Hi, I am new to Mews and I am looking for a way to automatically create a task when a product is added to a reservation, so the housekeeping team can see the task in their app (let’s say we add breakfast to the room and the team should see that they need to bring the breakfast to the room). I was told to use Zapier but it seems there is no option to trigger an action when adding a product? Any ideas or experiences what would work best? Thank you for any input :)

Hi everybody! I’m experience a new issue in which when I import groups with the import excel file each room is in its own separate bill instead of grouped with with the other rooms in the group.This is happening even though I added a group code/group name to have all rooms appear as own group reservation.At first I thought it had something to do with the routing rules but it happens without the routing rule, too. Anybody had any similar issues?

How do properties pull reports on what a company has produced in a given time frame. Is there a way to report on a  “Group by company” basis for supplementary revenue (conference, F&B) as well as Accommodation.We currently only have the ability to pull a “Group By Company” for the Reservation report for Accommodation.ThanksDarren

I’m trying to extend a guest that was supposed to check out two days ago.  When I change the departure date to a future date, I keep getting the error message "Cannot add or modify consumed items".  What does that mean and how can I extend the guest?

I was just on the Product Roadmap Webinar and wanted to reach out to Aldair directly about room block updates, showing on the timeline and the ability to book shoulder dates without having to split stay the reservation. I cannot figure out how to find an individual that is a part of the Community without searching through Topics and see if they are associated with that topic in someway. If someone could let me know how to search for individual members in order to private message, that would be very helpful.

Liebe Alle,da es in mews kein Mahnwesen gibt, tracken wir unsere Debitoren über das Hauptbuchkonto.Um zu sehen, welche Rechnungen noch offen sind, filtern wir zunächst über das Konsumierungsdatum und schauen uns dann die Daten, die bereits eine Mahnstufe überschritten haben, genauer an.Hier kommen wir zu unserem Problem: Wenn wir am 05.03.24 drei Rechnungen ausgestellt haben, von denen nur noch eine unbezahlt ist, so zeigt uns das Hauptbuchkonto die anderen beiden Rechnungen dennoch als unbezahlte Rechnungen an. Erst, wenn ich in das Profil gehe sehe ich dann, dass die Zahlung bereits getätigt und die Rechnung geschlossen wurde. Rechnungen gelten im Hauptbuch scheinbar erst als bezahlt, wenn man ein Datum nach dem Zahlungsdatum filtert. Jedes Datum davor zeigt bezahlte Rechnungen noch als offen an. Habt ihr vielleicht eine übersichtlichere Möglichkeit gefunden, um Debitoren zu tracken? Liebe Grüße aus HamburgFrauke

Hi Community, How are you handling having the strike-through rate appear on the booking engine? Our rates are derived from the base rate but are in different rate groups due to different settlement & cancellation policies. To show this discount to the guests we are creating fake ‘copy’ rates to place in the rate group. I feel that there must be a better way, how do others work to have this appear on the booking engine? Thanks,  

Hi guys,In order to increase adoption of the online check-in by the guests (we don’t actually have staff on-site, so they must, at some point) we are looking for a way to communicate the online check-in link through SMS messaging. Either through an integration, or through a self-build API interface, or any other way that’s possible.Anyone have an idea on how to do this?We’ve been looking for ways to automize the check-in process, and Mews recently did a wundeful update allowing the main booked to add details for companions. Now we need to increase guest adoption for this. And many don’t bother to read their emails.There’s a few messaging systems that integrate with Mews, and offer their own check-in solutions. But none seem to get it fully working for an Austrian property that needs to collect information on all guests and their companions.Anyone have any helpful ideas on this? Will be much appreciated!

We are looking for a handy payment provider for a voucher booking feature.As far as I understand MEWS payments doesn’t allow the use of its payment function for other processes e.g. a voucher booking tool. So what is the best solution to this problem. Do you have any suggestions. Obviously a separate stripe/adyen account would be an option and would prob. add additional payment options, but maybe anyone has a recommendation we could have a look into. Thanks for any suggestions...

Hallo liebe Community,wir erstellen derzeit in Mews Gutscheine über ein angelegtes Produkt. Die (fortlaufenden) Gutscheinnummern vergeben wir manuell und tragen diese dann in eine von uns erstellte Excel-Datei ein. Gutscheine, die dann eingelöst werden, müssen beim Einlösen erst umständlich auf Gültigkeit etc. geprüft werden.Das ist alles andere als eine optimale Lösung.Welche Erfahrungen habt ihr gemacht und wie löst ihr das Problem?P.S.: Unsere Restaurants arbeiten mit Lightspeed, die ein tolles Gutscheinsystem haben. Leider können die Gutscheine dann nur über Lightspeed eingelöst werden und haben keine Integration zu Mews.

A question on Space configuration.If the vast majority of your rooms are configured with a “normal bed count” of 2, how do you go about allowing a child or an infant to be booked and stay in parents bed.This is challenging when you operate with child rates, and want to have the applicable rate added. I have the following set-up for extra persons.Infant (0-2 years - Free of charge)Child (3 - 12 years - charge applies)Teen (13 - 17 years - charge applies)Adult (18 years and over - charge applies)If I increase the normal bed count, then 3 adults can book a space which can sleep 2. There is no possibility of adding an extra bed.All tips are appreciated.

