Mews Payment supports various payment card types . To view the cards you have set up, follow these simple steps:
Locate the "Supported payment card types" section: Go to Menu > Marketplace > My Subscriptions > MewsPayment > Edit. Scroll down until you find the "Supported payment card types" section.
Contact your dedicated Mews contact person, such as your Onboarding Manager, Customer Success representative, or the Support team.
Provide a written request: Send a quick email confirming the credit card type that needs to be removed. This helps ensure clear communication and alignment with your request.
After a couple of days, you will be able to see the changes and the undesired cards will be removed from your MewsPayment. You can easily check these changes within the integration.
Please note the following important information:
This change will affect all direct reservations made through the booking engine. However, if you use a channel manager, it is crucial to inform them about the card type change. Channel managers do not have a way of automatically detecting this update, and they may still accept the card type that you won't be able to charge. Take proactive steps to inform your channel manager about the change.
In case you have a direct integration with an OTA, you need to contact them directly regarding the card type change.
