Noticed some inconsistencies in your price recommendations or KPIs across systems? If something feels off, there’s usually a reason - and it’s easier to fix than you might think.

This is one of the most commonly raised concerns from users. When data doesn’t line up, it can feel like something’s broken. But in most cases, the system is working exactly as it should - it’s just missing some key context from you.

Let’s break down the most common causes (and what to do about them).

1. Check the report logic

Not all reports speak the same language. Different platforms (your PMS, BI tool, Atomize, etc.) can calculate KPIs in different ways.

If you’re comparing reports and something looks off, the first step is to check:

  • Are the filters aligned?

  • Is the logic for RevPAR, ADR, or occupancy consistent?

  • Are you comparing like for like?

  • Think that occupancy % could be calculated in different ways: excluding or including certain room statuses, like out of order. Which one are you looking at? Compare rather absolute values,  Room Nights occupied,  if there a doubt.

Still unclear? Flag it to support - we’ll walk through it with you.

2. Keep us in the loop on room type or inventory changes

Adding or removing room types? Adjusting inventory?

If the Atomize system isn’t updated, it could keep optimizing based on old data. That means recommendations might feel off - even if the math is technically right.

A quick heads-up to support goes a long way here.

3. Inform us about upcoming closure periods

If you’re planning to close availability for certain dates or spaces - whether for maintenance, renovations, or events - let us know in advance.

Otherwise, Atomize may still forecast and recommend pricing for those dates, skewing your performance data and pricing logic.

4. Update us on target rate or master rate code changes

Your target rate (or master rate code) is a core part of how Atomize generates recommendations. If it changes and we’re not informed, you might see unusual pricing behavior.

Always notify support if your rate structure changes. It’s a small step that prevents big confusion.
