The name’s Sarah. You may already know me but if not, I’m looking forward to getting to know you in this community. I’m the Senior Community Manager here at Mews. You’ll be seeing my face quite a bit around here as I’m responsible for moderating the communications in this community. That means I make sure information flows fast between customers and the product team and that no question goes unanswered.
I’ve worked in the SAAS industry for 6 years building and managing successful customer communities before I landed here at Mews in January 2022 - so, I’ve already got the community T-shirt, so to speak
I’m based in a leafy county called Surrey in the UK - not far from London. I am married and we have two young daughters who keep me busy. Zen for me is being in the great outdoors, running, hugging a tree or doing a spot of gardening. What is your zen?

Hi all,
I am Isabel working with The GATE GARDEN HOTEL Berlin. We are a boutique Right in the heart of the capital, a more than 150 years old building with an unmistakable historical charm and a beautifully landscaped Mediterranean garden.
With my combined hospitality revenue management and software background I am very much enjoying the onboarding of Mews as our new PMS. We will go live in in January and I am excited to connect with anyone, especially Germany or Berlin based properties.

my name is Jannis and I am running an 300+ years old manor house hotel in the countryside of Germany. We are located between Berlin and Hamburg in the Lake District of Mecklenburg.
Our former PMS was HS3 and we are planning to go live in February/March. I am most curious how we can optimize the guest journey and our upselling abilities with MEWS. Automatization is much needed since we are a small company without a lot of staff and generally do a lot ourself as owners.

Unser Hotel verfügt über 48 Zimmer, zwei Restaurants, verschiedene Veranstaltungs- und Tagungsräume sowie eine eigene Brauerei.
Seit dem 20.11.2024 arbeiten wir mit Mews und sind bisher sehr zufrieden.
Die Einarbeitung dauert natürlich noch etwas, aber wir sind alle zuversichtlich und sind froh, auf einen Neuanfang.
Wir entschieden uns für die 3. Kombi: Mews , Hypersoft & Eventtemple.
Ich bin gespannt auf euer Feedback und eure Ratschläge, die ich dann meinem Team weitergeben kann, damit wir unseren Gästen die bestmögliche Gastfreundschaft bieten können.

Hi @Jannis A. Welcome to the community. What a beautiful hotel, although I’m sure it comes with it’s challenges being +300 years old! I hope the preparations for go-live are going well. You mentioned a few points in your post that I wanted to help you with. Firstly, I would suggest joining the DACH-group where you will be able to connect with other properties in your region to discuss such topics you mention: DACH-based customers | Community Secondly, there is a webinar recording on upselling here that may be helpful, and a community panel discussion on maximising revenue. We also have a community group specifically for properties migrating from HS3 that I suggest you join. I’m Inka from Germany and I started as a Customer Support Analyst at Mews in December.
