This might be already possible, but I could not find anything regarding this topic.
Is it possible to limit a reservation to an X number of rooms per reservation?
Say, anything above 4 rooms per reservation, please contact the property directly.

You can limit the amount of adults (not reservations) making a booking at the same time in your Booking Engine.
Just type "booking engine" in Mews search bar and select first option. Select the Booking Engine you would like to limit and scroll down to "Maximum adults to be able to book in one booking":
So when going to the Booking Engine you will see a 🚫sign when you hover over the ➕ which will also change to a lighter grey when they try to add more people to it.
Adding a message at this point would be a feature request that you can share with our Product Managers here
