I’m reaching out to the community to connect with others who are working with availability blocks that include parent rooms—i.e., room types that consist of two or more child rooms from different categories. We’re especially interested in setups where these blocks are used for seasonal or yearly contracts, and how availability is managed across those periods.

Additionally, if anyone has experience integrating Zapier workflows into availability block management, we’d love to hear how you’ve approached automation or data syncing.

Just to clarify, availability blocks that include parent rooms behave the same way as direct bookings in Mews. When a parent space is booked, all associated child spaces become unavailable. Similarly, booking a child space will also make the parent space unavailable. For more information, please refer to the guide here.

Additionally, could you let me know what type of automation you’d like to create, update, or interact with via Zapier in relation to availability blocks? This will help me explore the best possible solutions or workarounds for your case.
