Dear Mews-ers, Could anyone please outline the basics (maybe relevant pages) in how to set up a promo? I’m basically thinking something like: room type B ; if 3 nights = 15% discount ; add an extraonly bookable direct (via Mews booking engine)Thanks!

Hi everyone,We’re setting up a recurring group booking workflow and I’d love some advice on the best way to handle communication settings.Every week we host the same tour group that: Stays for 3 nights Sends us a rooming list a few weeks in advance Arrives by bus and checks in with ID at reception Already has everything prepaid by the tour company The challenge: We don’t want each individual guest to receive confirmation, pre-arrival, or check-in emails. They don’t need communication from us, they just show up, stay, and leave. We also don’t want the tour company (payer) to receive 20+ confirmation and check-out emails every week. One invoice and one confirmation is enough. Has anyone found a clean way in MEWS to set this up efficiently? Do you: Leave guest emails blank? Use a “dummy” email for the payer profile? Or is there a smarter way to suppress automated emails for certain groups/rates? Any tips from other properties or confirmation on best practices would be super he

Ich würde jedoch gerne wissen, wie die Zahlen in diesem Berichtsformat konkret entstehen und weiss nicht wie ich das anstellen soll - soll ich über den Buchhaltungsbericht gehen und dort mit Anzahlung Positiv und Negativ arbeiten? Hallo Zusammen, Wir haben heute Morgen festgestellt, dass es aktuell nicht mehr möglich ist, bei Produkten eine Vorausbuchungsfrist zu hinterlegen.Für uns ist das jedoch relevant – beispielsweise können unsere Gäste einen Blumenstrauß nur mit mindestens 3 Tagen Vorlauf buchen, da wir die Blumen erst bestellen müssen.Hat jemand von euch ähnliche Erfahrungen gemacht?Gab es hierzu eventuell ein Update, oder kennt ihr einen guten Workaround?Vielen Dank vorab für eure Unterstützung!LG Liv

Hallo zusammen,ich hätte noch eine kurze Rückfrage zum Kasseneinrichtungsprotokoll.Wir arbeiten mit Mews PMS und Mews POS. Beide Systeme verfügen über eine eigene TSE-Nummer – bedeutet das, dass ich beide Kassen separat melden muss?Etwas unsicher bin ich außerdem beim POS: dort finde ich zum Beispiel keine Client-ID.Vielleicht hat ja jemand von euch dazu schon Erfahrungen gemacht und kann mir weiterhelfen.Vielen Dank vorab!Viele GrüßeDanja

Hi everyone,I’ve been trying for some time to find a way to issue partial invoices in MEWS.For example: when we have a wedding at our venue, we send an invoice one month in advance for a 50% prepayment of the total amount.At the moment, I do this by sending a pro forma invoice with a note stating that it is a 50% partial invoice. Once the payment is received, I process it as an external payment and then issue the final invoice with the correct amount, so that the payment is properly recorded in the system.To me, it seems only logical that there should be an option to create a partial invoice for a specific amount.Does anyone know if this is possible in MEWS?

Ich bin seit Ende Juli live, habe aber das Problem wenn ich Restriktionen für den Channelmanger eingebe dass diese nicht übernommen werden. Jetzt bin ich in Zeiten wo wir Kapazität haben auf Bookin.com und Expedia als nicht buchbar gemeldet und die Geblockten Zeiträume für 2026 die geschlossen sein sollten, sind alle buchbar.   

Bei einer Betriebprüfung wird nach den  GOBD Daten gefragt, viele Softwares bieten einen Button an mittels dem man die Daten exportieren kann. Wie komme ich denn bei MEWS an diese Daten ran? Bisher habe ich nur rausgefunden, dass MEWS GOBD-konform arbeitet aber welche alternativen Exporte iN MEWS kann man machen, um dem Finanzamt gerecht zu werden. Sicher hatte schon das ein oder andere Hotel eine Betriebsprüfung unter MEWS ?

I am writing to you regarding a few issues we’ve recently encountered on Mews. First of all, when Mews Kiosk prompts us to enter email addresses, there are instances where, for various reasons, the email entered does not get saved under the client's profile in the "Email address" field, but instead appears in the "Internal Notes" section.This is a major issue for us, as it replaces existing client notes with the email address, permanently erasing important information. These notes often contain details about returning guests, their preferences, habits, or dislikes, that are crucial to personalizing their experience. We would like to recover these notes, as well as any other client notes that were lost and never restored due to this issue. Additionally, our Head Housekeeper informed us that some rooms were missing from the turndown service report. 

