Guten morgen liebe Community,wir sind im Januar mit MEWS gestartet und haben riesige Probleme mit der Anbindung an Datev.Wir haben bereits im Dezember die Anbindung an Omniboost aktiviert und bis heute schafft es Omniboost nicht, uns die Anbindung zur Verfügung zu stellen bzw. ins Laufen zu bekommen. Das heißt wir sind buchhalterisch und umsatzsteurmässig quasi blind.Hat jemand von euch, einen Tipp wie wir die Daten aus Mews rein und nach DATEV reinbekommen?Im Grunde ist es ja nur eine csv Datei mit dem korrekten Datenmapping - nichts wildes, aber Omniboost bekommt es nicht hin.Ich verzweifle und wäre für einen Tipp sehr dankbar.Viele GrüßeClaudia Will

Hi Fellow Mewser, I´m trying to find a way to override restrictions. Once a (rate-)restriction is set, no one might be able to override them. Is there a way to give some users (like Mangager / Admin accounts) the permission to override restrictions? It would be very helfpul if you could assign those authorizations to some users.Looking foward to your input and maybe a helpful solution!Thanks in advance ;)Sascha

Hi,We are an inn and have somewhat differing rooms even though they share the same category so we must have room optimization allocated by a human. It is now too easy for the staff to press on the space optimization button and “destroy” the work that was done manually. Is it possible  to have the space optimization feature turned off so that it doesn’t appear in the calendar?Thank you

We have a minimum stay of 2 nights set up. Can I create a promo code (voucher) and allow booking for just one night? I tried to do it, but the 2-night restriction blocks the voucher.

Hi, After i have connected Expedia direct, i have a lot of issues with my rates with breakfast.How is your setup done ?I want to make sure that the is a difference in the rates with breakfast depending on how many persons that are staying.

Hoping someone can assist me with an answer! We have a dynamic rate structure. The MEWS booking engine displays an average nightly rate when potential guests are shopping. However, guests are not made aware that the rate is an average rate and not a nightly rate. Has anyone ran into this issue and how did you get around it? Also does anyone have a suggestion on how to send rate breakdowns after booking? Thank you community!! 

Hello!Self-Checkin after midnight seems to be not possible, because the room status becomes reset to dirty at midnight even though the respective reservation has not been checked in yet. When the guest arrives after midnight check in is denied because „room not ready“.is there a work around or setting I missed?it would help if the time the cleaning status becomes reset could be set to a later time, like 4 am…what are your tips and experiences?kind regards,Jean-Philipp.

Unsere Steuerberaterin hat aktuell Schwierigkeiten mit der Umstellung – wie lief das bei euch?Welche Listen oder Formate übermittelt ihr an eure Buchhaltung bzw. euren Steuerberater? Hi there,Is there a way to manage parent room categories when using a CRS connectivity that calculates availability based on reservations rather than being sent per room type?For example, if we have two Standard Rooms with connecting doors that can also be booked as a "Family Room," the issue arises when both Standard Rooms are reserved. In Mews, the Family Room correctly becomes unavailable, but in the CRS, it remains bookable since no reservations are directly blocking that category. The same issue occurs in reverse—if the Family Room is booked, the Standard Rooms remain available in the CRS.Currently, the integration does not support parent room functionality, but developing this feature could unlock significant revenue potential. It would be great to explore the possibility of implementing it.Best regards,Robert

Hi everyone,Simple questions. During a booking on our website, we want only the room with the appropriate capacity to appear. For example, when a family of four wants to book through our system, only the family room should be shown, not the standard room. For the moment they can see all the types of room, so there is no filter in the booking ? Thank you.  

