Hello mewsters!I have been struggling with for a long time: what would be the best way to manage apartments that are located in different addresses than our hoste/hotel? We currently have two separate mews “profiles” but it doesn’t seem to help. One of the problems is to send individual confirmation emails/arrival instructions. I know there is lot of PMS’s systems that can do this easily, but is there a way to do this with MEWS?Thanks for sharing your best practices and tips!

Hallo liebe Mews Community,wir stehen regelmäßig vor einer zeitaufwendigen Herausforderung mit unserer Kurtaxe. Diese wird über die Kurverwaltung durch AVS verwaltet und abgerechnet. Aktuell ist unser Workflow so, dass wir die Kurtaxe manuell einen Tag vor Anreise im Rahmen unserer finalen Anreisekontrolle in Mews für jede Buchung buchen.Trotz sorgfältiger, mehrfacher Kontrollen kommt es leider immer wieder zu Diskrepanzen zwischen unseren Kurtaxe-Einnahmen in Mews und der monatlichen Abrechnung in AVS. Um die Fehler zu finden, müssen wir derzeit mühsam jede einzelne Kurtaxennummer in AVS mit der entsprechenden Rechnungsnummer in Mews abgleichen. Bei 81 Zimmern und aktuell rund 2000 Roomnights pro Monat bindet diese Kontrolle fast zwei volle Arbeitstage eines Mitarbeiters – eine enorme Belastung! Und der Sommer kommt erst noch...Daher unsere dringende Frage: Hat jemand eine Idee, wie wir diesen Prozess optimieren können? Gibt es vielleicht eine Mews-Integration oder eine andere Schnitt

Hallo Zusammen, hat jemand Erfahrungen mit dem Aktivieren dieser Funktion (Also dem als bezahlt gegenbuchen von Rechnungen) trotz Datev Schnittstelle via Omniboost? Es wird ja an einigen Stellen davor “gewarnt” die Funktion bei angebundener Schnittstelle zu aktivieren. Was ändert sich dadurch für unser Steuerbüro? Und ich habe es munkeln gehört, dass MEWS eine eigene Datev Schnittstelle bastelt, weiß da jmd. etwas genaues? Danke euch! Viele GrüßeChristian

Hello fellow Mews users,I'm currently facing a challenge with managing "sandwich days" in our booking setup. We typically require a minimum three-night stay for arrivals on Thursdays, Fridays, or Saturdays. However, when a guest books from Tuesday to Friday and there's another arrival scheduled for Sunday, this blocks potential guests from booking a Friday and Saturday stay.I'd like to enable two-night bookings starting on a Friday in such cases. Could anyone advise on the best way to create a manual restriction in Mews to allow this?Additionally, how does your team handle these types of sandwich days? At the moment, I'm manually scanning the timeline for the entire year to identify and adjust them, which is quite time-consuming.Any tips or best practices would be greatly appreciated!

Hello, we run a nature resort at visitlaagen.no. We have integrated with Zapier to give a better experience using automated SMS giving people all the info about their stay, including the code to the lock box of their exact unit on the day of arrival. It’s working like a charm.However, after having integrated with Booking.com, we got ourselves a problem. Having flexible tickets at Booking.com means that customers are free to rebook their stay at another date. This completely messes up the Zapier integration. There is a Zapier field called “Updated” which is supposed to provide info about the altered bookings. This field would probably help, because we could then listen to that field when it returns an updated booking and change it accordingly, However, the “Updated” field seems to return all the available bookings instead, making it impossible for us to discern the updated ones. Any ideas on how to fix this?Best,Jan

Ist es möglich, bereits ausgestellte Debitor Rechnungen komplett zu stornieren? Es handelt sich um uneinbringliche Forderungen (Firmen sind insolvent), eine Zahlung wird nicht mehr stattfinden. Buchhalterisch sind die Forderungen aus dem Umsatz genommen, aber wie korrigiert/storniert man die weiter existierenden Debitor Rechnungen dazu? Besten Dank!

Hallo Zusammen, uns stellt sich folgendes Problem:Wir möchten einem Gast ein Angebot für einen Aufenthalt in der Kategorie “ANGEFRAGT” senden.Gibt es keine Möglichkeit die Kategorie ANGEFRAGT ohne Optionsende zu versenden?Der Gast erhält momentan bei jeder von uns verschickten ANFRAGE eine E-Mail mit dem Text: “Ihre Reservierung wird gehalten, bitte bestätigen sie bis zum XX.XX” Dies ist aber faktisch falsch, da wir in der Kategorie ANGEFRAGT kein Zimmer für den Gast zurück halten, diese sind alle weiterhin offen buchbar. Korrekterweise müsste der Text in der E-Mail umformuliert werden, es müsste von Angebot und nicht von Reservierung gesprochen werden und das Optionsende müsste gestrichen werden. Dies führte nun wiederholt zu unangenehmen Telefonaten und Mailverkehr.Hat jemand ähnliche Erfahrungen gemacht oder kennt eine elegantere Methode eine Anfrage für ein Zimmer zu versenden? Vielen Dank!

