Hi everyone,

I'm trying to find a way to view a report that shows the specific promo codes our guests have used.

We can create unlimited promo codes linked to a single Voucher in Mews. However, the booking report that groups by voucher only displays the associated Voucher ID, not the individual promo code that was actually applied. This makes it really difficult for us to measure the effectiveness of our marketing campaigns.

I've also tried extracting this data via the API (as we have access), but the booking reservation only includes the Voucher ID, not the unique promo code.

Has anyone found a solution for this, or is there a report I'm missing? Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Hi @GrupRV

If you are familiar with Google Tag Manager / Google Analytics, you could try building something there.

Selecting a promotion code on the IBE triggers a Google Analytics 4 eCommerce event.
https://mews-systems.gitbook.io/booking-engine-guide/integrations/google-triggers-reference#select_promotion

With GA, you could then follow through the purchase, and correlate the select_promotion event with the purchase event.

Like this, you would also have a tracking of how many people were interested in the promotion vs. how many actually bought it (conversion rate).

But as said initially, this requires some Google Analytics Know-How to build it.

Best, Marc

Hello Marc. Thank you for taking your time on this response!

It's true that I can do a track in GA, although as you know this is going to give us at most 30 or 40 percent of the reality :- ( Customers are increasingly turning off tracking in their browsers.

We will try this as a workaround, but ideally we would be able to get this information from the PMS. Thank you again for your time!

Greetings!
