Hi Community, We just noticed that some of the google tag events being passed from our Mews Booking Engine installed on our website are not complete: For example:Name and Phone of the person booking the reservation Number of nights reserved “view_item_list” even used for multiple eventsIs there any documentation that explains how Mews sends the google tag events. And if it is possible for us to customize the events that are being sent by the booking engine?

Hi :)When i go to our booking engine today, it is possible to book rooms much more than one year ahead.Our rates are only updated 1 year ahead.Can i close the booking engine for sale more than 1 year ahead ?Is it with a restriction ?Thank you 😄

Hallo liebe Mews Community, wir haben innerhalb eines Mews Accounts mehrere Services angelegt. In konkreten Fall geht es um einen Service “Übernachtung” in welchem alle Individualbuchungen gebucht werden. Der zweite Service ist für “Gruppen” angelegt. Nun haben wir leider das Problem, dass alle Kennzahlen auf dem Dashboard, im Berichtswesen und in der Zeitachse immer nur den gewählten Service anzeigen. Äußert schwierig, wenn so zum Beispiel auf den ersten Blick nur die Anreisen aus einem Service, Auslastung etc. sichtbar sind. Permanentes switchen und addieren ist unpraktisch. Dies zieht sich durch bis z.B. in die Preisgestaltung, da auch hier nur die Belegung aus dem einen gewählten Service angezeigt wird. Im Berichtswesen gegenchecken hilft leider auch nicht, da bei Auswahl beider Services auch die Verfügbarkeit gedoppelt wird. Das schöne Dashboard soll besonders in der operativen weiterhin auf einen Blick die Kennzahlen kombiniert aus beiden Services zeigen. Der bisher einzige Punkt

Hello everyone. The accounting department would like to have access to or view invoices in Mews. Unfortunately, I cannot select this as a permission in the user management. Which permission do I need to select or which role do I need to assign so that the accounting department can view invoices?

We are in the unfortunate position of having to use Synxis because of a membership/partnership agreement. I feel like a small part of me dies every time i have to update or change anything in the Synxis system, it’s like time travel but not in a good or fun way.Does anyone have any good tips about handling dynamic package products that come via Synxis into Mews? Right now we are handling using Zapier to check Synxis reservations if there is some dynamic package product included, then adjusting the reservation in Mews accordingly.Has anyone found a better way of linking Synxis dynamic package products to Mews products?So this is extras not linked to a particular rate or “static package”, things chosen extra by the guest like for example a bottle of wine, or a fruit platter etc.

Hello, I have tried to figure out how to auto-allocate rooms along with automatic check-in and unique PIN code instructions per room, but to no avail :) The problem I try to figure out is this:- We have a small nature resort consisting of tree types of accommodation. - Each type has a few different cabins.- Every cabin has a lock box with a PIN code to access keys (a manual one, not electronic).Now, here’s where I wonder what to do:I need to auto-checkin people, giving them unique instructions about the cabin’s whereabouts, the number of the cabin and the PIN code without requiring them to check in. We don’t have a manned destination, so kiosks / iPads and the like won’t work. I have tried to look at the info we might access from MEWS when sending emails, but it does not seem to me that I can put in this unique info per cabin anywhere? Or do any of you know how to do such a thing? Thanks :) 

The chat handling in mews right now is very simple and does more harm than good in our case. We already have a chat system with ai integration which is a lot better. The question is: is there a way to remove the mews chat completely?I know that it is possible to remove the chat link from the email but in the mews portal it is still possible to access. We need a way to remove that completely until it is a viable option to use.

Hallo zusammen,ich habe einige Herausforderungen mit der Darstellung von Provisionen. Wir arbeiten mit OTAs zusammen, bei denen der Gast direkt zahlt. (Bspw. 100€ für eine Übernachtung)Der Gast reist an, muss nichts bezahlen, und wir erhalten das Geld des OTA anschließend abzgl. der Provisionen von let´s say 20€. Operativ wird der Gast ausgecheckt und die Rechnung als offene Rechnung auf den Account des OTAs verschoben. Nach Geldeingang verbucht die Buchhaltung -20€ Provision und die restlichen 80€ als “externe Zahlung - Überweisung). Der Datev Export stimmt, das Controlling stimmt, alles fein könnte man meinen - wie kann ich in diesem Fall jedoch die Vorsteuer ziehen?Wie macht ihr das? Wann verbucht ihr die wo und wie Provision? Wie geht ihr mit dem Controlling von OTA Zahlungen um? Freue mich auf den Austausch.Lieben Gruß,Julian

