How do you "rooms for single usage"?

The rate management in Mews is a bit shallow. Especially the pricing options for special occupancy (children or single person in double room) is really lacking some serious adjustability.We use rates for single usage rooms and had to compromise the way we handle children by quite a bit. The problem with rates is that the restrictions are (also) not powerful enough to handle that so in third parties these rates are just available  so its possible to book a single person rate even though there are multiple guests in the reservation.My question is: How do you manage these cases? Is there anything planned to revamp this lacking features?

Housekeeping Team has full rights to view Manager Reports, finance,... ?

Good Day.When my housekeeping team members log into their accounts on a PC (not in the mobile APP), they can browse through all manager reports, financial details etc.Yes, I double checked if the rights setting is made for “Housekeeping only”.Just that one box is checked.Any idea why that is possible ?have a great day.Carsten

No email sending to guest for OTA bookings

Recently we have setup the Mews app with Mail templates sending to guest automatically.  It was all good for Direct booking through booking engine.  However, for those OTA bookings (such as Booking.com), the guest never receive any email setup on Mews (including confirmation email and online checkin etc).  We can confirm the integration is fine (Bookings and rate are synchronized).  We also enabled the option of “Send confirmation email to channel reservations”.  Appreciate your advice what is missing for the OTA bookings.

Hallo zusammen,wir bereiten aktuell die gesetzlich vorgeschriebene Meldung unseres Kassensystems gemäß § 146a der Abgabenordnung (Meldepflicht bis 31.07.2025) vor. Folgende Informationen werden benötigt: Hersteller und genaue Bezeichnung des Kassensystems Seriennummer des Systems (sofern vorhanden) Zertifizierungsnummer der eingesetzten TSE beim BSI Art der TSE (z. B. Cloud) Seriennummer / 64-stelliger Hashwert der TSE Datum der Inbetriebnahme  Leider habe ich auf meine Anfrage an den MEWS Support bisher keine Rückmeldung erhalten. Daher meine Fragen an euch: Hat jemand von euch bereits eine Antwort vom MEWS Support erhalten? Send confirmation emails only for direct bookings

Hello everyone,I’m looking to configure Mews so that confirmation emails are only sent for direct bookings (Website) and not for OTA bookings via Booking.com. Out of the box, Mews sends a confirmation email for every new reservation, regardless of the channel. Right?Questions: Has anyone implemented a similar setup? Are there any official best practices or Mews-recommended workarounds to truly filter confirmation emails by channel? Thanks in advance for your insights! Best regards,Julius Backes

Booking.com blocking emails - Before start Online check-in

Is anyone else facing problems with sending before start/before start reminders to booking.com guest?We are pushing very hard to get our guest so check-in online, however I see that booking.com is not accually forwarding these emails to the guest. In MEWS it shows as sendt.  I have tried to make a booking myself at booking.com and it is not working. I tried to remove the Sigin box, in the email templets, with just a link however it is still not working. Funny thing is that when I send the bill it has acually worked.  Does anyone know how to fix this?

City Ledger/Rechnungsverfolgung aktiviert in MEWS- nun stimmen die Datev Exporte nicht mehr

Hallo zusammen,wir haben seit kurzem City Ledger aktiviert und da man das dafür ja muss → Rechnungsverfolgung aktiviert. In MEWS auf Ops Seite sind wir sehr zufrieden damit, jedoch stimmt unser Datev Export jetzt nicht mehr und es kommt hier zu “Doppelbuchungen”.Das Team City Ledger bei MEWS was uns eigentlich angeboten hatte uns hier zu begleiten reagiert nun nicht auf unser Problem.Hat jemand von Euch Erfahrungen und kann uns helfen?Vielen Dank.Liebe GrüßeSabrinaEmiLu

Booking.com integration Outages

I have the feeling there are many outages with the booking.com integration lately, but we only “know” it as soon as a guest calls to let us know they still have not received their key codes. Is there a way to get a warning if the integration has a failure so we can manually pull the reservations before we get a notification from the guests? To avoid overbookings it would be super important to realize an outage ASAP

Secured Link for Credit Card Details

Can I send a customer a link via Mews that he can provide his credit card details in a secured way?Such as at online check in, but it does not make any sense to send a customer a request for online check in if his stay will only be in some months… Most guests don’t want to provide their credit card details by phone, mail or so and we don’t want to implement another system because Mews seems to be able to provide such a link. It would just be great to have it already before. I also tried to figure out a way that the guest is asked when confirming an offer with the {signIn} - but I didn’t manage.

Uebersetzungen von Mail Templates - 5 Stunden im Ernst ?

