Mews password reset email (unwanted)

Hello, We’ve been getting Mews emails lately: “as per your request; you can reset your account password ….”However, no (active) staff member or myself asked for a password reset.I can apparently disregard this e-mail. However, should I be worried someone is trying to get into my account?

Phishing emails via Booking.com

Dear all, since this week, we notice that booking.com accounts have somehow been hacked and our guests are asked to update their credit card details via a link or else the booking will be cancelled.and a warned person counts for 2, so watch your security and weird messages sent through Booking on your behalf.This happens not only via the extranet but also via SMS/whatsapp.

action log - no possibility to undo actions?

Hi. I wonder why the action log does not offer any “undo” buttons? As an admin I am also only a human being and I do make mistakes when it comes to setting rates, adjusting rates, changing reservations ao. Pluss the lovely hotel guests make changes, want different rooms ao.Should be a no brainer to put up an “undo” feature? As this one will get logged too…Or am I blind for the actual possibility already being there?Best regards,Karola, Hindsæter, Norway

Asking guests for arrival time in Online Guest Services

We currently use a third party to handle online checkin and digital keys, one of the main reasons is that we find it useful to know approximately what time guests would like to check in, and this to be automatically reflected in the arrival time shown in Mews. It also gives the guest the opportunity to buy early check in as an extra.Now that Mews is offering digital keys, I want to see if we can stop using and paying for the third party system and do everything in Mews, hopefully also giving a more seamless experience for the guest.According to the Mews support chat it is possible to ask guests for arrival time in the Mews online check in, but I have never been able to find out how to do this.Has anyone got this working directly in Mews?

Hallo zusammenWie handhabt Ihr das mit den House use Zimmern beim Check-In. Diese Zimmer erscheinen ja nicht als Anreisen, weshalb man die immer auf ‘ner separaten Liste aufgeführt haben muss, für Réception und Service.Wir arbeiten mit dem “Raumstatus” als Mouvieliste und dort werden diese natürlich aufgeführt. Es wäre aber schön, wenn diese auch als Anreisen im MEWS erscheinen würde, oder wie seht Ihr das? - Eine “Idea for upvote” dazu besteht schon bereits seit dem Jahre 2020 und seither ist - natürlich ein Mal mehr ;-) - noch nichts weiter geschehen.Freue mich auf ein Feedback von Eurer Seite und wünsche weiterhin frohes Schaffen.Franziska

Disable on day pre arrival mail

Is there a way to disable the pre arrival e-mail that is sent the morning of arrival.I know that there is a option in the bookable service but i am not sure if this deactivates both the mail two days before arrival and the mail on the day of arrival.Is there a way to disable only the mailing on the day of arrival?

Hallo zusammen,wir hatten heute eine spontane Kassen Nachschau Prüfung durchs Finanzamt. Folgende Berichte werden nun verlangt für die BIZZON Kasse und MEWS:DSFinV-K-Datenexport TAR-Datenexport der TSEAußerdem benötigen wir noch die TSE Nummer. PDF Confirmation with and without rates

Hello, How can I have confirmation PDF to send to my clients? So far I can’t only download a pre invoice or a register document for the reception. And many of them wants the confirmation PDF without the rates, especially when it’s a Company booking or some agencies. Thank you!

Returning customers and credit card problems

Dear Mews freaks here,does anyone have the same problem as me? If there is a direct reservation from a customer or is a returning customer who has a credit card in his customer record an automatic mail is still sent to the customer to say that there is no credit card in the system for him even though he has given it on the phone. Is there any way to do this when a reservation is made for a returning customer that the credit card is automatically linked to the new reservation? And furthermore, when we are checking in a customer, Mews indicates that no pre-authorization was made for the reservation even though it is present in the system. Is there any way to avoid this. Hope someone can help me with this? Robin

Zwei-Faktor-Authentifizierung Android login geht nicht mehr. URGENT

Hallo zusammen,Die Zwei-Faktor-Authentifizierung auf einem Android Phone funktioniert tadellos, doch nun erscheint keine Codes mehr von Mews. APP wurde mehrere male schon neu installiert, auf Mews wurde ein Zwei-Faktor-Authentifizierung Reset gemacht. Das Android Phone kann weiterhin von unserer Rezeptionistin nicht gebracht werden.Danke um jeglichen Hinweis.Besten Gruss Kevin

How can I add more custom payment types? E.g. for AIRBNB payouts (reservations fully paid by AIRBNB), what “payment type” can I use? I want to use “AIRBNB” as a payment type, but there is nothing similar.

