Hi all,I’m looking at the Bill management settings (screenshot attached). There’s an option “Allow modifying closed bills” which can be toggled on/off.My question is:If this option is turned off, does it apply universally to all users including Admins, or do certain roles (like Admin or higher-privileged roles) still retain the ability to edit closed invoices regardless of this setting?I’d like to clarify whether this is a strict platform-wide restriction, or if Admins can override it.Thanks in advance for any clarification!

Hello everyone,I am having a problem with automatic reminder emails for optional reservations in MEWS. Here is the context:An agency made an optional reservation for a customer.The customer received the automatic optional reservation reminder email, which allowed them to see the price of their reservation and cancel it themselves via the Mews Guest Portal link, which is something we definitely do not want.According to MEWS documentation:The recipient of the email is always the owner of the reservation (the main guest), and if the main guest's email address is not provided, the email is sent to the organizer (the agency).In our case, our policy is to record all customer emails as soon as we receive them, so the problem occurs systematically for agency customers and certain groups.The automatic reminder email is very useful for tracking reservations, but we would like to limit its sending to certain types of customers, for example:-Travel agency customers-Group reservationsTo date, there

Hello 👋,Our hotels use availability blocks and booking engine links primarily for groups and special events.Is there a way to specify custom terms and conditions for each block?I noticed that during the booking process there is only a link to the general terms & conditions, which in the case of blocks are likely not fully applicable.I also cannot find any option to add visible notes, special terms & conditions, etc.

I’m looking to set this up properly so we can automate updates and reboots and keep the devices stable.What I’m trying to achieve Remote weekly restart (soft reset). App updates for the Mews Kiosk. IOS updates in a fixed night window. Keep the iPads locked in Single App Mode so guests can’t switch apps after the update. Hallo zusammen,mit der Änderung der Mwst. im Januar steht auch wieder ein Split u.a. beim Frühstücksprodukt auf rein Speisen und Getränke an. Damals gab es noch keine schöne Lösung, sondern zwei einzelne Produkte, welche unsere Mitarbeiter oft verwirrt hat. We would like to set up payment automations so that virtual cards are charged automatically. For bookings where we know that the rate code is 100% virtual cards, this works fine. However, we also receive some bookings (e.g. from Conforma via the travel agency Egencia) where sometimes a virtual card is used, and sometimes not. My question is: is it possible to configure Mews so that the system can recognize virtual cards regardless of the rate code?

Hi, I need to overbook my property over a couple of dates. Specifically, I need to add additional inventory to a group block over sold out dates, and the system will not let me do so. How do I get around this?

Wir haben gemerkt, dass bei Direktbuchungen über Mews Booking Engine, die Produkte am Ende und dann bei uns im Hotel, nicht Addiert werden.Wärend dem Buchungsprozess ist alles OK, Preise sehen alle OK aus, im letzten Schritt, nachdem die KreditKarte eingegeben wurde und die Bestätigung gesendet wird, bleibt auf der Bestätigung nur der ZimmerPreis übrig. Alle Produkte welche wir automatisch dazu rechnen (in unserem Fall Kurtaxen und Frühstück), werden nicht bestätigt, und in Mews Commander kommen die Reservationen ohne Produkte an.Ich habe es gemerkt, weil mir die Preise irgendwie zu tief schienen und selber eine TestReservierzung durchgeführt habe.Habe schon Mews Help Kontaktiert, habe eine case number, aber normalerweise dauern diese Sachen 2-3 Tage.Hat jemand von euch auch dieses Problem ?Nur über booking engine. Die letzte korrekte Reservierung war heute Nachmittag um 15:20 Uhr

Is there an easy way to duplicate e-mail templates from one service to another? Or just manually updating each version is the way to go at the moment? Hint : this might be a nice upgrade (with 3 services, I have 3 templates to udpate, in 2 languages...)

Hello!We can charge virtual cards from Expedia for prepaid/nonrefundable reservations starting immediately after the booking has been created.we have set up payment policy for automatic charging accordingly. Until approx. 20.8.2024 that worked perfectly well, the virtual cards have been charged automatically. We did not change anything since than and now payments are automatically scheduled for the day of checkin instead of right away. According to mews help that is the case when the channel manager (in our case D-Edge) does not send CC activation date information. D-Edge says they never did… do I guess Mews changed the behavior sometime in August 2024. ​@Mews Community Team  can you verify that?what can we do to resume automatic charging of VCC at the time of reservation creation?is anyone else observing this change? How do you cope? It would be a pity if we had to manually charge those cards again..best regards,jp. 

Hey guys,Is anyone else experiencing issues with the Kiosk?It felt like we were getting a new version every two days, but the current one has been out for about two weeks now—and we’re still experiencing problems with the app freezing or getting stuck at every property.This is really tough for our hosts, who have to take out the iPad and deal with that while beeig alone on shift. Is someone from the Kiosk team here who can explain why this issue hasn’t been resolved yet?Best regards,Hendrik

We try to let our “green choice” free product only to be booked for reservations with min. stay of 2 but I really cannot figure that out. How could I do this? Thanks! Christina

Hierzu sind ein paar Fragen bei uns aufgetaucht:kann man individuelle HTML Befehle selbst einfügen? z.B. möchten wir gerne den Gastnamen anzeigen lassen unter Reservierungsdetails und auch den Name der Zimmerkategorie Kann man den Text unter dem Punkt Stornierung schöner gestalten. I’d love to hear how others handle this!Our Scenario:A guest books a single-occupancy room:Original booking: 100€ room rate + 8.25€ city tax = 108.25€ total. Later, the room rate increases to 120€ due to demand.When the guest arrives with an extra person, we update the reservation. Here’s what happens in Mews: "Keep old price" ticked: The system keeps the total at 108.25€, but recalculates the rate as 91.75€ + 2x city tax (16.50€). Problem: The room rate drops to 91.75€, which doesn’t reflect the original agreement. "Keep old price" unticked: The system recalculates the room rate to 120€ + 2x city tax (16.50€), totaling 136.50€.