We would like to send different emails to a guest making an enquiry than to a guest placing an optional booking.Now they both get a quotation.But a guest who makes a quotation we would like to give only a quotation and clearly indicate that no accommodation is held for them.Whereas with an option, you actually want to indicate that the property is indeed being held.Now the chatbot gave the idea of using other languages to create a different mail. However, you are then faced with the problem that product names are also named in that language.I am sure we are not the only ones with this problem. How did you solve this?

Liebe Alle,seit geraumer Zeit bin ich auf der Suche nach einem CLX-Report, welcher eigetnlich eine Standardfunktion eines jeden PMS sein sollte (!?). Leider haben wir jeden Monat extreme Differenzen zwischen dem Manager Report in MEWS und dem Report in BIZZON (POS by MEWS). Dem Support ist es leider nicht möglich den genauen Grund zu nennen, vermutet jedoch, dass es an Stornierungen von Produkten liegt.Das würde ich natürlich gerne prüfen - finde aber nichts :( (Das Aktivitätsprotokoll hilft leider auch nicht weiter, da die Filter nicht richtig funktionieren) Habt ihr eine Lösung? Liebe Grüße aus HamburgFrauke

Good morning, Since yesterday I have noticed something new (?) when making a reservation. A ‘lightning’ sign appears under the quotation total, mentioning ‘Billing automation applied’.Is this a new feature or something which impacts existing processes?No changes to Mews were made by me prior to this appearing.

Are there any free options to continue automatically listing rates with Google Hotel Search after it ends its integration with Mews on July 1?    On May 10, we received this email from MEWS announcing the discontinuation of the program. We appreciated the ability to list on Google Hotels via the MEWS integration in the past. It worked fine, and it was free.We’re looking for alternatives now that don’t cost money. Posting in this forum because didnt see any discussion about the ending of this integration yet.  “Hi Mewser, We're writing to let you know that Google has decided to discontinue its Google Hotel Search integration with Mews, effective July 1st, 2024.   This means that as of that date, the connection between Google Hotel Search and Mews will no longer be supported.    Why? hei, does someone knows how to remove ‘house use’ reservation when i can’t press on that reservation. it looks like inactive reservation, but i can’t overwrite that reservation. when i try to make new reservation over that old  house use i get msg that its occupied.

Hallo zusammen,wir haben Ende Februar MEWS für unser Hotel und BIZZON im Restaurant eingerichtet.Es ist seither öfter das Problem, dass an einer Verkaufsstelle die Kassenschicht mitten im Service sagt, sie ist abgelaufen und es muss eine neue geöffnet werden. Das Problem ist, dass sich dann keine neue Kassenschicht öffnen kann und man mit der Verkaufsstelle nicht mehr abrechnen kann. Das Datum, wann die Kasse das letzte mal geöffnet wurde, steht dann aber plötzlich auf dem 29.02., als wir unsere Kasse eingerichtet haben.Der Tipp vom Support war, jeden Abend die Kasse zu schließen und morgens wieder zu öffnen. Das machen wir nun schon seit einer Weile, aber das Problem taucht immer wieder auf. Weiß jemand, wo ich suchen könnte, an was das liegt? LG, Aurelia Faber 

Hello dear community,For some time now we have had the problem that offers, booking confirmations etc. can no longer be sent via Mews if the recipient's e-mail has its own domain, for example a company e-mail address. We then receive the error “550 5.7.1 Recipients have complained about included content (B-URL)”. We now also have templates without a link in the email where the error is still displayed. Does anyone else have this and have an idea what we can do?Thank you very much.

Hi 😊How do we open a new shift without doing this:Click +Transaction received. Choose the Currency of the cash you're putting into the cashier for the shift. Under Value received, enter the amount of money you're putting into the cashier for the starting balance.We already have a starting balance, is that wrong ?  If it is wrong, how do i remove it again ?Thank you 😀