Hallo zusammen,wir verwenden den Mews Kiosk und sind insgesamt zufrieden damit. Nun hatten wir kürzlich wieder einen Gast, der sich selbst eingecheckt hat und dann einfach abgehauen ist. Wir wollen das in Zukunft unterbinden, in dem der Gast nur einchecken kann, wenn er auch bezahlt hat. Hierzu würden wir das Payment Terminal am Kiosk anbringen. Nun stellen sich 2 Fragen:Kann man irgendwo einstellen, dass Kleinstbeträge (z.B. nur die Kurtaxe) ignoriert wird? Wenn jemand über einen OTA gebucht hat und dort schon bezahlt hat, wir aber die VCC noch nicht belastet haben, dann soll die Regelung natürlich nicht gelten und der Gast soll trotzdem einchecken können. Hallo zusammen!Hat jemand eine Idee, wie ich es hinbekommen kann, dass Gäste, die über unsere Website gebucht und per Paypal bezahlt haben, nicht diese Mail bekommen, dass keine Zahlkarte verknüpft ist? Kann man diese Mail ausstellen? ich finde nur, wo ich die anderen Mails deaktivieren kann, aber diese Mail ist nicht dabei.Ich bekomme immer wieder Anrufe von Gästen, die fragen, warum sie trotz Paypal-Zahlung eine Kreditkarte angeben sollen. Viele haben Bedenken, dass ihre Buchung jetzt nicht akzeptiert wird.Leider wird die Paypal-Zahlung in Mews ja auch nicht als Zahlung direkt mitverbucht, wie das bei der Kreditkarte der Fall ist. Ich hoffe, das kommt noch in nächster Zeit.Wie geht ihr damit um? Gibt es einen “Workaround”?Viele GrüßeHeike

HI All,Trying to figure out the best solution for handling deposit invoicing (tax to be accounted on time of payment) and how to follow up on the payments. The Deposit invoices are always paid with bank transfer, not credit cards. Does anyone have good advises from Finland how you are handling these?Love to hear some ideas how to go around these!

Mews  rolled back an earier update in regards to rate update. (For a few days we were able to enjoy a hassle free rate management tool again). Well, now they are back with the same, click all the way, time sonsuming rate updates. Again, instead of being able to simply click on a date and right away overwrite the rate, press enter, save and automatically jump on the next date and repeat the prosess, they introduce a clicking nightmare. Just listen to what the crowed is asking and don’t fix what does not need fixing. you are making everyones life hearder.  

Hallo zusammen, arbeite jemand von euch mit Run of House? Ist das in Mews umsetzbar, z.B. wenn man eine eigene Zimmerkategorie dafür anlegt? oder gibt es die Möglichkeit die Zimmerzuteilungsregeln ausser Kraft zu setzen? Danke für eure Anregungen und Impulse.

Hello everyone, hope you are doing well!Is there a handy solution for the following situations?1. Scenario:The occupancy of a double room changes during the stay. For example: Night 1 → only 1 pax From Night 2 onwards → a second person joins The room rate stays the same, but: Breakfast is linked to the number of guests. This means that either one breakfast is “too many” for the first night, or one breakfast is missing for the second night. Of course, we can manually add breakfast items on the invoice in advance, but then: The posting date is incorrect The product is not reflected in the breakfast report The pax count for the second night still shows only 1 Creating a second reservation is also an option, but then FO and HSK would both need tasks set for “stayover” handling.👉 Question: Is / will there be a function to define the number of guests per day within one reservation? Hi!Before I mess around in our demo, maybe someone can give me a quick hint? (The help.mews.com docu is not helpful about this)So, when I change an existing service product (not additional service) in settings, will that affect instances of the same product that have been added to reservations/bills in the past (for future reservations)? Wir haben gekündigt bei mews. Eine Abrechnung haben wir nie erhalten   Jetzt bietet uns omnieboost an für 1000 Euro eine  Übersicht zu kaufen. Auch, obwohl wir seit 3 Monaten in einem anderen System sind , zieht uns mews immer noch Gelder  über die virtuelle Karte ab. Geld fließt aber nicht mehr an uns. Das ist schon wirklich höchst kriminell. Ansprechpartner haben wir keine , da wir ja gekündigt haben. 

Habt ihr das auch? Bei uns ändert sich der Raumstatus von allen Zimmern übern Nacht auf “Out of Service”, ohne dass wir dies so eingestellt haben. Ich habe bisher bei Mews keinen vernünftigen Mealplan für Frühstück oder HP gefunden.Ich kann mir zwar anzeigen lassen, wie viele Mahlzeiten ich verkauft habe, dass dann aber ohne Zimmernummer oder Namen.Wie löst ihr das Problem?

We updated all our guest email templates yesterday. We first deleted all the old ones and then created new ones. Everything looks good and polished in MEWS. When I send a test email to myself, the confirmation is messed up and contains several errors. Are other users experiencing this issue?

Guten Morgen, eine Frage an die Community, bevor ich an den Support schreibe ;)Wir haben unsere Frühstückspreise angepasst. D.h. ich habe auch ein neues Produkt angelegt, und entsprechend über die Produktregel neu verlinkt. Das alte Frühstück existiert weiterhin, da ja noch Reservierungen OTB mit dem alten Preis sind.Nun ist es aber so, wenn die Rezeption Änderungen in einer ‘alten’ Reservierung vornimmt das System automatisch das neue Frühstück einmal mit aufbucht.  somit ist es dann doppelt eingebucht. Einmal das Alte und einmal das neue Frühstück. Wisst Ihr woran das liegt? Wir hatten das Frühstück schonmal umgestellt und da gab es diese Probleme nicht. LGNina
