’Facturer comme un package’’ dans les options du séjour. Ça fonctionne bien pour les compagnies qui ont seulement des frais de chambre. Par contre, en décochant cette option, on voit la ventilation de tous les produits forfait lorsque la personne est en forfait, même si ces produits sont activés en tant que package. Nous ne pouvons donc pas garder l’option de package inactive.Est-il possible d’avoir un type de facture avec la section ‘’Séjour’’ pour les tarifs journaliers ainsi que le total des produits forfaits condensés dans une section ‘’Produits du séjour’’, par exemple?

Hello community, does anyone have experience sharing the check-in URL? We need to send through a MEWS partner and also manually the URL that MEWS generates for each guest to iniciate the online check-in process.Also, I take this opportunity to ask if this is feasible, maybe MEWS has not developed this possibility yet or prohibits it for some reason. Any information on this topic, will be appreciated. Regards, Nicolas.

Limitations with Mews CHM: 'Once' Charged Products

Hello Community,Are you also experiencing issues with Mews not being able to send products with the charging type set to “once” in your channel manager connection?We sometimes offer packages that include products meant to be charged only once, but we’re unable to transmit these through the CHM connection.Additionally, since our CRS only allows us to send full ARI (Availability, Rates, Inventory) - and not partial data - we can’t let partners set prices on their side while we only send availability and inventory.This limitation is significantly restricting our ability to participate in certain campaigns. Has anyone else encountered the same challenge and found a feasible solution or workaround within Mews? Thanks in advance!

Hallo zusammen,wir bereiten aktuell die gesetzlich vorgeschriebene Meldung unseres Kassensystems gemäß § 146a der Abgabenordnung (Meldepflicht bis 31.07.2025) vor. Folgende Informationen werden benötigt: Hersteller und genaue Bezeichnung des Kassensystems Seriennummer des Systems (sofern vorhanden) Zertifizierungsnummer der eingesetzten TSE beim BSI Art der TSE (z. B. Cloud) Seriennummer / 64-stelliger Hashwert der TSE Datum der Inbetriebnahme  Leider habe ich auf meine Anfrage an den MEWS Support bisher keine Rückmeldung erhalten. Daher meine Fragen an euch: Hat jemand von euch bereits eine Antwort vom MEWS Support erhalten? Konntet ihr die benötigten Daten evtl. selbst im System finden? Wo war diese zu finden?  Ich freue mich auf eure Rückmeldungen. Liebe GrüßeAndreas

Adjust rates based on occupancy with optional availability blocks

Hello!I´m encountering the following problem. Most of our rates are linked to our Rack rate, hence it is the one I adjust based on occupancy. For this I usually use the occupancy chart which is directly available within the rate, for convinience purposes and to avoid having to switch between several windows.However, we do also work quite a lot with availability blocks for our group requests, also using the “optional/tentative” option for these groups. Hence, it does happen that certain room categories have a very low availability, because optional groups take over the capacity, however the occupancy shown in the rate window is still low because the group is optional and not definite. Would it be possible to include a tab in the rate window, that you can decide whether or not it shows the occupancy including optional bookings? This would be very helpful for us!Or did anyone else find a better solution? As said, we want to avoid have to constantly switch between windows.Thanks a lot!Joan

Pricing on mews

Hi everybody,I might need your help again with rate management — maybe there's a workaround I’m not aware of.🛏️ For example:We usually charge an additional €100 per night for a suite.In high season, this increases to €200 per night.📅 Current issue:Right now, I have to update this manually every day, because: The €100 is set as an add-on linked to the room category, while The €200 needs to be manually adjusted in the daily rate during the high season. 🤔 My question:Is there a way to apply the €200 add-on only for a specific time frame,without affecting the original €100 setup for other dates?Any tips or workarounds would be greatly appreciated!Thanks in advance 🙏