Hallo Mewsler,seit dem 24.02.2025 haben wir ein Problem mit der Schnittstelle Mews Connector zu Messerschmitt. Wenn ein Gast über den Mews Kiosk eincheckt und eine Zimmerkarte erstellt, wird die Zimmernummer nicht angezeigt. Der Kartenerstellungsprozess wird in Mews als „in Arbeit“ angezeigt, und anschließend erscheint eine Fehlermeldung.Ablauf des Problems:Der Gast checkt über den Mews Kiosk ein. Die Zimmerkarte wird erstellt und ausgegeben. Im Mews Kiosk bleibt der Status „Kartenerstellungsprozess in Arbeit“. Bonjour,J’était curieux de savoir comment d’autres hôtels géraient les fausses réservations. Quand je parle de fausses réservations, ce sont les gens qui réservent pour 1-2-3 semaines, souvent venant des mêmes pays en particulier. Souvent fait sur booking.com, ils prennent l’option de la carte virtuelle, ce qui fait que nous ne pouvons pas déclarer la carte de crédit invalide, et annule leur réservation 1 semaine avant. Ce qui nous fait perdre la chance de louer la chambre en question et ne nous donne pas beaucoup de temps de la relouer. Souvent, ces gens font ces réservations pour des demandes de visa ou autre. Sur Hotello, nous annulions directement la réservation sur hotello même si active sur booking sachant bien qu’ils ne viennent jamais et nous donne la chance de louer la chambre. Sur Mews, lorsque nous annulons cette réservation, qui peut être plusieurs mois avant la date d’arrivé du client, lorsque le client annule sur booking.com, 2 jours avant ou 1 semaine avant, l’inventaire

Servus zusammen, habt ihr denn bei Euch im Betrieb auch eine Cyberversicherung? Ich denke in der heutigen Zeit sehr wichtig und sinnvoll. Wir haben diese schon seit einigen Jahren. Bei der Durchsicht unserer Policen mit der Vers. Agentur ist uns bei den Versicherungsbedingungen aufgefallen, dass hier Backups gefordert werden. Mindestens wöchentlich mit einer Aufbewahrungsdauer von zwei Wochen. Wie habt ihr das gelöst? Dear All, in my first impression (we went live 3 weeks ago) the online check-in asks for CC incl. verification at online check-in even if the guest has gone through 3Ds before (at time of booking for example)? Is that possible? I do understand the guests’ frustration there. While I do agree we need to have a mindset shift in the DACH region and normalize cc capture and verification I believe this is exaggerated. Could someone confirm if my first observation are correct? Where do I see if the guest has successfully gone through 3Ds in the profile?

Hallo liebe Mews-Community!seit einiger Zeit können ausgestellte Debitorenrechnungen ja von den Gästen direkt über den Button *Mit Zahlung fortfahren* bezahlt werden (via Mews Payment / Kreditkarte).Gibt es eine Möglichkeit diese Funktion zu deaktivieren?Wir möchten gerade bei großen Rechnungen zum Beispiel bei Hochzeiten und Tagungen auf die zusätzlichen Abzüge von Mews Payment verzichten und möchten hier eine Banküberweisung haben. Hat sich jemand mit dem Thema bereits auseinandergesetzt oder hat einen workaround?Liebe Grüße Felix 

Hello, our org does not permit the use of cellphones during working hours, so we are exploring alternative two-factor authentication methods. I can not see if Mews support FIDO2 security keys, or are there any plans to support them in the future?  

Hallo zusammen,Trotz Richtlinie bis 1 Tag vor Anreise konnte eine kostenfreie Stornierung ein Gast seine Buchung noch am gleichen Tag bis 09:00 Uhr aufheben. Anschließend bin ich hier flüchtig am Einstellen, inklusive Testbuchung, sodass wir sehen, was MEWS dem Gast ausspuckt. Leider immer etwas anderes. Unsere Richtlinie wäre bis 1 Tag, aber 18:00 Uhr kostenfreie Stornierung möglich. Was hinterlegt Ihr, nur 1 Tag, Stunden? Komm hier immer auf ein anderes Ergebnis, leider nie richtig.Liebe Grüße Kerstin

The trigger for a new booking event on Zapier isn't working, even though the zap test was successful.Which  values do i Have to use for the time starter if I want to search for reservations arriving in the next 5 days?

Great that the number of stays is now shown in the returning guest icon on timeline, but it would be REALLY great (and more logical) if the number of stays was included everywhere the returning icon is displayed, like on the guest profile, reservation summary, manage reservation screen.
