As this community grows, it’ll become more and more exciting to understand who all is contributing alongside you. As a virtual icebreaker, we’d love for you to introduce yourself and your hotel brand in a reply below. The only requirement is to include a fun fact 🙂 I’ll go first! 

 

Some of you may already know me but for those who don’t, my name is Jennifer Bumgardner and I am a Customer Success Manager at Mews. A number of you are actually customers in my portfolio who I catch up with often! Outside of managing the success of our accounts, I’m also one of the team members responsible for running this group - you’ll see me here frequently! 

 

I’m a former hotelier of the luxury, independent segment and began my career in operations at the only five diamond hotel in the state of Texas, Hotel Emma. A few years later, I transitioned into management at the South Congress Hotel in Austin (which is where I currently reside and work remotely). I was recruited to work for ALICE after launching the platform at SCH, and I spent 2+ years in various Customer Success roles before later joining the INTELITY team. In October of 2022, I was welcomed to Mews and have loved the ride ever since 🚀 A fun fact? I was raised in Germany and am a double black-diamond skier ⛷️

Hey there.  My name Robin Koetje, and I am Vice President of Information Technology with Staypineapple Hotels.  We are new to Mews this year and from March to August we have deployed Mews at our 10 hotels.  It’s been a great journey and we are looking forward to collaborating further with Mews and other Mews customers to continue to evolve the platform!

Staypineapple Hotels is a boutique brand in Great markets like Seattle, Portland, San Francisco, San Diego, Chicago, New York City, and Boston.  Our love of dogs, hyper personalized service, and the “Naked Experience” set us apart from other brands. (see our website for more details on that :-))

I’ve been in the Hospitality industry my whole career, and just in the last 2 years moved over to Staypineapple to start my next chapter.  Prior to joining Staypineapple, I had worked with a Hotel Management Company who’s primary focus was third party management of franchised hotels under the major brands.  It has been a great change for me to move over to an independent hotel company in the Boutique space, which has allowed us to pursue exciting systems like Mews to deploy for our portfolio.

When I’m not focused on Staypineapple, I like to travel with my wife, Stefani, and spend time with our two daughters who are now Seniors in College and High School.  My fun fact, I spent my summers in High School and College as a commercial fisherman in Alaska.  


Hello! For those who don't know me, my name is Jason and I am the Director of Customer Success at Mews. My career has been rooted in technology, and I come from a different sector of the hospitality world - meetings, events, and conferences. 

For fun, I enjoy traveling with my wife (who works in hospitality) and our 9-month-old who already has his TSA Global Entry. 

As a fun fact, my high school job was working in the Chick-fil-A kitchen where the famous Chick-fil-A sauce was invented. And yes, I do know the recipe!

I am extremely excited for where we are taking Mews in supporting North American hospitality and appreciate everyone's feedback and contributions in this group that will help us all create a remarkable hospitality experience for anyone who wants to see the world.


Greetings from the Sunshine City of St. Petersburg, Florida! 

I’ve been a Mews user since December 2023. Our property is the only one and is comprised of 54 Guest rooms (2 rooms in our promoted inventory are not used as Guest rooms, taking the actual number to 52) and 17 parking spaces. Including myself, we are a team of 8. We all wear many hats and onboarding with Mews was a game-changer for us last year. As each month goes by, I discover something new we can do. I’m the property’s master user/master admin so, no pressure or anything!

About me (from my Mews Community profile): Veteran Disney Cast Member at the Walt Disney World Resort and Disney Cruise Line in Florida; retired from Disney and was then asked to serve as the GM for the Mari Jean Hotel, the Premier Adults Only Hotel on Florida's West Coast!

I learned last week that there’s a North American community for which I’m grateful, people in or close to my time zone! 


Hi there!   Hello from Washington DC (or rather remotely from Kent Island in Maryland!) I am the Director of Commercial Strategy with TBC Hotels.   I have been a MEWS user since 2022. We have two hotels on this PMS: The Poppy Georgetown Guesthouse and Gardens (Washington DC) (15-Key guesthouse) and Block Party Hotels (Beach House Dewey + Atlantic Oceanside Dewey) in Dewey Beach (Delaware) (108-Key beach hotel in coastal town).

 

I have onboarded both hotels and currently manage commercial sales and digital marketing strategies on both.  I also lead/support top line growth and strategy for 4-branded hotels within our portfolio.   

Originally from the UK but lived in the US for 22+ years.   And love to see that while I love our European allies, it’s great to have an American Alliance Community here, due to the different challenges/solutions between the geographical markets.