Guten TagHabe heute gemerkt, dass ich eine Unmenge an Zeit investieren muss, um bereits existierende Mail Templates zu ändern. Jedes Mal wenn eine Sprache geändert wird, erhält man von Mews eine Nachricht UND eine e-mail dass etwas geändert wurde und man 1 Stunde Zeit hat die Aenderung zu verwerfen.So weit so gutDanach möchte ich weitere Sprachen auch ändern. Da wir unsere Gäste in Ihrer Sprache anreden möchten, bewirtschaften wir aktiv 6 Sprachen in Mews.Es dauert aber nun mehr als 5 Stunden (mann muss ja mindenstens 1 Stunde warten), man könnte die Aenderung verwerfen, um kleinigkeiten zu ändernHabt Ihr eine bessere Idee um bestehende Mail Templates schneller zu bewirtschaften ?Danke für Eure Unterstützung und freundliche Grüsse Roland

falsche Zimmerkategorie auf Bestätigung

Edit: die erste, direkt aus dem Buchungsvorgang geschickte Bestätigung ist mit der angefragten Kategorie. Schickt man aber später eine weitere Bestätigung (warum auch immer), steht die höhere kategorie in der neuen Bestätigung. Sie reply weiter unten.Moin.Gäste buchen telefonisch/email eine bestimmte Kategorie.Ich buche sie unter der gewünschten Kategorie ein, da die Kategorie aber wissentlich ausgebucht ist, schiebe ich sie in die nächst höhere Kategorie.Der Gast bekommt aber in der Bestätigung die höhere Kategorie bestätigt und beruft sich später darauf.Meine Idee war ja, den Gast erstmal sicher zu haben (z.B. Stammgäste, die immer nur in Economykategorie buchen, eigene Rate haben odgl.)Wenn jetzt zwischenzeitlich wieder in der Economy Stornos reinkommen, schiebe ich sie wieder runter um die bessere Kategorie frei zu haben für Gäste die mehr zahlen, bzw. der Gast hatte reines EZ gebucht und ich schiebe ihn erst in DZalsEZ und später fehlt mir das DZ, weil der Gast nun auf sein  in de

For direct bookings, we ask for the credit card number, and during online check-in, the guest must confirm their credit card. When booking online, the guest enters their credit card number and must immediately verify it.Until about 10 days ago, we had to ask approximately 15% of our guests to verify their credit card because they hadn't done so yet. However, in recent days, we've encountered issues with about 70% of our reservations when attempting to perform pre-authorizations. MEWS POS UMSATZ INKL TRINKGELDER IM MANAGERBERICHT

Hallo Zusammen, bei uns werden leider die Restaurant-Umsätze aus MEWS POS im Managerbericht inkl. des Trinkgelds angezeigt.Im Mews POS wird es korrekt angezeigt aber Sinn der Sache des MEWS POS war für uns vor allem ein einheitliches Berichtswesen. Hat jemand von Euch ähnliche Erfahrungen?Generell finde ich das Thema Trinkgeld sehr schlecht im POS umgesetzt. Habt ihr hier vlt. bereits einen Workaround gefunden oder bucht ihr Tip auch am Ende der Schicht vom Barumsatz manuell aus als Korrektur?Zusatzfrage: hat jemand eine Kasse die die Zahlen sauber überträgt ins PMS? Wir waren vorher bei Gastronovi und hatten auch teilweise Differenzen. Viele Grüße Felix

How to apply automatic payment policies only for direct bookings?

Hi everyone, We’ve configured payment policies in Mews for our main rate groups (“Non-Refundable,” “Best Available Rate,” and “Long Stay”) to automatically charge the guest’s credit card at the time of booking confirmation (mode: automatic, timing: confirmation, method: charge from payment card). This setup was mainly intended for direct bookings on our website, where we also want to enable alternative payment methods. However, we’ve recently noticed that these automatic policies are also being applied to channel manager bookings (e.g., via Booking.com), which is causing issues. For every channel booking, we now receive an “Action required – failed to charge card” message, as we prefer to handle these payments manually. I have two questions regarding best practices: Rate groups vs. payment policies – Does it make sense to create separate rate groups for direct bookings and channel manager bookings (e.g., separate BAR, BAR 7 nights, NRF rates) to apply different payment policies? – Or i

Guten Morgen, gibt es hier in der Community jemanden der Duetto in Kombi mit MEWS erfolgreich verwendet? Gibt es Tools die mit MEWS nicht funktionieren? (oft stellt sich das ja erst nach Integration raus)Hauptsächlich geht es mir um die Automatisierung. Das Restriktionen setzten. Und um die Möglichkeit in Duetto Raten mit verschiedenen Abschlägen einzustellen über eine Restriktion (z.B. die Frühbucherrate). Why are rooms that are dirty automatically changing to clean

For the last couple mornings my head housekeeper has noticed that all stays are automatically being changed to clean, but they should be dirty so she has to manually change them to dirty? does anyone have a fix for this ?

Promo Voucher Not working

Hello, Does anyone know how to get a voucher working. I ahve three properties and have set the voucher up exactly the same on all 3 sites, but one site just won’t work.I have followed all the steps, set up the rate, created the voucher etc, but one site just won’t show the rate online when I put in the promo code.The rate can be booked internally - it just doesn’t show online

Moin zusammen,ich bin auf der Suche nach einem Bericht, der mir das Verhältnis der wiederkehrenden Gäste zur Belegung zeigt.Ich möchte dabei die Anzahl RN in einem Zeitraum im Verhältnis zur Gesamtbelegung. Hintergrund: Wir wollen herausfinden, in wie weit ein Goodie-Programm für Wiederkehrer sinnvoll ist.Was ich finde, sind Zahlen zu den Personen über die Gästestatistik, übrigens auch, wenn ich dort Nächte (!?) filtere,oder über den Reservierungsbericht die einzelnen Reservierungen, allerdings müsste man die manuell zählen und müsste zudem über die Aufenthaltsdauer die RN dazu ausrechnen. Das kann es nicht sein, aber ich werde nicht fündig.Hat jemand eine Idee? Viele GrüßeLeif
