restrictions applicable on several space categories (but not all)

If I want to block out dates for certain room types, I need to create a restriction for each space category separately which is time consuming plus confusing as at some point you might delete a restriction and as there are so many, mistakes could be made

I have 8 roomtypes, and only want to sell 1 category during certain dates. That means I need to create 7 restrictions. it would be easier if we could select from the list on which categories it applies. At the moment this is not possible, you can only select 1  category (it’s one or all categories)

Hi @kerstinB,

I’m Paul - one of the Community Ambassadors - and I’m happy to help clarify your questions regarding creating restrictions for multiple space categories at once.

If you need to block out dates for certain space types or space categories, you only need to go through the restriction creation flow once. When creating the restriction, in the section “Spaces”, select “Space categories” or “Space types” (depending on your needs), and a drop-down menu will appear, where you will be able to select multiple space categories or space types that you would like to restrict (see example from my demo below). This would allow you to create the restriction once by selecting the 7 space categories that you want to close during the desired dates (instead of creating 7 individual restrictions per space category).

It is important to note however, that selecting multiple spaces creates multiple, and individual, restrictions.
