Seeing price recommendations that feel too bold? You’re not alone - and you’re not stuck.
Let’s break down what could be influencing Atomize to push prices higher than expected, and how a few quick checks can make all the difference.
First, why this matters
Price perception is one of the most common concerns we hear from users. But often, the system’s doing exactly what it’s been told to do - based on your current settings.
Without realizing it, some users have minimum prices or offset rules in place that are unintentionally forcing Atomize to aim higher than necessary. The good news? It’s easy to fix once you know where to look.
1. Check your minimum prices and minimum offsets
These two settings can have a big impact on price recommendations - especially if they’re too aggressive.
-
Minimum price: Sets the floor for what the system can recommend. Too high, and your prices may not flex with demand.
-
Minimum offset: Controls the gap between room types. If this is set too wide, Atomize may push higher room types beyond what the market will bear.
You’ll see these limits marked on your calendar and the All Stay Dates view with special symbols:
🟦 = Min price limit
🟥 = Max price limit

2. Review your seasonal hierarchy
Don’t forget: seasonal settings can override your base rules. That includes different min/max prices or offsets for specific seasons.
What looks like a pricing issue might just be a seasonal override doing its job.

What to do
-
Review your price boundaries regularly - especially during shoulder seasons or event-heavy periods.
-
Start with your lowest room type and work up. Check how offsets are influencing the others.
-
Make sure seasonal hierarchies reflect real business patterns (not just what seemed right during onboarding).

Final thought
Atomize isn’t guessing - it’s calculating. If pricing feels off, it’s often because the rules behind the scenes need a quick tune-up. Once aligned, the system can flex with real demand and deliver the performance you’re looking for.