Hello, I want to build an availibilty calendar on my hotel website. For that I wanted to use the services/getAvailibilty API Route. Mews Support said to me that I need register a private integration in order to use it. But for that I would have to become a Mews Partner. Do have to that really just to use the API? Thanks.

Buchhaltung und Reisebürokommission hinterlegen.

Hallo zusammen, ich hoffe es geht euch gut? Wir arbeiten seit Juli mit Mews und kommen gerade an ein Buchalterisches Problem. Oder wir machen es zu einem was. Meine Erste frage ist, wie bucht die Communitiy die Kreditkarten au (wird das in Datev oder eine anderen Buchhaltungssoftware gemacht) ? Meine Zweite Frage ist, wie habt ihr sogenannte Reise Büro Kommissionen/ Provisionen angelegt? Ist das als Produkt oder Zahlungsart angelegt?  Um meine Frage einmal mit hintergrund wissen zu füllen, unser PMS war vorher Suite8 (Fidelio). Hier gab es verschieden Zahlungsarten welche wir auch difinieren konnten. Das PMS hatte eine eigene Buchhaltung funktion. (Debitoren Verwaltung und Ausbuchungsfunktion für Kreditkarten etc.) Das gibts bei Mews ja selber nicht. Und weil diese Frage bisher nicht aufkam und wir hier gerade nicht weiterkommen mein Post :)  Liebe grüße und eine angenehme Woche. Christian Jakobs

Falsch tokenisierte/aufgeführte Girokarten

Ist euch schonmal aufgefallen das Mews bzw. Stripe mit denen Mews die Zahlungen abwickelt nicht nur Kreditkarten tokenisiert, sondern unter Zahlungen auch Girokarten als tokenisierte Kreditkarten auftauchen … Hierzu haben wir vermehrt die Nachfragen von Gästen, da diese Pseudo-Kreditkarten wohl auch auf Rechnungen aufgeführt werden und die Nummern scheinbar nichts mit den Giro-Nummern zu tun haben … Die Gäste sind hier verwirrt und auch für uns macht das wenig Sinn.Wir hatten dies mal vor einigen Wochen bei Mews mal angesprochen und uns wurde bestätigt das dies komisch ist, aber mehr haben wir hierzu nicht.Weiß hier jemand mehr?

Anzahlungen

Hallo in die Gruppe. Hat jemand Erfahrung mit Anzahlungen sowie die dazugehörigen Anzahlungsverrechnungen und insbesondere die automatisierte Abwicklung dieser. Aufgabenstellung, wenn eine Buchung mit einer der jeweiligen Buchungskondition zugeordneten Anzahlungsregelung (100% / 50%) auf welchem Wege auch immer erfasst wird, sollte in der Reservierung die dazugehörige Anzahlungsanforderung automatisch erstellt werden. Ist eine automatisierte Abrechnung aufgrund fehlender Zahlkarte nicht möglich, sollte diese Anzahlung als offene Forderung stehen bleiben. Freue mich über Informationen und Erfahrungen

editing items in a rate set up already

Hi hope someone can help.We are going to be updating our rates that are currently set up. When we include a New item, the old item is not deleted from a booking already in the system. This means we have to go into each individual booking and cancel the item we don’t want included anymore. Can anyone suggest another way to do this to make it easier?

Double payments - not following routing rules !!

HELP! All our reservations from Booking.com and now also Expedia/hotelscom is NOT following the routing rules that have been set up AND working for over 3 years…..Our flexible rates are supposed to become non refundable → charged to the BdC virtuel card latest midnight 48 hours prior to arrival date; and our non refundables are supposed to be charged directly upon booking/at confirmation…. see below ex from the system:Rate Flexible rate room only OTAArrival 2024-10-20 14:00:00 SundayDeparture 2024-10-23 11:00:00 WednesdayReservation sourceBooking.comCreated2024-10-09 20:51:33Scheduled payments & preauthorizationsReservation number Rule Type Estimated time Actions 38768 100 %, Start Payment 2024-10-21 06:00:00  The scheduled payments all of a sudden  says payment THE DAY AFTER ARRIVAL at 06:00. We have checked EVERYWHERE - we can not find anything that says; charge day after arrival 06. Hi :)We want to offer our guest a 10% discount if they sign up for our newsletter.How can we do that ?If i make a voucher i Mews, they can use it many times. But i want the voucher to be valid for just one booking.