Hallo zusammenWir arbeiten seit kurzem mit DUVE. Nun stellen wir vermehrt fest, dass wenn ein Gast seine Daten erfasst, diese ins falsche Profil übernommen werden, sprich die Daten werden in den zweiten Gast übernommen. Habt Ihr auch schon Erfahrungen damit? Wie handelt Ihr dies?

Hallo liebe Community,wie sind eure Erfahrungen mit der Einstellung, dass der HSK Status nach x Tagen von geprüft auf schmutzig springt? An sich ist das eine gute Sache wegen Staub, aber woran erkennt die Hausdame, ob es sich bei dem schmutzigen Zimmer um einen Statuswechsel oder ein wirklich zu Reinigendes Zimmer handelt? Das ist bei uns noch nicht so übersichtlich.An starken Abreisetagen mit wenig Anreisen werden bei uns manchmal Zimmer liegengelassen um den Personaleinsatz zu optimieren. Dann wäre ein schmutziges Zimmer nicht gleich an der Abreise zu erkennen.Eventuell hat ja noch jemand einen Trick17 :)Liebe GrüßeVanessa

Suddenly we woke up today to find something really weird with our Mews account. This is what happened: for every customer that we have whether they have checked out before and paid their bills or they are currently checked in and have already paid their reservation, in their profile page, and in their Billing section, all the billing Items names are changed to “Invoice refund” for no reason whatsoever with a negative amount.How is that change possible? Who can change the invoice names and stateWhy would Mews change the name of all these invoices?

The price of the product/breakfast does not reflect to Booking.com as an example. Hey,We operate capsule hotels, and our operations are mostly automated to allow the host more space to be there for the guest.The biggest issue we are facing at the moment is with online check-in. We use a solution from Goki that actually starts the reservation after completing the online check-in. However, as this solution is not as well-integrated as the one from Mews, we are experiencing difficulties in obtaining data from companions and also with early check-ins.Is the feature planned that the online check-in also starts the reservation on the day of arrival when the room is inspected?This would provide great value for all properties that use pin codes for doors, as the trigger to generate a personal pin code is the status change of the reservation from confirmed to started.Question: Is this planned, or is there a way to make this work? Best regardsHendrik

Hello everyone, I'm having issues with Mews and my connections to my Channel Managers, specifically Hotel Spider and Synxis.When we derive rates from Mews, starting from a base rate like Flexi and moving to a promotional rate where we apply a percentage discount of -10, -5, etc., Mews cannot round, which creates rates with decimals such as 0.1, 0.2, 0.3... which don't exist in Swiss currency, where rounding typically occurs in increments of 5. When we send these rates to the channels, they can round them. However, if we apply a rate where the client's card must be charged by Mews, when it comes back to Mews, the system doesn't charge the rate the client reserved but instead incorrect rates. This sometimes leads us to having to refund the client for a few cents. Does anyone have any ideas on how to work around this issue?

Hello im new here and only just gone on mews. We have set up automated payments which is working well except where card is declined. Is there a way to automate sending a payment link with predetermined text as I. have 2 card declined already today and 1 yesterday. Also is there a rule to stop mews sending payment link for airbnb and agoda bookings. Can I automate agoda virtual cards after they stay

Hello all mews users! We are based in Greece, and have Mews as PMS, Chanel manager SiteMinder and Mews booking engine, a and their payment terminal and functionalities. So far so good, until a new regulations came live: The Greek government wants us to be directly and lively connected to MyData which is a governmental plateforme.  To make it short, when you checkout and proceed with payment, all this needs to be send to the plate form. So far some people says that mew will be able in a while, other says that mews will not be able to connect, other says that with an invoicers application and not site minder as Chanel manager things can be done. We are a small property and for a start we can do this manually until we have concrete answer weather Mews will find a way or not.  Dear Greek properties can you please send us some insights ? Best

Hello everyone, how do you split amounts with Mews? For instance, when you receive a payment and need to allocate it to different bills. Also, how do you handle check-out if you have multiple guests in the same room who want to split the bill among themselves? Personally, I find it a bit cumbersome to have to use a calculator and recreate invoices via Excel after the guests have checked out.

Hi All, As I’m looking into the booking engine configuration, I noticed the price comparison with competitors. Enabling it will be shown on the booking engine but the content is not sufficiently updatable where we might want to show different rates from different competitors. Even some of the text display content are not editable such as “Book online, get more” which I might want to update/change.For example if I put 3 competitors I can’t seem to put a price for each competitors, since the configuration field “Competitor price relative adjustment” is applied to all displayed competitors.Does it seem to you that this feature, although very useful and informative, can use more advanced configuration and tweaking to cater for a more personalized experience and data display for each Hotel Owner? 

Hi Mews community,Advice please, How are you monitoring reservations where guests are potentially already blacklisted? It is possible that a guest makes another reservation with a different OTA which sends a generic email address. What work around have you found to identify these potential profiles that need to be merged? We also work with kiosks so checking on arrival is not possible. Thanks for any options,