Hi :)I found this info: Mews automatically maps your space categories; you can remove any you do not wish to send. If you want to add more, you can manually map them.But how do i remove a space type from the booking engine ?Do i need to map all my categories to do this ?

Hallo,Wir sind recht neu bei MEWS und haben in der Timeline für eine längere Buchung eines Stammkunden um den Zeitraum zu blocken blöderweise nach dem wir mit MEWS Online gingen vorerst einen Verführbarkeitblock eingetragen. Der Kunde hat langzeit über mehrere Monate gebucht, jetzt möchte ich den Eintrag löschen und in eine Buchung ändern. Habe gelesen, dass dies nicht möglich ist, bzw. mach 7 Tage in die Vergangenheit (https://help.mews.com/s/article/can-i-create-or-modify-a-reservation-for-a-date-in-the-past?language=de).Ich verstehe, dass es die Buchhaltung ändern würde und diverse Journals, jedoch ist es so halt falsch für die Buchhaltung als auch die Statistik. Ich möchte eine korrekte Statistik und auch muss der Kunde Rechnungen über MEWS erstellt bekommen. Hatte jemand schon mal ein ähnliches Problem bzw. weiss Rat? Ich weiss, dass es nicht sonderlich schlau war. Das selbe haben wir bei einem anderen Kunden gemacht, mit der Absicht es nachträglich zu ändern.  Gruss Moritz  

Has anyone found a way to make availability blocks visible on the timeline? Right now, I create availability blocks with the links so that guests can book online, but nothing shows up on the timeline to indicate that those spaces are blocked for those dates. The best I’ve done is to add the event to the calendar, which then shows up with blue dots along those days on the timeline. I like using the availability blocks for events, but our front desk staff hates that when they scroll through the timeline to check availability, there is no visible block or anything to indicate that those days are blocked until they try to create a reservation. 

Hi there, We’re in the process of starting with a new OTA. How do I make an incoming reservation immediately do the following? 1) create two bills: one for the guest (city tax + incidentals to be paid by guest); one for the OTA (prepays accommodation). How do I route specific items to specific bills?2) to have the bill for the OTA automatically associate with the OTA (so guest remains owner; OTA is associated profile)Thanks! 

Moin zusammen,habt Ihr das auch? Wir haben im Profil offene Posten und eine verknüpfte Rechnung auf Firmenanschrift, das Gastprofil als verknüpftes Profil. Wenn ich über das Gastprofil die Rechnungen aufrufe, dann zeigt Mews die offenen Posten und die verknüpfte Rechnung. Will ich jetzt von den Posten auf die verknüpfte Rechnung verschieben, zeigt Mews mir die auf die Firma laufende Rechnung nicht an. Ich muss über Firmen danach suchen. Das ist aber nicht immer so, ich habe den Unterschied noch nicht erkannt. Hat da jemand eine Idee?Danke und viele GrüßeLeif

A guests need a booking confirmation with all the guests names for Visa purpose.I have added all the names to the booking but when I send out the confirmation only the main booker name shows up. How can I sent out a booking confirmation with all the guests names on it?

It would be a great development if there was the option of having saved filters for reports in the reporting area. Not in the export version, but that you can save reports with your own filters and create them as required. And not have to adjust the filter every time. Analytics is not an alternative for me here.

Gibt es irgendwo eine Übersicht über die laufenden Tickets? Ich habe ein wenig den Überblick verloren, da ich mehrere Tickets am laufen habe. In den E-Mails finde ich die Chatprotokolle der Tickets.Für mich ist es verwirrend, wenn ich einen Antwort auf ein Ticket bekomme, ohne Bezug dazu. Ich bekomme eine Ticketnummer, aber in den Antworten wird kein Bezug darauf genommen, sondern da steht irgendeine lange andere Nummer. Es kommen öfter schon mal Rückfragen zu Tickets, aber ohne Bezug kann ich nicht antworten. Dann frage ich zurück, aber bis die Antwort kommt, dauert es ja immer ein wenig.Bei DIRS habe ich eine Übersicht über die erstellten Tickets und sehe auch darin die Antworten. Hier bei Mews weiß ich nicht, wo ich nachschauen soll, was noch offen ist und welche Antwort bereits kam.Habt ihr auch das Problem?

I can't figure out if I can implement a restriction the way I want to. I wish to restrict a space type to a specific LOS based on lead time. For example: If it’s less than 10 days before arrival, a 3 day LOS requirement If it’s more than 10 days before arrival, a 4 day LOS requirementIs this possible?

Hello!I am a new Mewser and would love som guiding now when I can not get the Onboarding Wizard to show. I am using VPN but tried everything from taking this away to allowing third party cookies but it just does not show. I dont like to take these away ofcourse when I want to make as much safetymoves online as possible.Any guidence on how to get the Onboarding Wizard showing in a safe way?Best regards,Arpan
